- Welp, I just felt like recording this in a "digitized" format today. I also slightly color corrected the footage. By the way, I didn't crop the short this way. My projector slightly crops the picture because of the film gate. The only way for me to get an uncropped version is if I scan the short professionally, something I don't see happening anytime soon...

I recall these prints continued to be used into the early 80's.
Nice, with the soundtrack taken from the CD "Tom and Jerry and Tex Avery Too!"
Nice! This must be a TV reissue print
It is indeed a TV print
@@TheProjectionistsVault Yes, this was standard when the T&J's were syndicated to TV stations in the 70's and 80's.
This video uses the original soundtrack from Tom and Jerry and Tex Avery Too!: The 1950s Volume 1.
This was originally in widescreen, but this version was Pan & Scan, and the opening and closing is a bit worse, because the characters were cropped out. I remember seeing “Tom & Jerry” on WPIX-TV back in the 1980’s where they ran any of the cartoons that were originally in CinemaScope, and it lacks the widescreen process and the opening and closing are not that great, either the titles are stretched or cropped out, but you can’t read.
WPIX-TV began using the widescreen process in the Late 1990s.
This was how I first saw these.
It's ''Scat Cats'', featuring Tom and Jerry's Spike and Tyke.
