I introduced my daughter to this song almost 2 years ago and she loved it. The next week they were doing trivia in school for fun and she knew the answer to a question was Dixie Chicks because of this song. Only one in her 8th grade class to know who they were. (it was a tie breaker question, her group won) She also wears a T-shirt that says “Some of y’all don’t know what happened to Earl and it shows”. Only teachers get the reference.
Oh my god the way you both just STOPPED jamming when she sang "Wanda starting getting abused." It really throws you for a loop when such an upbeat song goes there.
The Dixie Chicks were very popular in the late 90s and early 2000s. Just changed their name to The Chicks last summer. “Cowboy Take Me Away” features a lot of banjo and more harmonies. Not Ready to Make Nice is their most powerful song.

I love "Goodbye Earl"! It makes me think of my late ex husband. He was an abusive jerk. After he died I saw the video one day and just busted out laughing and came on here shared, tagged my BFF and it's been a running joke for the past 10 year's now since he died.

When this song was popular, I had a friend that lost her daughter (35) to cancer. At her funeral they played this song because it was the daughters favorite song. I thought it was great to have her go out with something she loved.

You need to do Reba McEntire some female Friday. Fancy, The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia, and Does He Love You are all great storytelling songs from an absolute legend.

I am born and raised in Dallas, Texas where the Chicks are from, I wish I had known it then but I do remember seeing them in a county bar down here. They sang a song, not sure which one; was not sure until they made their first album official.
“Traveling Soldier” by The Chicks is an incredibly beautiful song, great story: there’s a good chance you might cry. Well sung and accompanied by great musicianship. I highly recommend it for Female Friday.
The first time the ladies performed that song was at the Grammy Awards, I think. The audience went absolutely crazy. Two other great songs are “Traveling Soldier”, and “Not Ready to Make Nice”
I have never been a fan of country music, but my mom got me to listen to this song when it came out, and I loved it. I've watched this video twice to see y'all's reaction when Natalie Maines (the lead singer) says, "That Earl had to die," for the first time. You could clearly tell that y'all weren't expecting that and the looks on your faces was priceless! Definitely a great song and great reaction.

Yeah I was never a fan of much country music (a song here and there I like) and I hated The Chick's Ready to Run (like it now) but when I heard this song I was like 'Hey I guess they are alright' Then I saw a TV concert they did and fell in love. Now one of my favorite artist.
Dusty Springfield Son Of A Preacher Man and Bobbie Gentry Ode To Billy Joe to great great songs for Female Friday thanks and Rob you still need to give Leon Russell A Song For You Live a listen it's just Leon and his Piano thanks
The Dixie chicks "cowboy take me away" Reba McEntire "Fancy" is a good storytelling song! Reba is damn good singer she's been around country music for years and years.
Agree 100%! His album with Edie Brickell is really amazing. Not a bad song on the album, but "When You Get To Asheville" might be my favorite. Edie's singing is marvelous on that one, but Steve proves that he's the best clawhammer banjo player in the world.
The Dixie Chicks are from Texas and were one of the biggest bands in country music in the late 1990s. In 2003 the lead singer told a London audience days before the Invasion of Iraq that the band did not endorse the war and were "ashamed" that President George W. Bush was from Texas. There was a huge backlash in the country music community, including their music being banned by country radio and fans burning/destoying/tossing out their Dixie Chicks albums. This reaction destroyed the band's career. The band broke up for several years, but began touring again in 2010. The Dixie Chicks never regained their music success, though. In 2020, they dropped "Dixie" from their name because of possible racist connotations regarding the old South. They then released a semi-successful song "Gaslighter" You should really check that one out.
For Female Friday: Loreena McKennitt, please! Start with "Mummer's Dance" live version. It is a slow song, but it has atmosphere, mood, story telling, and while there is no banjo, it uses a whole bunch of very odd and traditional instruments. You will love her voice.
Oh, I totally agree with you! She & Enya are two I love to listen to when I need inspiration for my writing or just need to relax or go to sleep. Their music's not boring at all - just really calming.
I have watched this one with you guys about 3 times! This is a fun song and so glad you guys loved it! I love to watch the reaction the first time you guys find out "that Earl had to die". I have watched several reaction videos on this song and you can tell when people have previewed the song before doing their video and you guys never do this (I can tell). Thank you for your sincere reaction that you always give to the songs! That's what makes it fun to watch. Keep up the good work!
