Agreed. However, with the right attitude, almost anything can be turned around. Hopefully Brexit will make a positive influence for the better given time. At least being free of the worst of the EU malaise, can't make it any worse and it won't do any harm to have to start thinking for ourselves again. That's my view anyway.

Right at the start the van is blown up at Crystal Palace Park, London and at 0:10 behind Michael Standing and Michael Caine is the TV mast that, to this day provides TV signals to London and much of south-east England.
I awoke this morning with this song in my head. Strange because I haven’t seen this movie in years. I first wanted to watch it because I own 2 Mini Coopers. The Minis are the stars of this movie! ❤
I saw the Movie in 1969 when I was in the Army. Liked the movie, except the part where they destroy those two Beautiful English Jaguar XKE's. They were my favorite cars along with the Ferrari's.
When film-makers want to show destruction of an expensive car, they'll often get hold of a written-off specimen that can never again be roadworthy, and patch it up so that it looks the real deal but isn't actually worth tuppence.
They both are good in their own different ways. I liked that the US version didn't just do a boring scene-for-scene remake of the exact same film. No way they could've pulled off a British comedy. And yeah, I also liked this one a little bit more, but no reason to make it which is better... just my opinion.
When you think of it, several of the scenes are evocative of the world we now inhabit. Take what you will -- even injure what you will -- 'cause you deserve it. Just sayin'.
Come on lads, don’t be Lardy Dahs- put on your Peckham rye, your daisy roots and whistle & flute- leave the trouble & strife behind, pop down the rub a dub. & Hold on, cos I got a great idea!
