I so love this radio, it was so worth the money. I use it in the vehicle everyday. I often use it when the wife stays in the vehicle waiting for me when I go into a store I have a handheld with me so we can talk back and forth. Or sometimes I can talk the wife into talking a smaller HT in her purse when she goes into the store and I stay behind.
I had trouble with the mic on mine at first, it would look and feel plugged in but wasn't clicked in all the way. It takes a very firm push to seat the RJ45 plug. Took me a bit to figure that out when I first set it up.
I have the CRT electron which is the same unit it’s been fantastic works well in the car found it easy to program, only thing I can’t seem to do is scan my memories if you find out how. It scans in vfo up and down no issues. Regards Tony M7CVK
4:25 Is the word “signal” really misspelled within the radio programming? It literally says singal. This radio seems feature packed for what it costs but that’s the kind of thing that would bug me and make it feel cheap.
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I noticed in another video about this same radio that it is also spelled the same way. However it might be limited to just the Anytone version because the Radioddity DB20-G version of it has the spelling corrected. The DB20-G also includes the missing channels 8-14 on it as well, but still doesn’t allow transmitting on those channels.
I had to go into the programming software and load in my back up channel file. There is a drop down menu called 'Information of scanning channels'. One of the options is 'Revert Channel'. I changed that from 'Selected', to 'Last Used'. I then loaded the file back into the radio. It now works as I want it to!

Hi thanks
lol. Happy to know I was not the only one who had that issue :D Apart from that, it's a great little radio.
@@2E0LMI Yup I scratched my head for a few minutes lol. I was like 🤦 when I figured it out 😂
@@2E0LMI I am so happy with the radio it's crazy. I'm very glad I bought it.
By the way, I tested my new Retevis RT95 (same thing) with my radio club two days ago and on 10w everyone could clearly hear me.
Thanks for message .

How do you switch the mic gain on these
New firmware it's in the Menu
When scanning your memory channels how do you stop on channel with activity, mine continues to scan when gap between overs
Push ptt
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones still continues to scan when I do that, and I also get a tone
@@bobbyvillianueva1963 try hitting */MON key on the mic to stop scanning I think that worked for me
Neither of the suggestions above worked for me. This is my only frustration with this radio.

Hi, where did you got the v2.33 version?
Try ANYTONE DOWNLOADS
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones there is only the programming software, not the firmwares update
This doesn't work. The radio will tune to any channel in the menu but refuses to transmit. It's receive only.
Ok
What's the difference between this radio and the DB20 radio? They seem the same.
Many clones