Did anyone else notice the blooper as they throw Earl's body down the hill? A hand comes up in the right lower corner to stop the "body" going into the camera. And fun fact: My pet pig's name was Sweet Baby Sipowicz after Dennis Franz's character on NYPD Blue. He was my favorite on the show.
respectfully requesting “Heaven is a Place on Earth” by Belinda Carlisle this is my weekly Belinda song request on female friday lol so hi if you see this on a couple videos today
YES!! Great song! Often overlooked as a singer, Belinda Carlisle has an excellent voice. For those that don't know, Belinda Carlisle is the longtime lead singer of the band The Go-Go's. Hmmm, maybe there's a "Female Friday" suggestion there? Summer is a good time for a "Vacation", LOL!
Suggestion for female Friday - Alicia Keys. "No One" or "Fallin" - although her voice is so amazing any song you listen to will be absolutely fantastic.
Pretty sure they’ve both heard that. The point of this channel is them being exposed to music they’re not accustomed to, and the joy they get discovering new music
The Chicks - they changed their names recently (last year) because they didn’t like the connotations that ‘Dixie’ has. They (like many, I am sure) hadn’t really thought about it when they first got together. So they just dropped the word.
I remember my mom used to listen to The Chicks on cassette when I was a kid even though we weren't big country fans. She always skipped over this song when I was younger and then finally played it for me one day. I was SHOOK at the part about Wanda covering up her bruises. Really opened my eyes to the idea of domestic abuse. I love how even though the video is dark humor at its finest, they have that one serious moment with Jane Krakowski in the ICU and don't downplay the abuse. They have to take you to that low point in order to rally you in the cause to kill Earl!
I can’t remember did you kids do Harper Valley PTA part one and two? That would be a good one! I can’t remember who sings that you guys leave it down in the comment lol
Part 2 was done years after part 1, and was basically a refutation. Apparently Jeannie found religion and wanted to do a more religious version. Check out the episode on her in the Cocaine and Rhinestones podcast. There was a three part series on that song, and everything around it.
This song goes off at their concerts. It’s definitely a fan favourite. I think you’d really like Cowboy Take Me Away, Long Time Gone (so much banjo and fiddle), Landslide (but listen to Fleetwood Mac’s original first), Not Ready to Make Nice, Without You, Sleep at Night. So many other good songs! The other two band members mostly do harmonies, with Natalie on lead. Emily is the banjo player and the reason I chose banjo as an instrument to learn and Martie (my favourite member) plays the fiddle. They all play other instruments as well. Very talented ladies! Thank you for checking out this video! x
You should do "Not Ready To Make Nice" by The Chicks. It was after the death threats they received for saying the were embarrassed to be from the same state as then Pres Bush (Jr not Sr). The raw emotion in that song will tear you apart.
Earl the character appears in another song that was written by the same guy. He also shows up in "Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer" recorded by Sammy Kershaw.
Love it! One of my suggestions!! :) The Chicks removed Dixie from their name recently (to remove the reference for its symbolism to historical racism in the South). They have other great songs, too!! Worth a deeper dive!! They got caught up in a huge scandal by protesting GW Bush many years back, too, that isolated them for a while from the country music world, but they've been making a comeback. They have always been bold, brash, honest, feminist, political, and unafraid to speak their mind. Worth discovering because they make some amazing music! Happy Female Friday, y'all!
Give Brandi Carlile’s “The Joke” a listen. The song is beautiful but it’ll make you cry, and the video is quite powerful! Elton John said himself that this is the one song (in the past five years) he wished he would have written.
The Dixie Chicks voluntarily/conscientiously dropped "Dixie' from their group name after 14 years because it's strongly associated with the era of slavery in the South. . . . . In this music video, 'Earl' is portrayed by Dennis Franz, the intense long-time police detective on "N.Y.P.D. Blue" (1993-2005).
The Chicks are a band that you all would really like, both musically and politically. Recently changed their name and took Dixie out of it because they didn't want to be associated with the negative Southern connection to Dixie and the mistreatment of blacks. The Chicks also got in a lot of heat years ago while playing in the UK claiming the George Bush II "wasn't our president" when he did something stupid that they didn't back. Natalie Maines, the lead singer, was actually raised in the country music world. Her father is a famous steel guitar player and the other two gals are actually sisters.
