Oh FFS guys! Stop "offing" everything! It is an unnecessary affectation that drives people nuts. It is also a waste of breath. Love you all. Kush kicks butt! Seriously though the "offing" of everything is just stupid. You bake a thing, you fry a thing, you stew a fraking thing...none require an off.😂😢😂😢😂😢
Let's do a slow cooker pass it on. Baz, Mike, Jamie and Kush, each get 10 minutes to add to a pot or pan in that order. The pot will then simmer or braise for 4 hours. Ben has to plate whatever is in the pot and can only add final touches and a quick bread if desired.
This, but their times are only at the beginning of each of the first 10 minutes of each hour. So one person can mess with stuff for 10 minutes, then it slow cooks for an hour. Then the next comes in, gets 10 minutes, and then another hour and so on.
I dont think it would work this way because the chef at the end would just remove what doesnt fit into a slow cooker since most will go in raw and have a dish thats practically their own choice with whatever the previous guys prepared. What this needs is forced choices and double trouble: - Each chef gets to prepare ingredients for the slow cooker, once their time is up they put the things out in a bowl and cover it. - The next chef gets in, takes whatever he wants from the previous chef and prepares their own ingredients repeating the above process but at the end they must have anr item from the previous chef to use. - At the end this chef now once again has several bowls prepared where one must be used at the end. - When we reach the end point the last chef is left to put it together with the slow cooker. - At any point ONCE only they can choose to discard one bowl of ingredients to force down a path. - For a twist the moment someone gets to have their second turn they can choose to WITHOUT altering anything put the things into the cooker and turn it on. - Ben has to plate up whatever comes out of the pot. He has 10 minutes to make it look edible.
This videos show off their different approaches very well. Ben: What can we make that's elevated from what Mike would usually make, so he can take inspiration from it? Kush: What is the most outrageous thing I can do with these ingredients?
Kush treating the Monster the same way Jamie treats anything meaty and ready to eat: not necessarily a part of the dish, bur definitely great for the chef!

I used to work in a factory canteen and soup of the day was usually yesterdays left over main course. Lasagne on Monday, Italian beef and tomato soup on Tuesday. Fish pie on Tuesday, American Chowder on Wednesday. There's very little you can't make into soup with the right blender.

Why do I feel like Mike's fridge will be the most 'normal' of the 3 normals? Barry's is pretentious and Jamie's is all about the meat.
