I know this is a couple years old now, so you've probably gotten a lot better but just a bit of advice would be to angle your racket downwards when returning a ball. That way, your returns come back lower and are more reliable. What you want to aim for is about a 45 degree tilt of your racquet.
@@TonySticks No problem, glad to help. Also, I really appreciate the review because I just used it and a couple of others to make the decision to buy this robot now. I can't wait for it to arrive!
I would like to give some advise, for the forehand you should keep your elbow close to the body, not hitting haymakers. Also your backhand, instead of driving the ball like how a peholder would, use the forearm to go from side to side
Great review. Would you have any thoughts between the V300, the iPong Motion Trainer and the Robo Pong 2055 (or even the 2050)? I know the Robo Pong is the most expensive of the three choices, but not sure if the price tag is justified. Thank you!
A bunch of different websites have it listed with different controllers, e.g. ones with only top spin settings. Do you know if they can change controllers for it?
Great Video Tony, hopefully you still play table tennis even if only occasionally. that max setting top & backspin looks hilarious, but is probably decent practice if the machine is put away from the table and angled down.
Are you absolutely sure it only jammed on you a handful of times in 3 hours of play? My experience is that I had a handful of play in 3 hours of jams. I'm looking around hoping there's a fix for that before I return it.

The remote needs to work only if you are facing the machine anyway. Who would need to be behind the unit and shoot the balls to the other side of the table other than Flash Gordon, Speedy Gonzalez, Superman, Road Runner?
@@marcusvaldes Not exactly. A pro player can demonstrate better on what are the possibilities. A pro player will not demonstrate his capability in other words.
Hi bro, is it possible to set a random frequency? My english is not perfect, sorry. I mean it would Be Great if the time between a ball And another will not be the same everytime
In 6:45 when you put the max topspin (eight), the ball doesn't even pass over the net ? I don't see sense in mixing spins like 8 topspin With 8 backspin... it's not effective to trainning, the ball runs with no spin that way. I'm thinking to buy Ipong Pro but seeing 6:45 of the video, I'm doubt right now. Could you make a little short video demonstrating how powerful is the ball with only the max topspin ?
My table is stored away for a few weeks because the garage is being used for another project so I won't be able to make that request yet. Sorry, but take my word for it, max topspin speed is really fun, the balls are powerful and difficult to hit back if your a novice.
Thanks bro. I decided to buy it indeed, just finding a way to import here to Brazil. Another question: The batteries of the Remote control dures long ? and what type of batteries is it ?
after watching your review (and a few others) I bought this thing. I'm not blaming you or anything but I'm disappointed :(. I saw the robot works ok for you and others so maybe I'm doing something wrong so Can You Help Me? The balls I'm using are Cornilleau pro training balls. I bought a couple of boxes of 72. I wanted to do target practise so I'm not using Oscillation. I tried different combination of frequency, topspin and backspin but it doesn't work well. The problem is the balls doesn't throw at a consistent distance. Sometimes too short and goes into the net. I tried to use that little steps thing come with the robot to make it a bit higher. But the problem is it's not consistent so sometimes it goes over the table. Sometimes it's too short or even in the net. It happens too frequently. About 50% of balls are miss-fired like that. What do you think I'm doing wrong bud?
I bought one on Amazon, it is very nice, with rollers to stow away in two halves. The name is Pingpong Premier Table, and it costs 345 bucks, shipping included. It is a regular competition size table, and very sturdy. I love it.
