Btw Isaiah (the actual victim in this story) at the time had the mental capacity of a 10 year old. And this wasn't a lone incident this was going on for years. I believe Miller was 14 at the time and the drafting age for an NHL player is 18 but we can't judge him for what he did... 4 years prior to being drafted... I'm sure he matured in between then (He did not). And like many bullies, he wasn't doing it himself, there was a group. Thank you! I normally like Bill but that statement was stupid! Clearly there is an over reliance on police and the some of the budget could be used on other social services that can deal better with certain situations than the police. Or, when they have nothing they don't understand why someone won't give them something. If they had it, they would give it away. The only thing stopping them from being great people is having nothing to give.

Hi Marie,
I feel it's very appropriate that you used "So Delicious" in your wording because if Bill the idiot that he is did even a bit of digging into the Coyotes Miller story you'd see that it wasn't just a bit of bullying. Miller pissed on a candy, dipped it in a urinal and made the kid lick it.
He had to go to get tested for HIV, Hepatitis, and other diseases.
It also wasn't "just" some bullying, it went on for YEARS.
But unlike the psycho that Mitchell Miller is, the others actually apologized to Isaiah in person. Mitchell has yet to btw. He has done it on instagram, and through a letter that he was forced to write that the judge in the case stated didn't appear to show any genuine remorse .
The only person "Lost" here is Bill because he knows jack about the issue. Like many of these edgy TV idiots, they'll read the headline and try to make a narrative around it without actually going to details of the case.
As a former liberal, I agree with Bill's assessment of current liberal "values". Excellent piece, Bill. You've done several similar bits, but this was the best laid out and most comprehensive.

Say what you mean, so you can mean what you say.
Thank you! I normally like Bill but that statement was stupid! Clearly there is an over reliance on police and the some of the budget could be used on other social services that can deal better with certain situations than the police.
It is actually a very nuanced idea put into a very abbreviated slogan which obviously fox and friends misuse to create fear about no police... and now so does bill...
If you can’t bring forward new ideas like this then the democrats would just be another Republican Party... and lastly as far as slogans go I think the republicans have it won... “BUILD A WALL” “LOCK HER UP”....

Lets now imagine that a team of economists through extensive research and peer review claimed that a truly fair tax rate would actually be about 17 percent. My God man, what do you like about Joe? The sexy way he sniffs children's hair or his hilarious inability to speak?
It's called communism. That's what happened
7:15 Listening to Sullivan's Dishcast. He just quoted Bill Maher (who probably quoted an earlier article by Sullivan himself). "Your side thinks 'Silence is violence' and looting is not". Brilliantly put, Bill.
I'm mexican and this is the first time I've heard the word latinx lol.
Media and Liberals like Maher will always make us think things are worse than they are. Like you, I never heard of that word.
I have, trust me its a thing and its fucking stupid. This entire segment was brilliant
It's stupid. Ignore it
I have been hearing this term for over a year almost every day. I am in San Francisco and listen to public radio, so that might explain it. It represents an idea that deserves to be smothered at bedtime, or anytime. Apparently, someone who was just learning about Spanish decided that a fundamental structural element of Spanish was offensive and determined to not allow it to contaminate Anglo-Newspeak.

that crowd got hit with some truth bombs they were not prepared to hear
Agreed. I’m not American but what he said about them not having commons sense is exactly the thing....they say and do things that are so unintelligent it’s absolutely stunning. As a kid of the 80’s and 90’s, all aspects of life seemed more pleasant and people weren’t trying to darken every aspect of human experience. We weren’t the most aware, but things were way more chill.
Exactly on target.
Told you they wouldn't stop. Now they are going after people for what they did as kids.
Update, they just went after another person for comments they made as a 17y.
From your lips to the Dems' ears, Bill. Every imagined slight can't be a reason for shaming. Little wonder the Trumpsters call us snowflakes.
Yep. And many people on the left seem to think most of us on the right are avowed qanon members denying science. What Bill misses is that Trump voters liked Trump for what he did, not who he was. Good luck the next 4 years
I totally agree with you. But in all honesty who are the snowflakes now ? They can’t even accept that a majority of the country rejected their supreme leader. 😊
@@vidabella4458 I said we lost after the results came in. But I know what you mean
@@gregmccauley1687 "Trump voters liked Trump for what he did, not who he was" You mean like embracing Qanon and denying science?

100% still relevant
ok, this is a pretty solid message. thanks Bill, if they listen to you, I might be able to support Dems again.
I don't hate you or think you're a terrible American for not voting Dems. But out of curiosity, is there any Democratic lawmaker/politician that you do like (from anywhere in the country) for whom you'd consider voting? My question is, what *kind* of Dem would you consider voting for?
@@sw9618 For me Andrew Yang. Center left..

