TRIVIA : In the late 1970s Universal Studios Tour had a Museum with props from their shows ; in there were original Night Gallery paintings . By the 1980s - museum was ALL GONE !! It also contained the Trilogy of Terror doll (!) . Yeah, the original one !! One of the paintings , I believe it was the Pickmans Model painting ; sold in an auction about 7 years ago . I think it went for $20,000.00 plus. I wonder if Del Toro bought it ?? I wish they would do a coffee table book with all the Night Gallery Art .
Thank you for your insightful commentary on The Night Gallery. It’s one of my favorite TV shows from my childhood. It was wonderfully weird and creepy and many of the episodes scarred me in the most delicious way, especially the one called Fear of Spiders. As a long time fan of the show I am very fortunate to own one of the original sculptures from the opening sequence, the strange and wonderful Bat Mirror. Thank you again for your warm and thoughtful discussion on the show. Cheers, Steve.
This was a FANTASTIC breakdown! So much insight, behind the scenes facts & detail. The House was sooo eerie & creepy. Now I'm gonna go find The Doll (I'm scared though 🤣), Certain Shadows on the Wall and The Dead Man. 👍💯 Thanks soooo much. I loved it! ❤
You’re a great storyteller.. Please do more from Night Gallery! May I suggest- “Dr. Stringfellow’s Rejuvenator”, “Brenda” and “Something in the woodwork” (3 of my favorite NG episodes) Edit: I know a lot of people are not very keen on ‘Brenda’ but I find it intriguing and also think it has much potential (in a creepier way) if it were to be remade as a short story.
❤️🤩✨✨✨Absolutely! I agree this lady is silly and an excellent storyteller! Enjoying her so much! 💯😆yes Brenda is creepy, but good. That was a good combo episode. Sins of the Father/You Can’t Get Help Like That Anymore. Outstanding performances by Geraldine Page, Richard Thomas, Barbra Steele, Michael Dunn, Cloris Leachman, etc.
there tearing down tim reillys bar, it was haunting and also somewhat charming in its own way. very intense, very haunting and also with a nostalgia for the times that they had , even if life and the world would pass them by.
I am enjoying your channel -- especially since I am older and remember all this from childhood. NIGHT GALLERY , at the time, was THE scariest thing on TV . It was on at 10 PM for a reason. The episodes that freaked me out the most were Green Fingers , The Earwig / caterpillar , You Can't get Help like that Anymore, THE DOLL , the ep. with the "reverse mermaid". The show was starting to stink by Season 3, however ; one episode recently discovered by me - was chilling: The Other Way Out. SIDEBAR: Here in the NYC area ; we did NOT get Night Gallery in syndication! Ever!! Even in its reduced 1/2 hour format. I was SO jealous of a friend that lived in Baltimore in the early 1980s that DID get NG in reruns! We used to call the 1/2 hour format "The Joanna Pettit Show" because it seemed like she was in EVERY episode -- as well as the boring Gary Collins episodes. TRIVIA : Joanna Pettit was good friends with Sharon Tate. Pettit had lunch w/ Sharon at the "death house" in the afternoon before the murders. Scary .
I loved Michael Blodgett in "The Velvet Vampire", which is kind of a kitschy early '70s vampire movie, one of my favorites. And Godfrey Cambridge played a great comic character in "Beware The Blob". That movie is hilarious.
Loved Fritz Lieber (you pronounced it right), great writer. Especially loved his Fafhrd and Gray Mouser series with the Jones artwork on the paperback covers. Still have them along with the first edition Howard Conan paperbacks with the Frazetta covers. Read them all when I was twelve or so, back in the late 60's early 70's. Great times. Great vid and perspectives!
Just found your channel, and think I may have found my people!!! I diiig these Classic Horror anthology series. And I love knowing there are people out there that fiend over it as much as I do ! 😆💯🎥👻👻👻🤩✨✨✨I’m enjoying listening to you retell these stories. 😁😆😄🍿🥤🥤🍿🍿
Supposedly, there were no supernatural elements to Serling's original script to "Clean Kills". In that, the son eventually lost it, decapitated his father and mounted the head as a trophy. The network objected and told Serling to tone it down.

Night Gallery is a little dated, but I loved getting creeped out by them as a kid. I tried to revisit them on streaming, but wasn't feeling that old dark magic.
OK, I understand that my question has nothing to do with Night Gallery, but I hope you don't get insulted. Are you trans? My grandson is 13 and came out as trans last year (female to male), and as a lesbian I know how difficult it is being outside what society considers acceptable. That being said, I want to show him as much trans representation as possible. Your channel is not related to being trans but it is also important for him to see that being trans doesn't mean that has to be your total focus in life. I love him so much, and with all the crap going on, I worry about him so very much. Sorry if I offended you.

Larry Hagman is great in “The Housekeeper”.
please also look into season two, it has interesting stories in it.
I appreciate the insight.

No, I'm not, but I'm not offended that you asked. :-)
