Charlie Croker (Michael Caine) is out of jail and on the make with an ingenious plan for the heist of the century. Aided and abetted by top criminal mastermind Mr Bridger (Noël Coward), Charlie sets off with an ace team of villains and three very special minis to lift $4,000,000 from under the noses of the Turin Polizei. The trouble is that the cops and the Mafia are on his tail.

this is the most British film imaginable, I mean taking valuable things of other countries and all the while being as charming as ever
No one likes you Ryan. Go cry into your pillow.
@@ryanboyle4935 It's the most British working-class film. Land grabbing and robbing other nations of resources was the business of the aristocrats and the poor bastards who had no other choice but to enlist or face starvation.
And as usual the remake was too American to be called worthy.
@@ryanboyle4935 cope, Rule Britannia.
Nothing charming about the Brits whatsoever . Just as the Irish don't say to be sure to be sure either ..all bollicks if you ask me . Movie industry fantasy.
"YOU'RE ONLY SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE BLOODY DOORS OFF!"
You were only supposed to blow the bloody DOORS off..!!! BEST line EVER.. maybe I'll have it as my epitaph!!!... with The Self Preservation Society playing in the background, as my sobbing husband, Richard Armitage, SOBS, COMPLETELY uncontrollably, banging the floor with his fist (he always was a tad OVER theatrical.. bit TOO thespian, if you ask me.. but what can you do?..I love him.. let's face it, NOT many would.. face like the back end of a bus) as he leads the congregation out.... note to self..think lockdown is taking it's toll..!!😂🤣😂🤣
Classic
That phrase is my best Micheal Caine impression. I can actually sound like him but only with that one phrase.... Lol
Such an iconic line, on a par with..."Are you 'avin' a laugh? Is he 'avin' a laugh?"
I will genuinely be gutted when Michael Caine's time comes. I wish he could live forever
He’s a crap actor rhough
@@acptelford1307 maybe in his younger days.
@@acptelford1307 I would have to disagree. His comic timing is impeccable in this and Alfie. He plays an evil villain effortlessly in Get Carter. Utterly convincing as Harry Palmer in The Ipcress file. These are just some of his earlier offerings. I could go on... A genuine national treasure!
Still fun to watch after first seeing it 35 years ago. Humor in the film never gets old. Great theme.🏴
Still one of my favourite films.
Who ever's done this, you've done a great job.
Yes, an Italian job
saw the movie this week. Cliffhanger ending.
Quite literally 😅
There's bunch of physics and math scientist try to solve the real ending of the movie
@@SpicyBean there really is a sequel i just don't know where to find it
🤦🏻
Should have a strapped the gold down
Gosh - after all these years I'd forgotten how slick, well-made and funny this film is. And with a glittering musical score, too.
Quincy Jones did the music score.
This is one of the most iconic British films ever made, and I am so happy that my Dad Laurie Clarkson was involved as a Sound Recordist with the Italian Job. Happy Father's Day Laurie Clarkson.
Love this film, Michael Caine, Knowl Coward done a fantastic job with this film. A true British Classic.
*"Knowl"!!!* 😂😂😂
We all work together as a team, and that means you do everything... I say.
There is only ME in TEAM.
HA ha
Well, every team needs a leader
God!
I’d forgotten how good this film was!
ONE OF THE GRAT BRITTISH ICONIC FILM
I can’t stop watching the film and listening to this song
🇬🇧 classic British movie, hell of cliffhanger.
Blows my doors off laughing, everytime I watch this classic.😁
Most classic British film ever! Great actors and genius director(he plays the part of waving the minis in the back of the coach as it was so dangerous) brilliant one liners, superb driving, the list goes on!...super cool film....when Britain was great, unlike the cesspit it is now turning into~~
Agreed. However, with the right attitude, almost anything can be turned around. Hopefully Brexit will make a positive influence for the better given time. At least being free of the worst of the EU malaise, can't make it any worse and it won't do any harm to have to start thinking for ourselves again. That's my view anyway.
Don’t forget Benny hill
@@thepub245 aw mate I know this comment is a year old, but fuck me. Brexit will make a positive influence? Its the worst decision a western country has made in centuries
Give me the number or you’re talking out your backside.
YOU AINT WRONG M8 Its AFRICA / ASIA / CHINA / GAYDO LAND 😣😣😣OH AND OWNED By THE YANKS !!!SAYS IT ALL g
Love it. The country could do with a lot more Spirit.
C’MON ENGLAND! 🦁🦁🦁🏴
There should’ve been an Italian revenge film featuring the mafia in fiat cinquecentos...
Italians come to rob Britain in 1980.
"Sorry, there's nothing left worth stealing"
Greatest car chase ever! Next to the car chase scene in The Blues Brothers
Hmmm... must be the only two car-chase scenes you've watched? 😂
lol, at least two OG car-chases 😁👍@@donarthiazi2443
@@NilocAuron It's an epic film, one of my favourites. The car chase scene in Ronin is pretty amazing too.
The greatest car chases because there's no CGI in this movie, not even the traffic jam in Turin Its all real!
Brilliant film and great actors
Absolute masterpiece!
Not akording to jefferey kitch
This is definitely a British film. ❤
Coventrians love this movie, guess where the Sewer getaway was filmed.
This movie has the greatest ending of all time ❤❤❤
A song written by the great (American) musician and producer, Quincy Jones.
Who knew!
and Don Black !
Yeah he even composed On Days like These which makes this movie unbelievably iconic.
Quincy Jones,
Mr Talento.
yep got myself a classic mini because of this ! forever in love !