I haven't heard this song in years! Good choice! And as far as I know, they are indeed the Dixie Chicks. If you want another fun country song for Female Friday, you should react to "The Pill" by Loretta Lynn. On the other hand, a good story song for Female Friday would be "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" by Vicki Lawrence, or possibly "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" by Tammy Wynette. I would love to see all of those reactions!
Amber I love your enthusiasm for great music. As a fellow southerner I feel like I can totally relate to you when you talk about where you grow up. I’m in the sticks in Virginia. Ya’lls reactions are great!! Keep them coming. How about some 80’s hair metal?
Love the Dixie Chicks, who came back renamed as The Chicks after being tormented for their song I dont wanna make nice - listen to The Cranberries - Zombie - (RIP Dolores) for female Friday!
@@jsjazz12 not true. They renamed themselves because during the early 2000's they insulted a sitting President on national television. Natalie Manes statef that she was ashamed of being from Texas because of George Bush was the president of the United States. Their popularity plummeted and many venues canceled them. They are the perfect example of " go woke go broke." What Manes forgot is that most country music fans are conservative Republicans. To this day my family refuses to listen to them. But again it had absolutely nothing to do with the word Dixie, because quite frankly that is just stupid.
@@thomasrocker7408 - actually, @jsjazz12 is correct and Natalie Maines even explained that on Howard Stern last year. But their "Freedom of Speech" rights to insult any president, current or past, did not sit well with some right-wing, conservative country music fans, and Toby Keith began a movement to oust them from fame and destroy their careers--that whole ordeal was documented in many places, including posters he projected at his concerts of Natalie & then president of Iraq, Saddam Hussein. And he calls liberal folks "snowflakes"...lol
You really should listen to Sin Wagon by now. And also lister to their later one, made 20 years later, under the name “The Chicks”, called March March .Both are brilliant !
The actor who played Earl in this video is Dennis Franz, he's been in Long run series NYPD Blue as detective Andrew Sipowicz along with Jimmy Smits you might remember him from running scared, along with Rick Schroeder who was in Silver Spoons in the '80s which had Alfonso Ribeiro in it as well as Aaron Gray from Buck Rogers in the 25th century and lastly it had Mark Paul Gosselaar from saved by the Bell who was a fan of Dennis Franz and Dennis Franz when they got to work together finally admitted that he was a closet fan of saved by the Bell
I know right still don't see why they had to change their name when it was only 6-10 years ago we had Hart of Dixie which had nothing to do with what they say it nearly meant Southern maybe I'm ignorant but I just don't get it
The whole story behind The Chicks is crazy. They were “ cancelled” by country radio for saying they were ashamed the then President. George W. Bush was from their home state of Texas while doing a concert in London. You should listen to “ Not Ready To Make Nice”, “Wide Open Spaces” and “Traveling Solider”. They are amazing.
@@Mymloch The word Dixie is not offensive at all. Nobody knows for sure how it became a common reference to refer to the south. But there is nothing to indicate it has any connection whatsoever to anything they were worried about distancing themselves from. It wasn't even popularized as a common reference to the south until a hundred years after any of the events they were worried that it was associated with.
Yall Dixie Chick's I'm not Ready to Make Nice.. its a song they wrote in response to a stance they took against the war. The message and story telling in that song are almost unmatchable. Love ya guys 🧡🧡🧡
You must do Miranda Lambert. Start with Gunpowder and Lead or Something Bad About to Happen with Carrie Underwood. Carrie Underwood's Jesus Take The Wheel or Something in the Water are both tearjerkers.
I have the CD Wide Open Spaces that this song is from and the whole album is great. Clarification of their name...they were the Dixie Chicks for many years, but the changed the name to just The Chicks within the last few years because the word Dixie generally refers to the Southern states that were part of the Confederacy during the Civil War and associated slavery, racism, etc. The country band Lady Antebellum also changed their name within the last few years to Lady A for basically the same reason to be more racially sensitive. Antebellum refers to the period of time in the South prior to the Civil War, so again, it could be associated with slavery, racism, white supremacy, etc.
If I could suggest some female content from an unexpected source: Pink Floyd, Great Gig In The Sky. Some of the best female vocals ever recorded, and without a word spoke. Except a short (almost hidden sentence) whisper near the end.
Natalie Maines has an AMAZING voice. She did up the twang a bit for this one tho. Lol. Please listen to traveling soldier if you love a sad sad storyteller song ❤️
The Chicks also did an AWESOME cover of "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks. You will get to hear the voices of the other two women and the trio's harmonizing is excellent.
