I've been subbed to you for years, always happy to see a new video from you. You absolutely made my day! Love you man, keep up the great work- I dont know how you're able to do what you do off the cuff, but its incredibly impressive.

3:47 my singer trying to tell me his guitar solo idea love the slightly out of breath talking in between runs "and then he AAAAAAAaaaAaAAAA and then AAAAAAAAA AAA AAAAAHH AHHHHH and then its like AAAAAAAA"
Idk if I'd call it impossible but I often blow my voice out from belting A7X's tonight the world dies on road trips. All this to say I think it'd be cool to hear you do it
me and my best friend know every SOAD song and most of Serj's solo stuff. As such, on long 5+ hour trips we will jam out. We sing and scream as if no one is listening and we know we suck but by the time we get to our destination, our voices are GONE and we love it
It'd be awesome to hear you attempt Chino's (Deftones) hiss scream in songs like Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away) at 3:14, Fireal at 1:08, and Bender (Sevendust) at 3:20
Vocals I'd like to see you doing: - The screaming cowboy part from Big Enough by Kirin J Callinan - The "rise, rise, rise, rise" part in Smash the Mirror from The Who's Tommy - Cyndi Lauper's Money Changes Everything, near the end where she holds the note for like 20 seconds
I think the final part of follow your ghost by periphery it's impossible ti replicate. So high and powerful, maybe the most impressive vocal performance I've ever heard
Love Reign O'er Me by The Who, particularly starting at 2:12: "Only love can bring the rain, that falls like tears from on high" then into the chorus. Or you might try to match Roger Daltrey's Live Aid 1985 performance, he kills it at the end of the song, starting around 4:00.
I wonder what your approach would be to Lana del Rey's songs, hard to suggest any song in particular cause I've heard only few of them, but I guess I'll go with 'Summertime sadness'. There is some childlike sounding voice going darker and deeper, I'd like to hear a male reendition/interpretation. Or maybe try 'Oi dromoi pou agapisa' by Eleni Vitali as a foreign language challange.
Devia Townsend, when??? The last "you saved me" line in Deadhead (live at Royal Albert Hall). And Festival, by Sigur Ros. (That freaking 1 minute note...)
I challenge you to sing the beginning of the song (scream included) Relax take it easy by Mika and You the first, the last my everything by Barry White I know they aren't rock songs, but I want to see how high and low you can go vocally
The whistle scream that Danny does in Cradle of Filth is pretty crazy and how he can transition to that so quickly. A great example is Frost on Her Pillow at 1:50
Well... Me and my brother used to do what we called the "Painkiller Challenge." Basically, at the end of Painkiller by Iron Maiden, there's this painfully high note that goes on literally longer than humanly possible. My brother was able to get through the whole note once, though it was a little pitchy. I can hit the note dead on, but... I just do not have the breath control to get all the way through it. lmao I bet you could do it though, without much issue even. I don't know enough about it to say why it is, but it's one of those notes that is just a little bit easier to carry than normal, like it doesn't require quite as much energy to get the same power out of it. EDIT: Goddamnit... It's Judas Priest, and I knew that it was Judas Priest.... Why do I ALWAYS do that? lmao
Sorry to double post, but... I would be REALLY interested in seeing you learn how to do that Arabian singing technique, if that's something you were interested in doing.
another banger of a video! great stuff man. here's a question for ya: if you could tutor one weaker singer out there, who would you tutor? Is there a singer you think you could improve with a few simple changes?
You could try You Raise Me Up (1 Octave Challenge) from Tommy Johansson. Try the normal chorus from 2:08, then about 2:40 onwards it goes really crazy.
Just wanted to say that being a musician today is one hell of a battle and to see people like you pushing forward and improving the craft that we all love is something that I admire. Keep crushing and I hope to see some more original content.
Crossfade is the band I relax to, and doesn't vocally destroy me. If you tried So Far Away, that'd be the highlight of my year. PS, I enjoyed watching you assessing and accepting yourself at the end.
Can't wait until you attempt the ending to All I Wanted! Even Hayley Williams herself has said she doesn't wish to play it live because it was so hard to record!
I have a real good one, try to attempt the ending of Tim Buckley's "Gypsy Women" (Live at the troubadour). It starts at 12:44 mark. You seem to be a fan of Jeff's vocals, lets see how well you do with his fathers chops :o
I would love if you tried: Imperial Circus Dead Decadence - Goku. It's a Japanese song and whatever he does at 2:34 (youtube timestamp) still baffles me.
lol, Grace and Love Hate Love would be also my picks of best/hardest vocal moments of all time, LHL is also better in studio version, and this crazy moment starts at 5-47 in the studio version, i don't even know how it's possible, i've relistened that moments a million times