Shall be playing this film before the match on Sunday before Euro final
I saw the Movie in 1969 when I was in the Army. Liked the movie, except the part where they destroy those two Beautiful English Jaguar XKE's. They were my favorite cars along with the Ferrari's.
When film-makers want to show destruction of an expensive car, they'll often get hold of a written-off specimen that can never again be roadworthy, and patch it up so that it looks the real deal but isn't actually worth tuppence.
I remember this movie from 9 or 10 years from when i last watched it
I was very young and i only remember the ending but the song always stuck with me
This is a self isolation society 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Wayne Green 😂😂
New theme song for covid 19😁
😂😂😂😂
Hahahahahahhahahahaaaaaaaa
😂😂😂😂
'Ang on a minute lads; I've got a great idea! Uh...
This is so cool! ^^ It's so funny when the chasing Alfa Romeo Giulia TI police car carks it in the reservoir water 😂
These guys should have done the BREXIT JOB !
ang on a sec did Michal Cane sing "got to get a moolin bloom on!" !!!??
HERE WE GO AGAIN BOYS AND GIRLS!
I love this film.
Best of British! Old school!!
How many times is this gonna get played now it's England v Italy in the Euro 2020 final? :P
Just got an "Italian Job" t-shirt to wear for the game
Just finished the movie 5 mins ago, such a great movie
very true
I awoke this morning with this song in my head. Strange because I haven’t seen this movie in years. I first wanted to watch it because I own 2 Mini Coopers. The Minis are the stars of this movie! ❤
Thanks Whomever Uploaded, cracking Job. Appreciated.
Totally fantastic film ...
Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off
When times were good in England 🏴
🕌 ☹️
The most British film ever made and its made in 1969
0:05 That’s Bach’s Invention No. 8, except it’s being played in E major rather than F major.
Amazing! Thanks for this comment. I learned something new today. 🙂
Mini and Giulia Alfa,Romeo: 2 myths like the movie!
The prison interior was filmed in Kilmainham Goal and featured a young Frank Kelly of Father Ted fame
When you think of it, several of the scenes are evocative of the world we now inhabit. Take what you will -- even injure what you will -- 'cause you deserve it. Just sayin'.
Superb!!! Thanks
I hadn't heard this song for 43 years'/!!!
The rent needs paying and I am skint.
What should I do for my next job? Italy looks nice this time of year. lol
Splendid film 👌
Total classic film better than the re make
Hater
They both are good in their own different ways. I liked that the US version didn't just do a boring scene-for-scene remake of the exact same film. No way they could've pulled off a British comedy.
And yeah, I also liked this one a little bit more, but no reason to make it which is better... just my opinion.
Love it.
Benny Hill was in the movie, but should have a slightly bigger role even though he was hilarious role as it was
Notta lotta people know that the soundtrack - including this song (!) - were composed by a certain Quincy Jones.
& Don Black!
This is what played in my head when Jericho & Hager turned heel on Dynamite and forming the Jericho Appreciation Society
A masterpiece
Right at the start the van is blown up at Crystal Palace Park, London and at 0:10 behind Michael Standing and Michael Caine is the TV mast that, to this day provides TV signals to London and much of south-east England.
this film is so life-affirming not like the boring american remake
It wasnt a remake, I hope
Love this film❤
Great film, lots in it.
The most fan bloody tastic thing on the I internet.
'ang on a minute lads. I've got a great idea.
Loved it would like more MINI action thogh
This is so FUNNY LOL 🤣
Such a good film. I'm just searching through clips to try and see if this film is the origin of the phrase *Blimey Charlie!*
Come on lads, don’t be Lardy Dahs- put on your Peckham rye, your daisy roots and whistle & flute- leave the trouble & strife behind, pop down the rub a dub. & Hold on, cos I got a great idea!
I haven't seen this movie in years.
Great film
Self preservation is not a joke, when being attacked by designer dog's.
The music is called "Get a Bloomin' Move On" not the Self Preservation Society. Common mistake...
My left ear loved this
Well it's England vs Italy for the 2021 Euro Cup!
Big...BIG!
Funny As 😂🎉 Excellent Tops 😂 Winner😊
Oh gawd struth!
❤
they should do a remake (with the same cars) the 2003 one was not a patch on the original
❤Everything
Everything......(Let's have it....and let's have it lively).
Always wonder what happened next with ending of Italian job
That’s why the ending is so genius, you get to imagine your own ending
@@popflicktionedits3256 still think they should have made a follow up if the ending of the original Italian job told thru Michael Caine character 20 years or more in a jail but we don't know that till the end or something. I was a good cliffhanger but felt unsatisfied as I had so many unanswered questions from it ?
It could only have been Noel Coward!
❤❤❤
Nostalgia Incarnate
This film was so much better
Than the American crap
Come'on England!!
BRIDGER !!!!!!!RULE BRITTANIA 😁😁😁😁😅😅😅😅STUFF THE REST !!!!!GENIUS g
Everything lol
If you're wondering what the American remake is like, it's shite! There is only *ONE* Italian Job!
Overated movie Monty Python was better
Those bloody, bloody Brits'/!!!
Come on England it's coming home ⚽️🏴
This hasn't aged well
The blonde dude looks like Jimmy Saville.
CLAP FOR BORIS
RULE BRITTANIA !!!!!😂g
Why would I want to buy or rent this movie from UA-cam, there are several copies of the Italian job including that awful remake going for £1.00 each in the PDSA charity shop
Oh that remake was diabolical it shouldnt even be called a remake the creators only saw the Italian job once
Chaps? I got an Idea ..why not "The Welsh Cake Appreciation Society" ! ... sing it lads and taste it! x
L unico film dove l alfa romeo giulia rinuncia per gioco alla sua supremazia stradale