"People who think that silence is violence and looting is not." 👏👏👏👏 Exactly!!!
Looters don't identify themselves and people who think silence is permission tend to be abusers and even rapists! This is fun! You next!
The vast majority of protesters aren’t looting, crackhead.
See, there are crackheads in the world. Not many. But I’ll just assume you’re one since that’s how you like to do math.
Acceptance of authoritarian rule has done infinitely more harm than any dozen hoodlums with a brick ever did. You know MLK caused violence, right? It was necessary. Polite protest is no protest at all.
Yeah, he's made a great point there. The apologists will make their excuses for ruining innocent people's livelihoods, but most sane people can see through their crap
@Ronald Turner The looting is usually done by business owners and neo-nazis to take attention off of the catalyst of the protests.
Perfect example of why Voters overall rejected Democrats: "Silence is violence but looting is not."
Please, name the Democratic party official who said that quote.
@mtrujillo1973
Flipped the senate? No
Flipped state legislatures? No
Lost seats in the house? Yes
And that's from a 'moderate'. Run Aoc or ilhan omar for president in 2024, let's see who's right.
@@fiberjack645 The candidates who lost seats were moderates.... just saying
@@codzboy74 Indeed, but why is that? Peterson was voted out because of the growing conservative population in his area, so a woke politician would've been worse.
Same with most of the flipped seats, many of the local population were favorable to republicans, as it is the case with Cunningham, Torres small, etc.
If you think the radical left can swing those places, go ahead.
@mtrujillo1973 Seriously? Did you not watch the video? Voters rejecting Trump is not the same as voters choosing Democrats. I'm sorry if that is a complicated thought process for you.
Now I understand how I have been feeling about the democratic party. I have felt that the democrats have become everything that I hated about the republican party
It's worse actually. The religious right is at least consistent in their beliefs. The woke change on a dime and get angry that you weren't aware about it
When people have nothing, they nitpick things others do to make themselves feel better. I think that's a huge part of Twitter's problem.
And late night show hosts .
You're right that some people nitpick to make themselves feel better. But your reason is wrong. If you look at twitter, it's usually rich and/or suburban people nitpicking.
They have "everything" so to speak, so they need to find problems to solve. Poor people, like in third world countries, who have "nothing" don't nitpick on twitter because they don't have the luxury to. Instead, they have real problems.
Or, when they have nothing they don't understand why someone won't give them something. If they had it, they would give it away. The only thing stopping them from being great people is having nothing to give.
Truth.
The huge part of the problem is not Twitter itself....
It is that a lot of users are actual Twits!
Can't censor stupid.
I actually love how Maher is making a point, while telling jokes, and the Woke SJW Karens in the audience don't know if they should Clap, Laugh, or Boo.
There are very few people in the audience due to COVID. And SJW and Karens are the complete opposite type of people.

That reminds me of when Bill Maher did a European tour a few years ago. First he joked about Christians, and the audience roared with laughter. Then he joked about Islam, and the audience was quiet as a tomb. Then he joked about Republicans, and the audience again roared with laughter.

Definitely. The fundamental problem with woke SJW liberals is they claim to be against racism, yet are often overtly racist to groups who they deem to be oppressors on account of sins committed centuries before they were born. Funny how people these days identifies themselves by the things that offends them rather than by goals, dreams and positive actions.

You mean like how trump supporters find anyone on the left offensive or how anyone on the left finds Trumpers offensive? Other than that, are politicians actually running campaigns on "being offended by things"? I'd like to know who these politicians are?

I like Bill Maher and rarely agree with him, but he hit the nail on the head.
And let us guess, you voted for Trump. And twice.
Except for the part that democracy was threatened by Trump. Now I voted, reluctantly, for Hilary and I never thought once that Trump would be or considered a fascist dictator. I believe a lot of people including myself were just tired of hearing that about him which pushed me to vote Republican for the first time. Amongst other things that he spoke about here. I agree 100%. A perfect example is that none of the rich white do-good leftists ever talk to the people they are supposedly championing for. It has nothing to do with helping those in need and everything to do with self-gratification and attention-seeking.
Have you seen Harris' "Equity not equality" cartoon? Her goal is equal outcomes, not equal opportunity. California is trying hard to achieve equity in K-12 schools. The result: There is little desire to get students to perform above grade level.
Wait, so tweeting #BLM doesn't actually result in a livable wage?!?!?!
Yea those performances are by the liberals and moderates when its convenient.