Yes I feel like Jeff Buckley’s vocals are incredibly difficult to replicate, his crazy range as well as control and that super fast bravado, and the seemingly random way he uses it sometimes, really difficult, even HE seemed to have trouble exactly replicating his own vocals in live performances sometimes because of his own randomness in the way he riffs. Looking forward to your next one!
Yo Anthony, i'd love to see your shot at Satellites by Periphery, specifically the part from 5:20 to 5:35. Spencer Sotelo's vocal range in this song from soft to harsh lows to this high part has me in awe! Another fun thing could be Courtney LaPlante's one take performance of Circle With Me, when she instantly switches between clear and distorted voice multiple times near the end at 5:35. Take care! P.S.: I really enjoyed Soundgarden's "Another on bites the dust"! :D
Got a couple for you. Runaway by Black Dog Friday at the 4 minute mark ending vocalizing. Or the beginning screams/vocals on the cover of War by Shawn James.
Would love to see you tackle some of the vocals of Tommy Karevik (Kamelot/Seventh Wonder) but specifically his guest vocals on Ayreon - The Day The World Breaks Down (his part starts around 3:13 of this song) Another amazing vocal by Tommy in Ayreon - The Consultation (3:14 ish)
I have posted this challenge so many times and I think Anthony is just too afraid to accept. 🤪 Keeper of the seven keys by Helloween, the line “and the fifth, into the sea of ignorance”
hellooo! just wanted to say thank you for producing swag content, whether it’s 10 second songs, full songs, voice challenges, you never disappoint. you’re so damn talented my dude, keep doing what makes you happy :)
I think that the early parts of Coheed and Cambria's 21:13 has some amazing vocal parts. Not complex, but still really cool. Starts at about 35 seconds in on the youtube version.
I'm gonna suggest Freaks and Animals by Rishloo for the next one. The outro bit is so great, but specifically the high part at around 3:47 to 4:02 is insane.
Slaves and Bulldozers, Soundgarden. The distorted part to the high scream. I'd love to see this! Also Soundgarden's cover of smokestack lightning, you know the part.
The iconic scream from Won't Get Fooled Again probably isn't too difficult, but it's still very impressive. It's one of the reasons Roger Daltrey is my favourite singer of all time out of 100s I must've heard by now. His screams are just brilliant, even in old age. The Nile Song from Pink Floyd's More, where David Gilmour essentially invented metal vocals is difficult to sing although you'd probably find it easy. Paul Di'anno. Almost any song from the first two Maiden albums. Dickinson and Blaze are great singers as well, but I personally find Di'anno's songs hardest to sing. He also has a good scream, the title track of Killers being a good example. Just listen to the intro and you'll see what I mean. That song's also a good example of difficult to sing/scream. I'd mention the part in Run To The Hills where Bruce Dickinson goes through his entire vocal range, but apparently that's too easy. No less epic, though. I will mention his scream at the start of Number of the Beast, though. He's never been able to recreate it, even at his peak. Speed of Light proves he can still scream well, although it's not a particularly difficult scream. Even I could pull that scream off, and that's saying something. Still bloody impressive though, especially considering he recorded that whole album (Book of Souls) with a tumour on his tongue. Fortunately, he would beat his cancer. I'll also give a quick shout-out to the end of Children of the Damned. I once blew my voice out trying to sing along to it. Luckily recovered pretty quickly. I consider myself a fairly good singer as well. Nowhere near as good as you, though. Thom Yorke's scream in Climbing Up The Walls (near the end, I don't know the exact timestamp), and if you're feeling particularly brave, his scream in the infamous Beach House performance of Anyone Can Play Guitar.
A completely different genre to what you usually do, but I've not seen anyone recommend Prince on your channel before. Would love to see you try "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" from 3:50-4:05 of the official music video on UA-cam
PLEASE do a rock cover of Desert Rose! In the style of one of the heavier, darker bands like Three Days Grace before Adam left, or Avatar. If anyone else has any suggestions, please comment them!
Thanks for another great video, Anthony! You never disappoint! By the way, speaking of difficult song challenges, have you ever considered/heard Dir en Grey's Vinushuka? There are so many different genres of music all put into a song, it's a real treat to listen to. And it might make a cool challenge!
Red Sharks by Crimson Glory, at around the 3:30 marks, got to be one of the tightest most high pitched singing I've ever eared, think you should give it a try, Midnight's singing was out of this world

Chris Cornell - Another One Bites the Dust tomorrow. Come back.
Oh my god, yes
For more Cornell, try the final verse and chorus on Wooden Jesus by Temple of the Dog. Starts at around 2:30. Incredible singing.

'Beyond the Wheel' by Soundgarden is my number 1 favourite song in the entire world. His vocals, the lyrics, the instruments... Perfection.
It is one of my favorites as well, plus 4th of July. I love every sound that came out of Chris' mouth, to be honest.
Beyond the wheel, slaves and bulldozers, black rain, mind riot, like suicide, nothing to say etc. Him and layne are my favourite singers ever