I am in Englishman and this reminds me of my visits to the south, I love it! they are wonderful and have a really good meaning and intent. In fact they are admirable really!! love your folks reaction...
Negative connotations? All of a sudden people are supposed to be offended by the word “Dixie.” Supposedly, some people think it is related to slavery. Just like Lady Antebellum, they are now known by Lady A.
@@LadyGator1983 Its because of where the song Dixie land came from. It was a popular song in minstrel shows long before the civil war. Secondly the Dixie chicks came out hard against George Bush and the wars in the Middle east and people in the south didn't like them and told them they need to drop the Dixie from their name, so they did.
Unfortunately Natalie needs to stick with singing. Insulting a sitting president on national television is really pretty stupid. As they came to find out.
@@thomasrocker7408 She did that at a concert in London in 2003. She said they were against the war in iraq and they were ashamed that the President was from Texas. Because of the backlash they didn't tour again until 2010. She knew if she did that in the U.S. they might get booed off stage.
The Chicks were the biggest country group at this time. Then upon the eve of the Iraq war they were playing a show in London and Natalie, the lead singer said she was ashamed the President of the United States was from Texas and the many people turned against them, they were banned from country radio and people burned, stamped their CD's, protested their shows and they received death threats. You should watch their documentary Shut Up and Sing.
You should check then out. When George Bush was president they expressed they were upset with him taking us to war and faced a HUGE backlash. While other country artists were writing post 9/11 songs about blowing up enemies, the Chicks voiced their concerns. They paid dearly. I love their song Not Ready to Make Nice about those events. The singer, Natalie, has amazing vocals and is a bit of a wild child. They changed their name to The Chicks recently. They dropped the Dixie in the wake of George Floyd. Love these progressive country artists. Cowboy Take Me Away and Wide Open Spaces were their breakout hits.
Take a look/listen to The Chicks' "Not Ready to Make Nice" - it's their comeback song after all the crap they took from Country Radio. (The were The Dixie Chicks, but changed to The Chicks to remove the 'old South' connotation of Dixie.)
That song is so pwerful, and moves me close to tears every time. I still don't understand why she was so viciously attacked when so many people who were opposed to the "new" war said the same or worse. Here is what she said, scandalous ..."As Maines was introducing the Chicks' then-latest single, "Travelin' Soldier," she said, "Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we're ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas."...
The Chicks "I'm Not Ready to Make Nice" done after they were basically ostracized from country music is also awesome. Also "Daddy Lessons" with Beyonce from the Country Music Awards
Their best song is Traveling Soldier. They were all great musicians. They were ahead of their time being celebrities that said something stupid that pissed off all their fans.
I don't know if they said something stupid they stated their opinion I may or and may not agree with them but I thought to USA wit was a free country where you can speak your mind not anymore I guess
NOT READY TO MAKE NICE by The Chicks!!! And Traveling Soldier… I can’t listen to that song without crying and thinking of my brother. My favorite veteran!!
The other girls (Emily and Martie) are primarily instrumentalists, and sing backup. Emily plays banjo, Martie plays fiddle and viola (plus probably other instruments for both of them!). They just weren’t shown with their instruments in this video. The singer, Natalie, is their longest-tenured lead vocalist. There were a couple other singers prior to her, when they were more of a bluegrass band. When Natalie joined, they adopted a pop-country sound, recorded the Wide Open Spaces album, and they shot to fame!

they lost their popularity for saying F BUSH! i stopped listening to them! but they where right the deep state lied there where no WMDS!

Half breed, if I could turn back time, I found someone, believe.
Check their songs, "Cowboy Take Me Away"', "Wide Open Spaces", "Travalin' Soldier", & "Ready To Run".
…and Sin Wagon!!!
Also “ not ready to make nice”
Yes!!!!!!!
SIN WAGON!
And "when you were mine"
I love y'all bobbing to the beat and then freezing when the lyrics got real lol :)
I'm always impressed with Amber. She always gets it and always catches even the small details. Always two thumbs up guys.
Dusty Springfield Son Of A Preacher Man and Bobbie Gentry Ode To Billy Joe to great great songs for Female Friday thanks and Rob you still need to give Leon Russell A Song For You Live a listen it's just Leon and his Piano thanks
YES!!
Dusty YES!!!!
Definitely go for Dusty Springfield and Bobbie Gentry for Female Friday! And Leon Russell is great also.
