phuket luxury villa tour + island nightlife | 🇹🇭 travel vlog

We’re in Thailand for two weeks, and we’re excited to take you with us to Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai. We’ve just arrived in Phuket, so we’ll be giving you a tour of the 2-story private villa we’re staying in for the next few days and show you around Patong, home to the the famously raucous nightlife scene featuring beer bars, go-go bars, nightclubs, massage parlors, and cabarets that overflow into the street along neon-lit Bangla Road.

Places we visited (listed in order of appearance in the video):
1. Sawasdee Village Resort & Spa: Absolutely gorgeous and stunning boutique hotel featuring ornate oriental decor and style (think a mix of Thai, Islamic, Indian influences → TBH it gives me Aladdin vibes in the most wonderful way). We stayed in the Baray Villa: a two-story living space that includes a downstairs living room, upstairs bedroom, 2 bathrooms+showers, an indoor dip pool, and outdoor private pool and sundeck leading to the main canal pool. This was such a good value room - very reasonable rate for how much space you get. And the bed is GINORMOUS. It’s an 8 foot bed - a “texas king” sized bed fit for the kings and queens that you are.
From their website: “an exotic oasis like no other. Nestled amongst lush nature, just minutes away from Kata beach. Gleaming pools, waterfalls, and an award-winning spa set the tone for peace, relaxation and healing.”
2. Sawasdee Thai Cuisine: The restaurant inside the resort - surprisingly decent food, although prices are definitely a bit higher than other places around the area.
3. Patong Beach / Bangla Road: Adjacent to Patong Beach, Bangla Road is a buzzing and vibrant strip that’s a great place to start your Phuket pub crawl. It’s a few blocks plastered with the neon lights, throngs of tourists and touts, street vendors selling snacks, and dance anthems pumping from the plethora of go-go bars and clubs. Come for live music, souvenir shopping, drinks, and
4. New York - Live Music Bar: Loved the music here. They sing a great selection and range of American/English hits. Depending on the band, they can even sing in other languages like Mandarin and Korean! No cover charge when we went, but you’re expected to purchase drinks if you do enter. People do smoke here, though.
5. Game Space Laser Battle: An arcade that was pretty empty when we went, but had some AR/VR games, laser tag, and common arcade games.
6. Patong Paragon Gun Shooting Range: A hidden, tucked away shooting range with friendly staff. A promoter will be holding up signs on the main road, and they’ll help bring you to the right place. Prices here are not cheap, but we had a good time.
7. La Piccola Cafe & Restaurant: Charming and aesthetic Italian spot outside of Bangla Road. They have AC indoors which was a godsend from the heat. They make all the pizzas fresh in the oven outside. The pizza wasn’t to our taste, but to be fair, we didn’t try anything else and they have great reviews.
