Absolutely I’d love to see a knotts video too I haven’t been there is years!!!! I wasn’t a fan of universal last time we went but I’d watch a video of the fresh baked crew doing anything.
I really really enjoyed this video and appreciate how you guys showed Universal its due diligence with Forbidden Journey. Yes, Disney is king but it has some STRONG competition.
On a random note, if you go to Universal Studios.com there is a guy with his "family" on the front page in a pink shirt, thats my Friend Simon and he's an actor, thought thats pretty cool.
Well, you're certainly not going to hear a Lady Gaga song played by any of the musicians in Disneyland, so that's fun! lol I think it's so sweet that you brought the show to Ian! Ian is such an integral part of the Fresh Baked team, and it's great that you found a way to keep him on the show as he has to skip the usual Saturday shows at Disneyland for the next several months. But... Universal or no Universal... you know you won't be able to stay away from Galaxy's Edge when it opens in June! Let's be real. You may not be at Disneyland on opening day of Galaxy's Edge, but you will be there soon after!
Man, I love riding Forbidden Journey so much, but I have to close my eyes during the spider scene every time. They look just real enough to trigger my arachnophobia.
Flight of Passage, Forbidden Journey, Shanghai Pirates are the best attractions in the world currently. Journey to the Center of the Earth is up there as well.
I had been watching so many videos about Harry Potter at Universal Studios, and Diagon Alley and the Hogsworts Express train, but I didn't realize until just now that these things are only the the Orlando park. It seems like the Hollywood version of Harry Potter is only about half the size of the Orlando version. Bummer! That said, the level of detail inside the castle is amazing.
I find that there are two kinds of people who ride this ride: the ones who talk about the practical and projection effects, the possibility of motion sickness, the intensity of the ride, etc... and the ones who say "oh, yeah, the ride with the BIG SPIDER."
Forbidden Journey was my favorite until I rode Flight of Passage. For someone who suffers from motion sickness, ride was so in sync and smooth that I felt nothing.
This was a nice change of scenery! I’m not the biggest fan of Universal but I love seeing it through Fresh Baked’s eyes + all the new additions since I’ve been there! Plus Harry Potter anything is always rad! I get sick on that ride too and it’s scary how you’re suspended on a huge arm (something you don’t see at Disney!) My favorite part of Universal is the studio tour, by far. Much love! FRESH BAKED! ❤️
I so love me some Fresh Baked Disney! Look forward to it everyday. That said, I enjoy Fresh Baked Experiences as well! Thanks for this awesome week! I’m stoked to live vicariously through all of you while I’m stuck enduring this polar vortex up in Washington State. Warm wishes and...FRESH BAKED!!!
David- Enjoyed your comments on the price of food at Universal compared to Disneyland. It’s been 7-8 years since we went to Universal, was pleased that the gate pass was more affordable than I thought it was going to be, then we went to buy lunch...... wow!, I was shocked. Hope you touch more on this later on. Both in and out of the park. Keep up the great work!
I also got sick on the ride but i went when it had 3-D screens before they changed it, and it was even worst motion sickness i got off and like 3 other guest were hogging trashcans aha.
Glad you guys had a great time at Universal! Forbidden Journey is not a motion sickness friendly ride but like you said the set design is fantastic. Hope to see you all in the park! 😁
It is great ride but I got sick as well. This is a great video love universal studios, great to see Ian back , please please make more universal studios videos. Love the hot butter beer it the best. Great video guys well done 👍👍👍
We visited Universal Orlando the last time we were in Florida. (Stayed at a Disney property, so we didn't stray too far!!) The Wizarding World of Harry Potter there was as good as anything we've seen at a Disney park. Very well done. Where you notice the difference is when you get away from that area. Some of the other parts of the park are simply not up to the same standard. Like you said, when Universal really tries, they can do a darn good job. The other big difference is that many of the rides at Universal are thrill rides like Forbidden Journey. There aren't as many places to enjoy a simple dark ride or to be immersed in a themed land (like the Disney Paris Adventureland). If you really like thrill rides, you'll like Universal. Anyway, it's great to see you bring your sense of fun and adventure to another park!
I agree. Went to universal for the first time a couple weeks ago. Die hard disney nerd here, and i was impressed with the wizarding world, but anywhere else was kinda meh. And i realized they use the same ride vehicles for a couple attractions, I know they have no space like WDW, but it kinda bummed me out when we kept getting on the same ride vehicles at different attractions
That's about right. Apart from the Wizarding World, Universal Orlando is not quite up to Disney standards; the Wizarding World is actually *beyond* Disney to my eyes, though Galaxy's Edge may yet even the score. The Orlando version of the Wizarding World includes Diagon Alley, which is mind-blowing even compared to Hogsmeade, just as a themed land (and you can ride the Hogwarts Express between them!) Diagon Alley's signature ride, Escape from Gringotts, is also great, and less intense than Forbidden Journey for people concerned about motion sickness.
Cool ! Always awesome to step outside the Disney box once in a while ! We would also like to see more Knotts videos ! Especially when Bigfoot rapids is finished with the new remodel in a few months ! 🌊💦
I tend to get migraines on some of the rides, even the lot tour when they have the spiraling lights. But my family loves Universal so we've been going for 25 years. If I feel a migraine coming, I head for the first aid center on the lower level, they are wonderful.
I've been working on the Jurassic ride, we're going full 4D. The crew are refurbing and redressing some animatronics, I've been rewiring the audio. 3D screens with be added with new visuals and dinosaurs.
I flew helicopters in the Army, and I never got sick, but those simulator-type theme park rides get me sick every time. I guess that I've made an assumption that this ride was a simulator-type ride. Thanks for sharing!! Happy Valentine's Day!
