Congrats. You brought back memories of my journey almost 30 years ago. There are many opportunities in the USA. Many Jamaicans take advantage of the opportunities and do extremely well. I moved to the US from rural Jamaica with only a high school diploma. I was basically on my own from day one. Along the way, I earned a PhD, which gave me access to good paying jobs and a strong network of professionals. I am now planning my return to Jamaica.
I am glad to see you have the support of family and friends. Hold you head up high and work hard. Good luck.

Kim, when i saw how happy you guys are it brought tears to my eyes. Your husband is amazing. I see that he is much older than you are but girl, the love is strong. I was in a relationship with a much older man and he lives in Canada. It did not work out because he is very toxic, controlling and a narcissist. I really cared about him but i had to end it. You prove to me that when 2 people are inlove age does not matter. Thank you for sharing your journey and giving women like me hope. Enjoy your husband and always be respectful to each other no matter what. All the best

Seems boo got loving and supportive family who isn’t bad minded. I like seeing family embrace each other and not trying to mash up someone else happiness because it might not be ideal in their eyes. I love boo and Alicia together, they complement each other very well

Oh my you made me cry even though my relationship was also long distance for two years coming from Canada to USA my emotions were the same. I left jamaica 🇯🇲 when I was 17yrs old leaving my family behind. Then when I left Canada I was also leaving friends and a few family behind it was hard & emotional x2 for me. Coming from Canada the immigration process was soooo long even with me be a naturalized Canadian citizen. I wish you guys the best. I too came to my hubby here in Fort Lauderdale we reside in North Lauderdale & I’m a nurse at Coral Springs. 💕💕💕💕 you guys
