Standing further away from the table doesn't actually decrease the rate at which the balls come at you, meaning that it wasn't easier for them when they stood further away. However, I did notice a decrease in the speed of the balls.
but you still have longer time to react because you can see the ball coming for longer time. If a ball flyes for 1 sec you have 1 sec to react to the position of the ball, if it flyes for 3 sec you have 3 sec to react to the ball.

if ure further away, the balls slow down from air resistance, u have more time to move and set up for the next shot even without air resistance