I love forbidden journey! I was watching a video of the ride through one time, and in the background, I heard someone say, “What ride is this?” I’m 99.9% sure it was me
Nice to have Ian with you and to see David somewhere he knows nothing about. David’s excitement is contagious. I have to close my eyes on the spiders. The ride reminds me of if you took soarin and mashed it with Indiana Jones. The Spider-Man ride at universal Orlando done in the same way and is also very good. Was one of my favourite rides there.
To limit the motion sickness, I would suggest riding in the middle 2 seats, it's much less intense than the outside seats because of where the arm is connected to the back of the vehicle.
Eric Hoffman I really thought universal did the 1st one in 78’ but the most recent one was done by universal so I was half right lol HUGE Halloween fan!!! 🖤🧡 🎃
The first and only time I'd ever been to Universal Hollywood, Harry Potter land was just being built. I think we'll go this summer and avoid the Disney crowds.
I like the hello kitty store in universal studios. Yay hello kitty!!! I almost cried when we almost didn't go to harry potter world. Then we went and i was happy. I am such a kid.
I feel your pain, guys. I felt so nauseated after riding the Orlando version of Forbidden Journey and it lasted several hours afterwards so I couldn't partake in a lot of the other rides I wanted to. It sucks because the theming of the ride is so well done.
Ive always loved Disney so much that I’d rather save up for my pass there than go to universal even once, but seeing you guys go reminds me that it can be fun to just go to a new park and get lost in it and see things you haven’t seen before :) Disney will always be my #1 Park but I had no idea how much magic was happening in other parks! The stuff you guys have shown us so far looks really well themed (I dunno if that’s just cause you’re filming the most exciting stuff or if that’s how the whole park is; but with the police officers and the live performances on the street..I think it looks pretty magical at least on my phone screen haha
Disneyland will always remain number 1 but man I went for Halloween Horror Nights for the first time and their bag check is so much quicker! Disneyland needs to take some notes!
Anyone who complains about an $8 butterbeer hasn't been to a movie theater concessions stand lately. Yikes! Anyway, we're a captive consumer inside the park and they know it. The alternative is to consume nothing in the park except water and wait until you leave to eat or drink. I think very few people have that level of discipline, so just budget for the food before you go and enjoy the experience.
Universal Studios is all about throwing water at your face. I think they sit in there board meetings and say, "Where can we throw more water at peoples faces?"
I had to close my eyes through Most of this ride I got motion sick so bad.. sucks because I LOVE Harry Potter 👍👍👍👍 So what's going on with Ian? FRESH BAKED 👍👍👍👍
When I rode that ride it hurt my upper back. I wont be able to ride it again due to that. They need to put some kind of padding on the back so it's not so hard when they lay you flat. It felt like my spine was gonna break between my shoulders.
I have done Harry Potter in Florida. Just wondering if Hermione makes it snow on you in Hollywood ? I thought that was amazingly cool. It was real snow ( it melted on your skin ). Forbidden Journey is one of the best conceived and executed rides ever.
I think there is ZERO wrong with Fresh Baked venturing out from DL once and awhile. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼✌🏼
agreed!
Absolutely I’d love to see a knotts video too I haven’t been there is years!!!! I wasn’t a fan of universal last time we went but I’d watch a video of the fresh baked crew doing anything.
4:45. "This guy" Best part of the video. Idk why he made me laugh so much but he did. Ty "this guy"
You have to visit to hear him crow 😂😂😂. It’s amazing!!!
@@christopherwilson8508 well now im even more intrigued by "this guy".
I really really enjoyed this video and appreciate how you guys showed Universal its due diligence with Forbidden Journey. Yes, Disney is king but it has some STRONG competition.
I hope it is respective competition
Totally down for universal studios videos. 👏🏼👌🏼
On a random note, if you go to Universal Studios.com there is a guy with his "family" on the front page in a pink shirt, thats my Friend Simon and he's an actor, thought thats pretty cool.
Wow. Walking through Universal Studios reminded me so much of walking down California Adventure Hollywood section.
Love the shout out to
The Tim Tracker
YES!! FINALLY! YOU NEED TO MAKE MORE UNIVERSAL VIDS! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
Well, you're certainly not going to hear a Lady Gaga song played by any of the musicians in Disneyland, so that's fun! lol I think it's so sweet that you brought the show to Ian! Fresh Baked at Knott's and Universal? ABSOLUTELY!!!!
Man, I love riding Forbidden Journey so much, but I have to close my eyes during the spider scene every time. They look just real enough to trigger my arachnophobia.
Ik i close my eyes on the part where the dragon blows hot fire
Its to hottt ;-;
Flight of Passage, Forbidden Journey, Shanghai Pirates are the best attractions in the world currently. Journey to the Center of the Earth is up there as well.
Best ride Queue ever. Possibly best ride ever.
Two years ago I was in CA alone so I did the $300 vip tour. It was so fun and definitely worth it.
I love Ian's sweatshirt. :D
This video has the same "Fresh Baked on Tour" vibe that the Disneyland Paris vlogs had - I'm totally into it.
DISNEY PARIS and NOW THIS! So Much Fun seeing PARKS I've never seen! Such beautiful architectural imagery. Keep Exploring!
Liz is me when I see anything Hello Kitty lol.
Awesome to see y'all here on this side of the valley! Hope to see more of fresh-baked muffin stuff at Universal Studios in the future
I’m looking forward to more universal videos! I’ve never been so it’s really nice seeing it thru your eyes. Love ya Fresh Baked!!!💙
I had been watching so many videos about Harry Potter at Universal Studios, and Diagon Alley and the Hogsworts Express train, but I didn't realize until just now that these things are only the the Orlando park. Ian representing Captain Marvel.
Great to see you do something different and even better to see the whole gang back together.
I find that there are two kinds of people who ride this ride: the ones who talk about the practical and projection effects, the possibility of motion sickness, the intensity of the ride, etc...
and the ones who say "oh, yeah, the ride with the BIG SPIDER."

