The hugest plot hole in RE was that in the 2nd movie, Dr. Ashford made the T-Virus for his daughter. Now, suddenly, Dr. Marcus made it. Anderson should of checked his notes.
And the messed up part of the RE movies is that all 7 where written and directed by ONE guy, yet that one guy can’t seem to keep his own continuity straight even from film to film. Hell, in The Final Chapter, the Red Queen reveals she was programmed to never harm human life (because Anderson decided she’s all of sudden a good guy, since she was played by his and Milla Jovovich’s daughter), but the first scene of the first movie sees her slaughter an entire lab.
Ras choose his own fate Batman was the one who actually threw Joker over the ledge so it would be directly his fault. Where Ras was on a suicide mission and Batman let him take it he just blew the bridge out so he didn't make it to Wayne tower.
Even in the movie the Time Turner solution is explained away... because it's a paradox machine, not a time changing machine. You either observe the past, or were ALWAYS responsible for the events that happened. The best case use is being on more than one place at once, as the intended use of Hermione. The worst case is along the lines of realising you had to be the petronis, or you somehow helped the big bad kill your parents even though you tried to stop them by going back in time.

In regards to the avengers (or other groups) it is interesting how they tend to do stuff constantly in the US, or issues “tend” to only happen in the US.
Time travel destroys any tension from that point on 9 times out of 10. It causes you to think "well if they fail they'll just go back in time and fix it"
Just to clear that Resident Evil plot hole. It's inferred that Alice doesn't remember anything before the hive (as in working as chief of security), not before waking in the shower. Therefore, no plot hole.

I totally agree with Cinefix regarding Alien. The franchise mythos is out of control, and they need to clean it up. But how could no one mention how the Transformers backstory keeps changing itself with each movie?
Another huge plot hole in the Resident Evil series is how in Extinction we're being told the entire earth is withering away with lakes drying up and entire continents turning into desserts, basically dooming the rest of the franchise as a poor mans Mad Max with zombies in it. Then, however, in THE NEXT bloody installment it's all completely forgotten about. Paul W.S. Andersons complete disregard of continuity is actually stunning.
Batman never says his rule is "not to kill". He very specifically says "I won't become a murderer". Your argument that he crosses this line is poor and outright contradictory at times. For instance, your own thesis on his actions in the first movie being an "open and shut case of manslaughter" destroys your argument. Manslaughter - by definition - means "the crime of killing a human being without malice aforethought, or otherwise in circumstances not amounting to murder." Thus, even if we take his actions to amounting to manslaughter (which I don't believe, but we will play with your version), he still isn't a murderer and still hasn't violated his rule.
If they used Burton's Batman for the no Killing rule it would make more sense since we saw him throw a henchmen down the clocktower and even push a clown down the sewers with a bomb in Batman Returns. It still wouldn't work too well because that Batman is not as clearly against killing. Nolan's Batman is against executing criminals.
The Indiana Jones one is not a plot hole. The fact that ark might, maybe, have killed Hitler in 1938 in no way contradicts anything established anywhere else in the series.
You didn't actually watch Rocky Balboa did you Jules?????? Because if you DID, you would know that Rocky's brain damage still holds up, as NONE of the doctors he goes to see are willing to sign off on letting him box. Even his son AND Paulie try to talk him out of it. But as with someone who suffers from brain damage he refuses to listen, saying that he's NOT DONE yet. That he still has "things in the basement" that he needs to get rid of. Now, I don't remember what stupid reason the movie gives for finally letting Rocky get certified in the end, but this is NOT a plot hole. Rocky's mental state is the reason Why everyone tells him no. Kinda fills the "plot hole" you see doesn't it??
The biggest plot-hole in the X-Men franchise went unmentioned: in X-Men Apocalypse, the movie established that Jean Grey already had the Phoenix energy inside her, and Xavier released her "mental control" in order to destroy Apocalypse. Then the following movie completely forgets about this, and Jean absorbs the Phoenix from a big nebula in space.

