I got the direction plus can and preline kit that mounts up front, if your getting cold weather it's good to drain often as it seems to build a bit of condensation in the drain line. Although yours might get less as it's closer to the motor. Yours definately has better/easier installation though. Spring clips drove me nuts.
Another great video mate, I've already fitted same catch can along with pre fuel filter from WesternFilters, long range tank, grunt tailgate assist, tjm snorkel and waiting for off-road animal bullbar. More to come.
Great stuff mate! getting one put in soon, just did the rhino roof racks with the back bone on mine looks mint, they just released them. I recommended it 👍

Nice one, I already did mine but good to see I got it right ;). I installed the drain hose to the filter first though. Also where you installed the clamp for the hose be careful there is a brake line on the other side you don't want to screw into :). When are you doing the fuel filter??
hey mate, noticed you said you previously had a jeep. what jeep did you have if you don’t mind me asking? and how does it compare to the dmax? cheers, Lachie
Yep sure did, checkout the channel for the full walk around vid I did for the sale (and for me to look back on to be honest 🥲) Can't really compare, the Jeep (Turbo diesel JK) was a totally different build, super capable off-road, not really a daily. DMax is much much more refined, much better engine, much more comfy etc. My Jeep was a rock crawl type build, jeep is a super comfy tourer/tow vehicle is kinda how I see it
@@VideoShowMeHow thanks for your reply mate. I’m coming out of a 3.8L Wrangler and into an X-Terrain but am still pretty uncertain. Yeah mate still miss my rig, but the dmax is a whole different world. Zero regrets. Hello Adam . A mate has just installed a Provent 200 kit into his 2022 D Max . The position is different as it is mounted in front of the battery and beside the radiator. Is this an option or just maybe another company/branded kit ? Ta . Enjoyed your video by the way .
Hey Adam I've got a new Dmax coming in a couple of weeks. I've already ordered a few things for it, one being a catch can. I've just recently seen a vid on youtube about the possibility that it can cause a pressure build up in the crankcase and start to leak oil out the rear main seal. The vid i seen, the filter was only about 10k into its 40k life. Was just wondering if you've had any issues with your catch can? Cheers Chris
No issues at all. I do know there's some fake units out there without the pressure relief valves. So far so good for me, ran one for years on my JK crd not issues either.

Hey mate, easy save of $350! You can total do yourself. Tyres are Maxxis Razr AT-811 - an agressive all terrain tyre. They're 285/65/18. Mate, me too! I miss that beast 😥
Alot of mixed reviews on dmax + catch cans alot of people saying it causes gasket leaks due to high pressures being restricted with the can
A genuine provent has pressure relief built in. As with anything, needs to be maintained to work, eg emptying every 5k or so,
Awesome Vid mate🤙just intalled one on ma Dmax while its still new. Would you reccomend changing the intercooler piping from rubber to hard piping?
Nah no real need, maybe down the track as the factory ones age etc unless you're keen for a bit of bling