I absolutely agree. Leon is amazing👍
I know how much you love the 60’s…SO you need to listen to Son of a Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield for Female Friday!!! You will love it!!!
Yup. Or commonly known for being in pulp fiction, at least to me
The Dixie chicks "cowboy take me away" Reba McEntire "Fancy" is a good storytelling song! Reba is damn good singer she's been around country music for years and years.
Both great songs!
“Cowboy take me away” was my wedding song…I love it so much!
And Natalie has such a beautiful voice! The two sisters are so talented too! Amazing on the instruments!
"Earl" the actor was a popular tv policeman on NYPD Blue for about 12 years. Dennis Franz.
This reaction was GOLD. I laughed so hard 🤣 Thank you for the laugh
You guys are awesome!
If you like the banjo, comedian Steve Martin is also a brilliant banjo player. ✌🏻
Steep Canyon Rangers with Edie Brickell is amazing! Love Steve Martin!
Yeah he is...! Watch Steve inducting Paul Simon into TRRHOF..... It's Great...!
Yes!!!
They have great music. Landslide, Wide Open Spaces, etc... so many.
Wide Open Spaces is the anthem for every child leaving home to start life
I have watched this one with you guys about 3 times!
He was my favorite on the show.
respectfully requesting “Heaven is a Place on Earth” by Belinda Carlisle
this is my weekly Belinda song request on female friday lol so hi if you see this on a couple videos today
Yes please! I love that song!
YES!!
Circle in the sand.
Ooh, yes do that one, please!
Another vote for listening to "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" by Belinda Carlisle
Suggestion for female Friday - Alicia Keys. "No One" or "Fallin" - although her voice is so amazing any song you listen to will be absolutely fantastic.
I love fallin!
Her voice is beautiful
Pretty sure they’ve both heard that. The point of this channel is them being exposed to music they’re not accustomed to, and the joy they get discovering new music
Alicia Keyes has a gorgeous voice! Please do this soon. Ty
They may have changed their name to “the Chicks” but when this song was recorded they were The Dixie Chicks
“Dixie Chicks”, without “The” in front of it.
WokeXie Chicks…🤣👎👎
@@beeepizzle it's ok to be woke, but uber-woke... that's a problem.
They are trying to change history.
I was wondering about that lol
Jeannie C Riley. Great song one of the best moms in music
jack burdsall that’s her! She was the BEST MOM IN HISTORY 👏🏼 🙏🌍✌️🇺🇸
That whole album by Jeannie C. Riley is amazing!! One of my favorites since I was a kid. (Long, long time) 🙂
Part 2 was done years after part 1, and was basically a refutation.
Thank you for checking out this video! x
I'm not a massive country fan but I LOVE The Chicks. Cowboy Take Me Away and The Long Way Round are amazing 👏🏽
Yes!!!!!!!
oh my god yes, another amazing artist and song that does not get the credit it deserves! her voice gives me chills.
I really like her song "The Story".
Give anything by Brandi a listen, can't go wrong, imho...
Yes to “The Joke”! The official video give beautiful context to the song and her live performance at the Grammys displays her extraordinary talent
You should listen to You Were Mine by The Chicks. I love that song and I'm not a huge Dixie Chicks fan.
ALL GOOD!!!
Actually they recently removed the Dixie because many found it offensive.
@@igna83 - yep. Petty vicious bullying IMHO.
I'm still not use to hearing them not being called, 'Dixie Chicks'.
I didn't even know they changed their name. I was like "who are the chicks?". Lol
I know right still don't see why they had to change their name when it was only 6-10 years ago we had Hart of Dixie which had nothing to do with what they say it nearly meant Southern maybe I'm ignorant but I just don't get it
Yeah, can't say I'm a fan of that VERY overly knee-jerk reaction nonsense. The word "Dixie" is not offensive in and of itself.
@@Mymloch
The word Dixie is not offensive at all.
If you're going for Carrie Underwood, don't miss Two Black Cadillacs or Before He Cheats.
My favorite actor Dennis Franz playin Earl. Good actors in this.
I’ve been suggesting that for a long time. It will make you ( or at least me) divide your life into 2 parts. Before I heard it and after.
Absolutely!!! Haunting and beautiful.✌❤
Can't agree more! Awe inspiring!