Yeah, my headcanon always just assumed the other Avengers were busy Avenging some other problem. 8 billion people on Earth, in a world full of super people - world's gonna have a lot of smaller problems that need solving.
Omar Reyes yes, ALL of reality was falling apart. I assumed that most of the Avengers were scattered across the world, trying to deal with the effects of the cosmic shitstorm going down everywhere at once.
You're confusing plot holes with things that aren't explained, believe it or not there's actually a difference, the films lack of explanation on the limitations of the time turner isn't a plot hole at all
We don't mind it in the MCU because it's not a plot hole. None of the members of the MCU are psychic. It would be weird if they showed up every single time one of the others got into a thing just randomly. Like how the hell did they know they would be needed. The only way for them to get backup is if they called for backup like if Tony was like "oh shit this Mandarin thing hey Thor wanna give me a hand?" But they are all superheros in their own right dealing with threats that are well within their capabilities would be like a cop calling for backup every single time he pulled someone over. Usually the only part that would even make sense for backup is the final climactic battle which is rarely laid out so that they can schedule an appointment for it.
In Jurassic Park: The Lost World, the big game hunter explains that everyone is safe for the moment because the t-rex's just fed, and predators don't hunt when they aren't hungry... a fact which the first JP and every one since have completely ignored.
There's a bigger Rocky inconsistency. The first movie makes it clear that Rocky has no business being in the ring with Apollo, and NO chance of actually winning the fight. It's all about Rocky's internal battle, can he "go the distance." From 2 on, he's treated as a legitimate heavyweight champion
MCU plot hole not really a plot hole could be simply down to other hero are busy dealing with other threats Like Ironman 3 Thor is deal threats in Asgard and dark elf and Captain America dealing with Hydra in Shield No Thor in Spider-Man homecoming is because he’s search for the infinity stone
The wrap up about "stronger together was better than anything else I have seen out of this channel in... forever! Like a lot better... Like 1000 times... several million... multiplied by a few billion trillions, to the n-th power. Good on ya!
Crabomax • this is how I look at it. It’s easier. Lol. if they actually established this, then it would be great. DOFP merged the prequel and original films. Then Wolverine films were set post X3 (except Origins).

When they went back in time, Harry realized that he was the one that saved himself when the dementor shows up, so it tells you that time travel in HP doesn't change the past, it just helps events unfold how they are supposed to happen *if I remember right

"Don't care. Make it happen. And more explosions."
For the millionth time, Batman's rule isn't that he won't kill, but that he won't become an executioner. He will kill in battle when he must (Harvey Dent, countless henchmen), but he will always attempt to capture the villain and take them to police when he can.
I believe, in the comics, there are a number of instances where Batman kills. It's inevitable when fighting supervillains with henchmen.
The whole Han / Shaw debacle leaves me waking up in my own sweat, screaming, to this day.
Hey so Han returning was 100 percent accurate according to the new trailer
Why would Captain Marvel stick around on earth after Thanos was killed at the start of endgame? She’s cosmically powerful and earth has everyone that was still left to look over it.
Her comment that “other planets need her” is absolutely true.
And when earth needs her again when Thanos comes forward in time? Bam. She heads back and helps.
Soooo, yeah.
Exactly!
Raiders of the Lost Ark took place 3 years before WW2 started. That’s hardly a plot hole and there are too many variables in play to know if giving Hitler the ark would’ve gotten the desired result.
How could he ever even believed in the ark in the first place.
Garbage Day!
raiders takes place in 1936. right after germany hosts the olympics. there is no axis, there is no war
alas he hated germans and killed them unpunished, also muslims, indians, chinese and others, at least the cold war was already on during Crystal Skull.
How did you miss that Rocky's son aged like 6-7 years between Rocky 4 and 5 even though the fifth movie begins exactly after he comes back from Russia?
Mihail Tsvetkov I think it was simply down to nepotism. Stallone wanted to cast his real life son Sage in the role...and didn’t care about continuity
They tried to use the same people for each movie.
Rocky stole some of Drago's Soviet super-steroids and gave them to his son. ;-P
Hermione and Harry both totally change the past too. Hermione throws a rock to distract someone and Harry summons the Patronus to save Sirius and his past self. So much for being limited to observation.
Hermione's howl also distracted Lupin when he turned
They didn't change anything, because by the time they went back, they had already gone back. Hermione had always hit Harry with a rock, they had always saved Buckbeak and Sirius, and Harry had always cast the Patronus.
Rowynne Crowley yes. To quote (okay, more likely paraphrase) the book, "I was able to cast the Patronus, because I knew I already had".

