I have a Drum now but using a nexus and KoiMasters Advantage made the water sparkle. Yes the drum takes the filth out of the water instantly so from a chemistry perspective its better for the Koi. However I believe better clarity can be achieved with a nexus... Great Video mate proper enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.
@@scrag68 we're getting there mate slowly but surely... Just a tip, stuff will settle in the bio chamber of the nexus over time as the air ring is raised, Once something settles underneath it that's it. I turned the ring upside down so the air holes face down. Some people even replaced them with multiple stones... That being said a quick blast with the jet wash round the outer chamber once a year in winter use to stir up all the steeled waste and it would make its way through to be filtered out. Always did it in winter as the bio load was always down and you're messing with chlorine straight through jet wash.
Glad it worked for you mate, working on the final iteration, so will send it when done with a slightly tighter fit. Will also see if I can make it float 😅.

Hi Craig, as you know my current pond is a similar size you your grow-on. My filters are gravity fed, and once the water reaches the 10,000 EA variable pump, it only has to go through the UV and then straight in to the pond, so very little pipework / bends / restrictions etc. I run my pump at 1%, which actually still pulls about 3,000 l/ph through the system and shows as using 17 watts. But with your additional travel through the pipes / heater / and then the head height for the shower, that could well be about right for you mate. Just my thoughts tho….. 🤔 🤷🏼♂️ 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

strange your nexus does that, mine doesnt do it so im not sure if your water level maybe too high hence its coming back up out the overflow