Natalie Maines has an AMAZING voice. She did up the twang a bit for this one tho. Lol. Please listen to traveling soldier if you love a sad sad storyteller song ❤️
She really does. Her voice can be very soft sometimes. Love these talented ladies! ✌🏻🙂✌🏻
The Chicks also did an AWESOME cover of "Landslide" by Stevie Nicks. You will get to hear the voices of the other two women and the trio's harmonizing is excellent.
Spot on there
I am in Englishman and this reminds me of my visits to the south, I love it! they are wonderful and have a really good meaning and intent. In fact they are admirable really!! love your folks reaction...
The Chicks are amazing! You need to listen to Traveling Solider and You Were Mine! Awesome songs!
Earl is in my moms yearbook Dennis Franz - PROVISO EAST MAYWOOD IL
I used to drive by that school every day on my way to work!
,I love seeing reactions to this when people have no clue what is coming. Carole King, "It's Too Late" is a great song for Female Friday!
They dropped the ‘Dixie’ recently because of the negative connotations. Now, they’re just ‘The Chicks’. 🐥
Negative connotations? All of a sudden people are supposed to be offended by the word “Dixie.” Supposedly, some people think it is related to slavery. Just like Lady Antebellum, they are now known by Lady A.
AFTER they alienated themselves from the entire country music industry by insulting their entire audience.
They should’ve dropped Chicks too since it sounds sexist. 😏
They're virtue signaling anti-American useful idiots.
I’m watching y’all at work and busting out laughing at your reactions. It’s priceless.
Female Friday!! Love it so much! Check out Terry Clark.."I wanna do it all". She has the hat and the boots...a bit of twang...Def a 90s vibe🙂
Natalie Mains can sing any song ever written & sound amazing.
Unfortunately Natalie needs to stick with singing. Insulting a sitting president on national television is really pretty stupid. As they came to find out.
@@thomasrocker7408 die mad about it.
@@christinehanson7579 Wonderful response. A comment from 18 years ago, opposing a war started for bogus reasons. SMDH
@@thomasrocker7408 She did that at a concert in London in 2003. She said they were against the war in iraq and they were ashamed that the President was from Texas. Because of the backlash they didn't tour again until 2010. She knew if she did that in the U.S. they might get booed off stage.
@@thomasrocker7408 that was so long ago get over it damn.
"Not Ready to Make Nice" is, IMO, their BEST song, love The Chicks!! They dropped "Dixie" in order to be more racially sensitive, so there's that.
You want banjo? Try the Steve-'n'-Seagulls cover of AC DC's *Thunderstruck*
Please do
The group started out as Dixie Chicks, but a couple of years ago decided to go by just "The Chicks"
This song is a legit masterpiece.
That whole situation pissed me off. It's George Bush. If you supported him then you had some major issues.
@@John_Locke_108 , indeed. The blind patriotism was awful. We let our leaders do some atrocious stuff for revenge.....to the wrong people.
Another great country song “long black train” by Josh turner his voice is so deep and amazing!
Their renditions of "Landslide" and "Travelin Soldier" are beautiful.
Take a look/listen to The Chicks' "Not Ready to Make Nice" - it's their comeback song after all the crap they took from Country Radio. (The were The Dixie Chicks, but changed to The Chicks to remove the 'old South' connotation of Dixie.)
PLEASE DO MORE CHICKS!!! They are EPIC!!! Emily is a hell of a banjo player!!
I’m Not Ready To Make Nice is a great Chicks song.
One of my favorites and it was in response to the threats they received after their comments on George Bush.
That song is so pwerful, and moves me close to tears every time. I still don't understand why she was so viciously attacked when so many people who were opposed to the "new" war said the same or worse. Here is what she said, scandalous
..."As Maines was introducing the Chicks' then-latest single, "Travelin' Soldier," she said, "Just so you know, we're on the good side with y'all.
You done brought out Amber's country side. XD Damn right this is So. Southern.
Gotta do "March March", by The Chicks (official video). Powerful, and relevant to the times.
Their best song is Traveling Soldier. They were all great musicians. They were ahead of their time being celebrities that said something stupid that pissed off all their fans.
Nothing stupid with hating bush
I don't know if they said something stupid they stated their opinion I may or and may not agree with them but I thought to USA wit was a free country where you can speak your mind not anymore I guess
If you want banjo then react to "Sweet City Woman" by The Stampeders.
Oh damn yes indeed.
YES! They're so good. More of The Chicks. Specifically, "Not Ready to Make Nice"
