These tourists are lucky that the Silverback has a more tolerant disposition than most people.
The thing is gorillas are generally quite chill for the most part. But they still have boundaries.

He kinda gives of dad or grandpa vibes:
Give me your snacks and get your friends out of my general area.

Such a beautiful creature. His face seems to say, "Look, I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to."
Not really, Gorillas are chill animals, they never attack first, only trying to scary you. If silverback aggressively running at you and you are not moving he will stop or run nearby. They are also vegans, never eating meat and never hunting.
You’re saying that meanwhile its thinking “give me a reason to end you rn” 😂
Just like humans
Gorilla attacks on humans are so rare. They really dont want to fight. Its so rare that they do tours in africa where you walk around giant gorillas in the wild with a guide. No one ever gets hurt. Many wild animals dont want to fight unless they really feel you are a threat. Gorillas generally dont think we are.
The other BIG thing, gorillas mostly do not eat meat, so we arent prey for them.
The fact you think animals express emotions through facial expressions the same way people do tells me you need to learn more about animals other than what you're mom taught you about your house cat

He definitely is angry. Gorillas showing their teeth like that means back the fuck up.
He showed many signs of aggravation and sizing them up.
Actually, generally speaking, if humans give the Silverback due respect, and submit to them, or give them gifts, Silverbacks have been known to let the human stay in their range. Even sit near their nests. There are some Gorillas who are curious about humans.
In one clip a person sits with his head down while the Silverback inspects him. Sitting like this a sign of respect to the Silverback ,that he's in charge and this is his territory. He even let's some of the babies come near the person after this and they just sit hanging out for a while.
Of course in this situation its completely up to the individual Silverback what happens next . But being primates, we can communicate with body language rather well.
As long as you don't challenge the Silverback, it's usually a positive circumstance. Usually.
Unlike with Chimps, who are vicious little, insecure demons.
Edit: Just never smile/show teeth, at another type of primate, including gorillas, chimps etc. It means the complete opposite to other primates than what it means to humans. I guess that's one area we are different.

Showing teeth is not a sign of aggression from a Gorilla.
This Gorilla is not threatening in any way. It was not baring its teeth to show aggression, it made no sudden movements, and when fruit was given by humans the Silverback took it without hesitation. Finally you know the Gorilla was pleased with this interaction when it gave the deep gurgling sound. Don't mistake the sound other animals make as a threatening growl with this Gorilla's pleasure grumble. That deep deep sound he made lets us know he's happy.
This^ a act of aggression wouldnt be mistaken. These include cheast barring, chest pounding, posturing, and most commonly and extremely clear, bluff charging.
Finally, someone who actually wrote something true about this interaction.
He wasn't being "aggressive", but he actually was making it known that he was curious yet uncomfortable. The fruit obviously calmed him down like a peace offering, but he clearly didn't want to be bothered. That's why he slowly walked away but still kept his eye on them.
I don’t think they were inches away from a massacre or anything like that but that gorilla was definitely giving signs of discomfort at the very least. I’m a little annoyed at your confidence with the “it was not baring it’s teeth to show aggression” statement, considering that is exactly why they bare their teeth, which it was most certainly doing before they threw the lemon. I’m not really disagreeing with you because if the gorilla wanted to attack them he would’ve and I agree with everything else you said, but you seem to be portraying this as a positive interaction when it was not. It wasn’t “this gorilla is going to kill them all and rip their limbs off” kinda bad, but it’s absolutely not “gorilla was pleased with this interaction” kinda good. He was clearly uncomfortable, and an uncomfortable animal CAN easily become a dangerous and violent one. I’m assuming they avoided eye contact, as that comes across as a challenge to them.
Maybe. But, I'll just watch the video in the safety of my own home, thank you 😁

