Steve, I am not surprised you have a roll of blade material and a way to weld it. That is a huge cost savings and no waiting for a replacement blade when it breaks!!!!

There is one more reason I love this band saw, I can drill a hole through a part, then thread a saw blade through the hole, weld the blade together, then install on the saw, cut out the center of the part, then brake the blade in two, and you have cut the center out without cutting through the outer part! I think that's pretty cool!
Thanks - haven't seen that done since I was in highschool... sort'a remembered the process, but you certainly refreshed my rusty memory.

First time I have seen this done. Not too many of us left using a file.
