Wonderful to listen to, and thank you for mentioning the pure souls that animals are. It pains me so much that billions of animals are killed every single day to be unnecessarily consumed. So much suffering we inflict on animals. It really hurts the heart to live in a world that treats animals like inanimate objects.
This has to be taught from very young age that all livings animated or non-animated (plants) have souls (living force). Symptom of life is the evidence of the present of soul (growing, breathing, moving, having by-products). Animal killing, meat eating results a very heavy karma. So as to abortions and using contraceptive.
Even non-animated objects have to be used with respect as God has provided us ( furniture comes from the living- trees, leather comes from animal...) Spiritual life means follow the highest law/ God' s law/Nature law of action and reaction,cause and effect. God the creator is the Knower of all our activities.
Dr. Eben Alexander's experience showed human consciousness "collapses the wave function" to create "hard reality." Our consciousness is a work of cocreation, a concept that continually popped up in my poetry, seemingly out of thin air. Our bodies are mortal, but our spirit is Immortal--Then I discovered my poetry was Gnostic, but I had not known what Gnosticism was about. I wish some people did not care to respond here. They are so negative about their reviews that I am discouraged to smile back at the wonderfully wonderful message shared by Eben.
Westerns have a crazy look out sometimes except for a certain group of ppl. May be that's the reason Eben is sitting here in India and sharing this.

This is what my docters think of, that there's only a mind. They don't fully understand the concept of this when I try to explain it to them. I'm an epileptic, had brain surgery that opened up more of my conscience. Yet, explaining this to them they don't get it. They wish to give me more meds assuming otherwise do to what they are taught in school. There's allot more to my history they are not aware of. Or care to look in to.
It's better not to frustrate yourself with people who can't understand. The whole area of near death experiences is widespread now. Stick with people who know, and appreciate, where you're coming from. The people who understand where you're coming from can give you a frame of reference, and can help you grow.
I really enjoy listening to this beautiful kind knowledgeable man, he was one of the first nde stories I ever heard! Wow have I came along way from that time. It really helped me get to even acknowledge that the religion I had been taught and been lied to about was so far from the real truth of who we really are! Although at that time I needed that religion to help me in so many hard times I was and been going thru most of my life. But deep down inside I had that knowing that it wasn’t the real deal,especially the part of a loving God that would throw me into a burning hell forever because I had sinned! Eben is a very great soul I think..because infinite divine able to give him some power to understand real infinity and eternity after that send back him to earth..to change the rude peoples behaviour on this little dimension.
Understand that rock is soft and not hard. Our divine is always inside the rock and strong winds cannot blow up the rock.
He perfectly describes my childhood growing up in Lynchburg during the 60s explosion of peace, love and happiness,in other words sex,drugs and rock and roll!I became a musician in order to never lose that feeling that I experienced as a child and now,I can allow others to enter that space thru music that I lived through .I returned to the place he talks about in 1975 when I raised the kundalini by accident and he is telling the truth.Bill Maher,whom I love ,makes fun of Eben but he is telling it like it is.Peace and love to all,you will experience love when you cross over.

He is from my home town I believe,a name so evil ,I shan't even utter it's name,but I have had an experience called ,"Raising the Kundalini" and became a musician to express this beauty I felt that day and the wonderful 60s experience that I lived through.Now,at 66,I'm about ready to go back,be recharged with love,take a new body and drop by down for another round of birth/death/reincarnation.Love.
There is a great difference between a brain-based explanation of what a person can experience and a quantum-leap of interpretations of a quantum-mechanical god, a deity of love accompanied by all of the usual liturgy that accompanies a very sick (at the time) Christian.
Your after death experience is absolutely true,there is no doubt that you have seen a reality.Actually this physical world is a big false dream.We dont have to do anything with this world.After realization of our soul,this worlds reality came to us as a big cheat.We are just a pure soul.
One of the greatest books on spirituality that explains everything is "Autobiography of a yogi" by Yogananda. IT is a must read for any spiritual aspirant.

He may tell you these things: let things go, hold no grudges, turn negatives thoughts to positive thoughts then actions. Train yourself to embrace the people places things and situations that you now dread. What you resist persists - don't procrastinate. Meditate.

I have a sincere question to ask. I believe that all animals have souls and I count humans as being animals as well. I am a biology major and through studying biology I've learned that plants communicate with each other through chemical messages. this leads me to ask the question do plants have souls as well?
Animals are sentient beings too. Here to experience based on past karma. different level of experience than human beings.

I don't agree with some of his "higher metaphysics" notions, but no doubt we'll see our pets later on. He's a really good guy and tells some amazing accounts of his experiences, I bet you'd enjoy it too.
Animals mostly have group souls. Humans also have that kind of soul, but it is a little more individualized because we have a self-identity that lower lifeforms don't necessarily have. Animals that develop a self-identity, such as pets, hold onto their identity after death.

I believe in god after life evolution
A Doctor (Scientist in theory), turned Pastor. "Go home people, don't come to my hospital or practice, I will pray for you and all will be well because I have found the key to your consciousness and you will go to heaven thanks to me". "I will do my best to save you , but if you die I can guarantee that you will be in heaven." Not very reassuring for a Doctor if you ask me. One of the reasons why I will not show up at his practice.

Read Vedanta and Upanishads. It is probably closest to the truth. It says that the infinite (God) can be reached by infinite ways and on the highest level of reality we and God are one. There is no separate God or universal consciousness apart from you. It is of the nature of sat chit ananda - existence consciousness bliss.
Everything described by Dr Eben is already written in vivid detail in Shrimad Bhagvatam--vedic literature. No religious or scientific or philosophical system even comes close to details in vedic literature.
