  • If you travel without one, you travel ill-prepared and under-equipped. These humble tools are like the emergency services - always there when you need them.

I bet that Champ has a ton of good stories attached to it! Cheers, buddy!

Randy, welcome mate. Mo is certainly top draw and I am grateful for his recommendation but even more for his friendship. I hope you enjoy the content.

    Hear! Hear!
Love to hear of some Swiss Champ love. So big and bulky they seem wrong, but are inevitably right. What a tool!

Once you’ve had one they are very winning and less hassle than a full multi tool

And....those 58mm SAKs....they punch above their weight class and are ever at hand to perform good service. I don't leave the house without a 58mm SAK.
Heck...I don't leave the bed without a 58mm SAK. Vic Classic in my pocket as I write....

Ive had the same champ 13 years now and I can say ive found a use for every tool on it, sometimes its intended use, sometimes not
but honestly more than I expected, all of them at least once a month for things here and there where it's not worth getting the proper tool for the job out. And despite being treat like shit its held up beautifully with only superficial damage
the only thing id change about it is make the spacers out of steel so it wouldent get dinged up when used as a hammer and make the magnifying glass out of glass so it wouldent be a scratched up mess after a couple of days in a pocket with some dust

I love stories from people who actually use their tools. Mine was sent back for a liner issue from too many bottles of French wine. Victorinox did a great job and it came back as good as new. I am delighted that others find these tools as indispensable as I do. Thanks for watching.

Swisschamp can't be beat as a backpack/car carry.

Don’t forget belt carry and we have more than a couple of pocket carriers here too 😉

@fadingmargins I tried carrying it on my belt for a couple weeks. I didn't use most of the tools that often, so I switched back to Compact. Swisschamp stays in my bag and handles anything the Compact can't.

I bought that wide river Che sheath you showed. I carry mine in that one and I don't even know it's there. I sure hope that guy is okay in the Ukraine.

@@fadingmargins I am just glad you are on a massive Adventure into the great hinterlands. I just hope it doesn't spoil you when you are back to over the fence adventuring again. You are passing through country where it is entirely possible cannot see another human for a week or two
