I gotta say you helped me ditch the idea of chain link or invisible fence… I’m definitely going with a GPS fence .. but I got to decide which one I like better … you’ve done both companies justice .. you’ve promoted them both (almost ) too well … thank you cuz no matter which one I go with I have real world input from you and not just what a website says .. not that either company would lie but 1st hand (fair) user review of each is so great .. keep up the good work

The SpotOn is easily the best of the bunch. It consistently tests better than any other collar I have. The Halo struggles with cloud coverage, tree density, and buildings. It functions decent and it will send you alerts, but they might be delayed or slightly off. On a good day, it's fast and accurate. Unfortunately, not every day is a good day. The SpotOn has been consistent for me throughout all the reviews, testing, etc. It's more expensive, but you don't have to pay a subscription as long as you are using it for containment and not tracking a lost dog. Plus, you can set up unlimited fences with it, without paying anything additional.

I've recently bought the SpotOn for my dogs and while I was trying to train them, I realized I can't hardly hear the tones to be able to turn them around and enforce it, do you have any tips or suggestions? Thanks!

I had to connect to my phone, and then I turned up the volume on my phone to hear.

The tones are very high frequency, almost too high for humans to hear. however, dogs have far more sensitive hearing in our range and can hear sounds up to 66,000 Hz, well above the capabilities of human ears. Unless you're aware of any hearing issues, I can't imagine they don't hear it. Some dogs react differently, however. My female dobie tucks her tail and tries to go inside when the SpotOn goes off. My male dobie's ears flick back and forth, but that's the only indication he gives that he's actively hearing it. SpotOn optimizes the collar's sounds specifically for dogs and you can't change it. You can, however, change the vibration and shock intensities. I found that vibration works better on mine than sound. I hope that helps and let me know if you find a key combination of sounds/vibrations that works!

There are more than one cursor / marker moving around on the app screen. What do the different cursors mean?

One is your smartphone or simply ‘your’ location and the other is the collar. It doesn’t really matter where your icon is, unless you’re testing the accuracy of the collar but, usually, yours will be inside while the dog’s icon will be outside. The SpotOn operates a little differently when not being used specifically for tracking.

I can't see the discounts for spot on.
