Thank you so much for this video! I’m almost 60 years old, I’ve covered MANY books over the years for my kids. ALL of them were awful 🤦🏻♀️😁 I just anxiously used this method on a very special book I had that was looking worn. It worked perfectly! 😃 So pleased, thank you.
Amazing! I already gave up doing that, but now i tried first time with this method and it worked perfectly, even with thicker books. Thank you so much!!!
Thank you for the lovely Tutorial! Whenever I tried covering my books with a contact paper there were bubbles always...But after seeing this video it went bubble free!
That's a curly one (excuse the pun!) I haven't tried it myself but I imagine you could follow my steps and cut the contact paper when it meets the spiral so only the front and back cover are covered but not the spiral. I hope that helps. Let me know how it goes 😀
I'm planning to use Contact for a very different kind of application - to cover hand made cards featuring my photographs. I checked out some other similar videos and it looked like the colours of the books became duller and less attractive after Contact was applied. Which is clearly not a good thing. Those videos may have been American. In this Australian made video, it looks like the colours of the book still look quite nice and vibrant after the Contact has been wrapped. By the way, I'm based in Australia too. I assumed that the same Contact product would be available in both Australia and the US. Though the colours of the wrapped item appear to show through better in your video. I admit I was a little hesitant before about using Contact on my photographic cards but after watching this video, I am steering more towards it. Out of curiosity, have you found that the colours of your books are minimally affected by the Contact? I'm planning on selling my cards so I want the colours to look good though I also need to protect the front surface from fingerprints etc.
I do this to my books but i always get bubbles😐. I also get those little particles in the air stuck in the edges. So when i'm done. The inside has those little things😐
No it is not, it is the best method ever, If you did it right with the same exact steps how would it ruin your books? You sure missed some step here or there friend
Let me know how you went with your book covering 📚😀
How to buy this
Excellent, thank you!

Last time I tried was a disaster--but this time using your method I was able to get it done with not a single bubble! Thank you :D

I just can't get it right 🤣there has to be a better way to protect books. I've destroyed 2 books doing this, I'm not risking any more lol.
There is a better way.
The same way we would use brown paper to protect our books, just use a plastic paper book cover and some tape1
Love it!!! Thank you!