Why do people act like superheroes don’t have their own adventures in comics. They wouldn’t be very super if they needed their friends for every fight.

Batman not saving Ras but saving Joker is weird.
Ras choose his own fate Batman was the one who actually threw Joker over the ledge so it would be directly his fault. Where Ras was on a suicide mission and Batman let him take it he just blew the bridge out so he didn't make it to Wayne tower.
Not really, he directly thrown Joker of the roof what is completely different to just letting Ra's die.
in '89 NES game Bats actually threw Mr J of the cathedral. No grabbing the ledge, no bolas, no gargoyle, he just shoved him into oblivion.

Two different batman's we're talking Bale batman here
Any Godzilla movie, because the true fans don't care unless they see monsters fight. Long Live The King, other than Jules.
Tokyo is ok
I think we really need to get on the same page as to the definition of plot hole.
Finally a video highlighting that Batman did indeed kill people in the Dark Knight Trilogy.
He killed people in Tim Burton’s films as well. Makes we wonder why legit so up in arms about it in the Snyderverse.
Stuart Bagley and in the comics. I think it has to do with Bat-fans hating Snyder the most moreso than anything else, and this is a fandom that's had to suffer through Joel MOTHERFUCKING Schumacher.
@@stuartbagley2586 tim burton he tries to save the joker. Harvey's dent was the main reason he gave up being batman in the nolan era that and Rachel. He blowing up whole buildings and batman vs superman was unnecessary. Even the plot for them to fight made no sense. Snyder only response to fans that dislike his batman was "grow up you babies. I want realistic batman. Blah blah. Martha moments."
@@Shadothecat "He blowing up buildings" Lmao you're conveniently forgetting how he burned down an entire building full of people and most likely also killed the man he was trying NOT to kill, and left a man to die in an exploding train by the end of the first movie. In fact, in every movie of the trilogy he killed people. The difference between him and Snyderverse Batman is that the second one doesn't keep bringing up "I have only one rule" and then throwing people off of buildings and killing them by crashing their vehicles lol

I feel like the MCU solved that plot hole slightly in Far From Home with the whole “avengers level threat” remark.
Jules I just wanted to say thank you because I was going through a tough time and I was having a lot of stress as well as anxiety at work and even at home. X-Men and convoluted timelines are tied together since Days of Future Past in the Uncanny X-Men.
To be clear: Hobbs had no attachment to Han so....
Christopher Davidson in FF8 the whole family worked with shaw not just Hobbs
khanya Mbeki yeah but they made it pretty clear when he meets them all for the first time that he isn't welcome, but had to work together to stop a cyber terrorist. It was only after he saved Dom's son that he was allowed in.