Finally catching up on all the videos!! love Harry Potter, so glad you enjoyed the ride. Also thank you so much for my Birthday shout out!!
Forbidden Journey is prolly my favorite rides of all time. right up there with the Disney classics
Ian's Captain Marvel sweatshirt=LOVE
Good to see Ian and that butter beer sounded good!
This was a nice change of scenery! I’m not the biggest fan of Universal but I love seeing it through Fresh Baked’s eyes + all the new additions since I’ve been there! Fun to see you guys on a “field trip “.

That ride is pretty mind blowing the first time

Glad you guys had a great time at Universal! Forbidden Journey is not a motion sickness friendly ride but like you said the set design is fantastic.
Hope to see you all in the park! 😁
Frozen Butterbeer is the BEST!! I only get frozen when I've been :)
I really like this video. It's great to see you guys mix things up a little. Really liked the band in the beginning playing Lady Gaga
I really enjoyed this video. You made it seem more fun than I remembered it.
It is great ride but I got sick as well. This is a great video love universal studios, great to see Ian back , please please make more universal studios videos. Love the hot butter beer it the best. Great video guys well done 👍👍👍
Aw man! I wish we could’ve seen Liz freak out during the spiders.😂

glad you enjoyed the ride! hopefully next time you go to universal, im working so I could say hi!
Don’t mind the vlogs when it’s just you two, but man o man did I miss Ian! He’s so cool!
I flew helicopters in the Army, and I never got sick, but those simulator-type theme park rides get me sick every time. I guess that I've made an assumption that this ride was a simulator-type ride. Thanks for sharing!! Happy Valentine's Day!