@Gfazo38 dude walked into something's territory. I know you come to my house and just walk in unannounced. If you got food, drink, or smoke, all good. Otherwise, yeah, I would attack. That's pretty much the sentiment behind the comment
He's absolutely beautiful species ❤️
I really thought its a faje Gorilla
Looks like he's saying "cheeeese" 😂
Cameraman never dies.
Plenty of tubers dying while live

Gorilla had more common sense than the tourist
💯 😂
Well the ease of modern civilization seems to have decreased peoples’ common sense.
I guess because modern people tend to have a mentality that if anything goes wrong then there’s always someone who can help/fix it.
This is not a mindset that most people throughout history could have.
Amazed how calm and tolerant the gorilla was to the human. As a fellow primate, I salute you!
That's a FACT & I salute YOU too!!!
That freaking smile the gorilla makes, OMG!!
what a beast! 6x stronger that your strongest human.
More like at least 10x stronger
@@Marvel_vs_Capcom84 good joke you got there
No
@@Abroldwdym?
@@Abrold Nope his right when it comes to consistency, the strongest human cant always lift 500lbs, a SBG can most likely consistently lift 2000lbs - 2500lbs. They can lift up to 4000lbs
There’s a guy that didn’t miss gym day …magnificent.
A case to say that he's natural and No-one can argue about it
he missed leg day though hahahaha
They are fascinating to just watch. Such majestic beasts
The way the gorilla eyes looked around at the beginning lol😂😂😂😂 he’s like “ man these people don’t know I am 500lbs of brute strength”
He was okay. The gorilla wasn’t mad just setting boundaries maybe checking what was near him. They are more like ppl, but don’t point, ’t stare, try not scare it away, don’t threaten.
More like people, no. people are more like them. People just forget, we take away our advanced minds and with all just like them.
And dont smile at it. (Show teeth)
We are not like them lol.
the only difference between us and chimpanzees (genetically) is that we have 2-3 more neuronal duplication rounds. So it's just MORE of the SAME that we have. More neurons, prefrontal cortex.
The rest of the gene difference is superficial (body hair, bone structure etc.) @@50n0fGod70
gorillas dont harm humans for no reason, their wild animals but sensible, their not apes, animals have personalities so please stop with the trend that their quick to hurt people unless the people are insanely dumb cuz gorillas are tranquil
The apple actually made him less pissed off. He was showing his teeth and looking defensive at first but then after he ate he gave a low grunt and walked away.
He was hangry… lol
That grunt is a sound they make when something is delicious to them.
Food is always the answer
The low grumbling is a friendly gesture, he’s basically saying you’re aight
You should go to his territory and Enter to find out
@Google Tech in Hollywood everything is posible
@@elcormoran1 I don't understand this attitude, why are you so quick to point out that they were in danger
When you have observed the body language of gorillas, you know this one wasn't aggressive at all.
You should never ..
I REPEAT NEVER EVER STARE AT A GORILLA IN THE FACE, eye contact can be mistaken as a show of dominance
I'm exactly the type to know that and still stare... despite trying my hardest not to 😅
And if you've already done that, go all in. Pound your chest, hop around & screech.

The cameraman is always safe because we never get to see the videos where he and his camera get torn to pieces!
Ugh
He's conveying f@#K around and find out, what curiosity gets you.
Magnificent creatures. They need to be protected more.❤
💯
But when we put them in zoos to protect them, you nutcases say “they belong in the wild Hurr durr”. Really can’t win.
No those idiots need protection.......
Lol how would you protect them more.Its.already illeage to kill them
@robbietrout6316 just because it's illegal doesn't mean they are not being killed! Their numbers are dwindling because of man!

He looks exactly like my neighbor. He doesn't like strangers coming into his yard either.
Estás mal de vizinho kkkk
Your neighbors got a peanut head too?
I thought u are going to be racist
is he also black

To be honest he(the gorilla) looked pretty relaxed, Got given some fruit and grunted to ask for more, then when there was no more he went away. 🤷♂️
That is what we call an absolute unit
