Not that much. It's hard to do that even if you are big and strong. Serbia is a small country, surrounded by NATO, with a pending war looming on the south. Still, we haven't been scared of the west even when they were the strongest, let alone now. Global liberation is on the way, the world is sick of this current state of affairs. Global South is on the rise!

@draganstankovic2438 You are truly delusional if you think we will go to war over Kosovo any time soon. Our economy is in expansion while our neighbors are struggling. The war is looming in Europe which will only further weaken our enemies. There will not be any war in Kosovo, not until the geopolitical situation changes and NATO disintegrates - so decades. And even then no war will be necessary if there is no one from the west to defend it.

15:05 time stamp - pretty sure if Gibraltar had a vote they’d cite to remain in U.K. because they have it good and far better than most of UK. They get loads spent on them. They get free flights to hospitals in UK etc. and they pay very low taxes. If they became part of Spain they would be treated like ordinary Spanish and pay ordinary Spanish taxes. It would need to be a vote between UK&normal taxes or Spain&normal taxes. Then you might see a debate, although they do still get treated much better than us here in London so I’m not clear who would win that vote. Remain part of UK and be a Tax Haven is an easy choice though.

If it is legal to "freeze" Russia's assets, then one could "legally" use derivatives to loot it. Offer everyone who holds the same asset kinds as the frozen Russian one's free insurance against whatever measure they then take to crash its value. Like a 100% tax rate. The UK has freedom of movement with Ireland (the conmon travel area) since before the EU existed.
This works OK in practice, but causes legal and political fireworks. For example, people in the UK have free movement to Ireland, but Ireland can't repatriate refugees here, because we are not a safe country according to the ECHR, as we might send them to Rwanda.

Greek. They were no slavs back then. Modern N. Macedonia is a slavic nation. So if you want to bring antiquity into the conversation, try to educate yourself first.
Modern N. Macedonia is mostly modern Slavic, Bulgarian and Albanian population. It is a joke state that exists only to accommodate US and NATO interests in the area, and especially the suppression of Serbia, and isolate Serbia until it collapses and the entire Balkan peninsular goes under US control.

That's because that's what they were when they were first introduced in the area nearly 1000 years after Macedonia.
Today's Balkan toilet consists of Serbs, Albanians, Bulgarians and gypsies and they all have a rightful claim on it.

Your views on N. Macedonia's name and local politics are driven mostly by feelings and complete ignorance, so they are irrelevant.
However, you do deserve a droplet of information:
The first president of that funny little state, Kiro Gligorov, publicly stated that they don't have any relevance to antiquity. Since then they signed an international agreement to respect the sovereignty of Greece's northern province (Macedonia - imagine they couldn't even use Vardarska as a name for their country and they preferred a Greek one). That happened just a few years back, and now somehow they found links to antiquity, because you know, if you don't have a history, you should make one up.
Now they don't like the agreement they signed with US backing and Greek acceptance.
And if they have evolved into a new cultural entity as you say, we should accept that they're not N. Macedonians, but Albanians and Bulgarians. They both have a rightful claim on this country.
But it's okay. I too think that the international agreements signed to determine international borders are invalid at will, and Russia has a legitimate claim on Scandinavia. Let's hope the Russians will save it before it transforms into an islamic republic.

Overall; I don’t think you put the overall context of the EU in its history. It was a neo-colonial project that initially included French bits of north west Africa. Then we had Algerian etc. independence wars and it shrank to Europe but French/EU neocolonialism is shrinking in power with more Russian and Chinese African projects. At the time of Brexit I supported Remain but with the Ukraine warmongery it took its so
diminished and sick, but recoverable, body and shot it in the head. Now I don’t think I’d support remaining in the EU and it’s always been a play thing of the big countries (now Germany and France, with a bit of Italy and Spain) and not small countries: sooner or later the lack of representation of small countries will come back to bite it and they will regret the design of the EU. It might get replaced like the League of Nations was by the United Nations, but this particular institution is dead and decomposing.

Great analysis on North Macedonia! They were renamed as North Macedonia after a referendum. The question of the referendum stated something close to: "Do you agree to join NATO and EU with the change of the name of the country to North Macedonia?" As you could imagine this implies that they would DEFINITELY JOIN EU AND NATO had they changed their country's name. After they voted for it they joined NATO as the Greeks were satisfied and Bulgarians didn't mind. The fun fact is that the population of North Macedonia is predominantly Bulgarian and Albanian. The problem is that this teritorry was annexed by Serbia after the Second Balkan War and kept after WWI. For that period the Serbs massacred thousands of Bulgarians. In WWII whilst allies of Nazi Germany Bulgaria was allowed to re-occupy it's former territories not only of todays North Macedonia, but the Greek part of Macedonia itself. After the war was lost the Serbs literally created the Macedonian nation that never existed before by a bunch of historical lies and brainwashed the population to such an extent that they started believeing that they are descendents of Alexander the Great. For 80 years they were brainwashed that Bulgaria is the enemy, a fashist occupator, etc, etc. As a direct result there was a hate speech in all history books of this country against Bulgaria, repressions against Macedonians that realised that they are actually Bulgarians which included beatings and stabbings. That lead the Bulgarian politicians despite being extremely subserviant to EU to not wanna take it anymore and require several points that North Macedonia should follow in order to become a member state. They were: 1) Stop the hatred towards Bulgarians; 2) Rewright your history books in order to be adequate; 3) Acknowledge the Bulgarians as an ethnic minority in North Macedonia. Due to pressure from the EU as they desperately wanted to get N. Macedonia in, the Bulgarians made a compromise and agreed with EU that the Macedonians should just include point 3. In other words include the Bulgarians in their Constitution. And, yet this guys are still unhappy of that.
To summarize, when Macedonians voted for "Do you agree to join NATO and EU with the change of the name of the country to North Macedonia?" they thought that once changing the name of their country was a foregone conclussion. Now they are mad that this did not bring them in EU and they want to revision not only Bulgarian compromise demands for Bulgarians in their Constitution , but even the name of their country. That is the reason why this party won big time. The problem is that although Bulgaria has zero lobby in EU and USA, Greece has a huge lobby everywhere and the Westerners will do what the Greeks tell them to do. It's a rather unfortunate event for North Macedonians.

"North Macedonia" is inhabited by Slavs with Bulgarian ancestry. Their state has a certain geographical overlap with the lands of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedonia. They have no actual ancient Macedonian heritage, neither genetic nor cultural, although they love to claim that heritage as their own.
The Greek province of Macedonia on the other hand, includes almost the entire geographic region of that ancient kingdom including its citadel and is inhabited by Greeks, with actual ancient Macedonian heritage.
Calling the province of Macedonia as "South Macedonia" can be very easily misinterpreted to suggest that Greeks and "North Macedonians" share any common ancestry, at all or have any kind of cultural ties of the sort that Western Russians and Eastern Ukrainians do. Or Germans and Austrians etc.
The reason they want to name their coountry "Macedonia" so psychotically is the legitimization of their bogus claims over that heritage. Please, keep that in mind so as to not unintentionally award any legitimacy to their claims. That's precisely what they're aiming for.