I get to do this in June. So excited! Great review of this ride.
Liz had me with her t-shirt. Am a big fan of the original Halloween.
Eric Hoffman I really thought universal did the 1st one in 78’ but the most recent one was done by universal so I was half right lol HUGE Halloween fan!!! 🖤🧡 🎃
@@elizabetherickson6937 so what were your thoughts on the most recent one?
Eric Hoffman LOVED IT! Definitely my 2nd fave!!!!!
@@elizabetherickson6937 I thought it was a good follow up to the original, but they kind of overdid it on the comedy.
Eric Hoffman yeah they kinda tried too hard with the teens and such but I looked passed it
The first and only time I'd ever been to Universal Hollywood, Harry Potter land was just being built. I think we'll go this summer and avoid the Disney crowds.
Good morning Fresh Baked!!!! 💖☀️🌻💗🙌🙌🙌
Good morning Britney!
I like the hello kitty store in universal studios. Yay hello kitty!!! I almost cried when we almost didn't go to harry potter world. Then we went and i was happy. I am such a kid.
Wow, busy!! When we went in February it was seriously dead. This was during the week though. 15 minute wait for Harry Potter rides max.
Awesome video! I, myself never been to Universal but I definately want to go someday. It's great to see you guys outside of Disneyland for a change!
I love that you love this ride! ❤️
I’m with Dave. I don’t want to hear anyone complain about Disney prices with Universal so close in pricing for parking, food and merch.
Excited for the change of pace.
I feel your pain, guys. I felt so nauseated after riding the Orlando version of Forbidden Journey and it lasted several hours afterwards so I couldn't partake in a lot of the other rides I wanted to. It sucks because the theming of the ride is so well done.
Liz your hair looks so cute!
TIFFY_TAFFI hehe thanks babe!!! ^.^*! Xoxo
The Gringotts Bank ride at Universal Orlando is soooo much better!!
I love that place
Butter beer STASH.
LOL LOL LOL 😜😜😜😜✌🏼
Awesome guys !!thank you..
Good morning Fresh Baked!

Nice change of pace.
Bought the cups at the bar in the Hogshead and by showing your annual pass (gold or platinum) you could have got a 15% discount.
I went there today and that band was playing that same song. I miss the way it used to be with the real animatronic Kong.
Were did Ian get the Captain marvel jacket it look great I would love to get one can you tell me please
I would love more universal videos!
I will be heading to Universal and Disney The first week of March. Staying for a week. I love to see what I can expect over there.
Disneyland will always remain number 1 but man I went for Halloween Horror Nights for the first time and their bag check is so much quicker! Disneyland needs to take some notes!
Annual passes are very affordable
Anyone who complains about an $8 butterbeer hasn't been to a movie theater concessions stand lately. Yikes! Anyway, we're a captive consumer inside the park and they know it. Good show. Awesome ride too
that locker room is crazy, i ended up in the gift store on accident
I'm confused.. why is Ian "land locked"?
I will say that the Butter Beer is really good. Maybe not $8 good but worth at least one.. Still love Universal though.
Loved Harry Potter. When we rode we stopped for a few minutes right in front of Aragog. When our eyes adjusted to the dark... NOT cool.
Universal Studios is all about throwing water at your face. I think they sit in there board meetings and say, "Where can we throw more water at peoples faces?"
Seriously, I know it gets hot and all, but I've probably been to water parks that didn't spray or splash me as much as Universal Studios Hollywood.
I don't mind it water at your face effect. I think it's cool as long as it's executed well..
Ha it's funny! I'm headed there mid March
We got stuck 2 times in the same day on the harry Potter ride and it was at the spider part.
I'd like to see alot of universal!
I'd hurl riding it but it does look fun haha.
Three things I love about FreshBaked: Ian, Ian , and Ian.
Yeah universal has different rules then Disneyland or Walt Disney World on both coasts, the same thing with both universal Parks
I also have a universal studios a pass im in thousand oaks so we cant always make it 2 disney .now 2 times the chance to meet u guys
I had to close my eyes through Most of this ride I got motion sick so bad.. sucks because I LOVE Harry Potter 👍👍👍👍
So what's going on with Ian?
FRESH BAKED 👍👍👍👍
It is a great ride..

I usually take Dramamine before I go to Universal because of the motion sickness. It's definitely an issue.