I totally agree with Cinefix regarding Alien. The franchise mythos is out of control, and they need to clean it up. But how could no one mention how the Transformers backstory keeps changing itself with each movie?
Actually Rocky reties at the beginning of Rocky 5 not at the end
I can overlook the X-Men timeline cos I love McAvoy and Fassbender in those roles!
this whole franchise turned into the adventures of these two after Paul for some reason 🤦🏽♂️🤷♂️
9:09 "pigs-arse prequel"
Yeah I know its Pixar, but that's not what I heard
I pretty sure Shaw saving Dom's son was redemption for killing Han. At least as far as the team is concerned.
None of these franchises have anything on Highlander
Again, Jules with some awesome advice at the end of the video! :)
The Indiana Jones one is not a plot hole. The fact that ark might, maybe, have killed Hitler in 1938 in no way contradicts anything established anywhere else in the series.
There will be no badmouthing of Raiders of the Lost Ark, that's blasphemy.
You mean the movie that almost 400 million in 1981, was nominated for 8 Academy Awards and is in the Library of Congress? Yeah that one.
HE KILLED HAN AND I CARE
He died twice already, he'll be back, Han might be like Kenny
The biggest plot-hole in the X-Men franchise went unmentioned: in X-Men Apocalypse, the movie established that Jean Grey already had the Phoenix energy inside her, and Xavier released her "mental control" in order to destroy Apocalypse. Then the following movie completely forgets about this, and Jean absorbs the Phoenix from a big nebula in space.
Avengers assemble when it’s a global or cosmic conflict.
cy_young_9 • a President being kidnapped is a global conflict. Especially how they set it up in IM3. World ending events... Thor 2. Shield killing millions... winter soldier.
Most of the movies are happening at the same time for the most part
Yeah, my headcanon always just assumed the other Avengers were busy Avenging some other problem. 8 billion people on Earth, in a world full of super people - world's gonna have a lot of smaller problems that need solving.
"Thor the dark world" had F*CKING REALITY FALLING APART!!! if that is not a COSMIC conflict I dunno what is.
Omar Reyes yes, ALL of reality was falling apart. I assumed that most of the Avengers were scattered across the world, trying to deal with the effects of the cosmic shitstorm going down everywhere at once.
Forgot about Rocky 2 when Rocky’s eye was soooo bad yet it miraculously healed by Rocky 3
Yeah, I remember old man Mick smacking him on his blind side repeatedly.
You're confusing plot holes with things that aren't explained, believe it or not there's actually a difference, the films lack of explanation on the limitations of the time turner isn't a plot hole at all
It is if those limitations are never mentioned and then the time turners are never even mentioned again
And especially when they could be used to fix things
I love the "Dark Knight" movies, they're some of my favorites; but the more you watch them, the more nonsense you find in them haha.
Thank god Resident Evil made it to this list! But also number 1! The plethora of plot holes with this series were so infuriating.
Indiana Jones one is not a plot hole
In Jurassic Park: The Lost World, the big game hunter explains that everyone is safe for the moment because the t-rex's just fed, and predators don't hunt when they aren't hungry... a fact which the first JP and every one since have completely ignored.
The big game hunter might be lying or something...
Lazy research, more concerned about releasing content than releasing accurate content.
There's a bigger Rocky inconsistency. The first movie makes it clear that Rocky has no business being in the ring with Apollo, and NO chance of actually winning the fight. It's all about Rocky's internal battle, can he "go the distance."
From 2 on, he's treated as a legitimate heavyweight champion
MCU plot hole not really a plot hole could be simply down to other hero are busy dealing with other threats
Like Ironman 3 Thor is deal threats in Asgard and dark elf and Captain America dealing with Hydra in Shield
No Thor in Spider-Man homecoming is because he’s search for the infinity stone

Fine with Avengers logic because it is the same logic in comics.... Sometimes a team ... And sometimes solo
What about transformers? Cybertron was destroyed at the end of the end of the third movie and then somehow shows up (albeit damaged) in the 5th movie. And then theres bumblebee. When they went back in time, Harry realized that he was the one that saved himself when the dementor shows up, so it tells you that time travel in HP doesn't change the past, it just helps events unfold how they are supposed to happen *if I remember right
Not exactly the Harry saving Harry is more of a casual loop in time travel the reason it didnt have any ramifications is because that’s how it would always happen
