The shower scene!!!! Lmao you are too iconic for this 😂🤭 I was dying hahaha I love it! Also I love the choice to have this whole vlog in black and white, it’s so moody and creates the perfect atmosphere! 🥰😍
Expiration dates are usually the last day they promise the product is still good, not a hard and fast rule. If they haven't gone fuzzy or really squishy, strawberries are still good. Btw, if you have the room, you can spread them out on a metal tray in the freezer, then bag them up when they freeze.
The effort and comedy it takes to recreate that shower scene is above and beyond. I will never understand why you don’t have like 10 million subscribers I can’t believe I get this premium content for free😊
THE SCREAMS YOU SCRUMPT DURING THE SHOWER SCENE HAHAHAH. also omg The Birds is one of my favorite old horror movies & had no idea there's a book nor the fact that it's written by Daphne du Maurier! look at you educating us all. ope teehee that's my face 😇
Watched Psycho on Friday night with my oldest kid and was blown away by how well it has aged and how damn effective it still is. Really want to read the book now.
If your strawberries are about to go bad again (or any fruit/veg) just stick them in the freezer! You’ll save them that way, and they’re even better for making frozen drinks or smoothies.
The Amityville Horror House is still standing too - I grew up 10 minutes from it. A family lives there so you can’t go in or anything but it’s in a regular neighborhood so you can see it from the street.
You never have to get over strawberries Gav, they are one of the best things to eat. Fun fact 8 strawberries have more vitamin C than an orange. They're low in sugar and calories, and have lots of fiber, potassium and manganese.
This was fantastic 🎉 That shower scene!? Iconic. The only books I have read from this are The Exorcist and The Amityville Horror, but it was back when I was a kid/tween. You've made me want to read them again and I definitely need to read Psycho!
I’ve had the worst 2 days and new you were uploading today I’m so glad I get to watch your video when I’m literally in such a bad mood bc you always make me smile 🥰💗
I have to say I thoroughly enjoy the videos on this channel. I started watching when the first one piece video dropped and I said I’d follow along for the one piece vids. Since then I have watched pretty much every video that has dropped some of them multiple times. One of my favourite channels to sit and watch.
Also for your sugar syrup you can make some yourself for cheaper and so long as you use a bottle that has been cleaned properly and a ratio of 2 parts sugar to one part water it’ll last for so long
Love this video! I agree with your opinion of the Exorcist. I found the movie waaaay freaky deaky, then the book. The Birds...oh such an iconic classic. I live by Lake Erie in Ohio, and a few weeks ago the biggest flock of seagulls were circling above my neighborhood. I told my hubby if crows start coming we are out! Great vlog.
The Birds was actually a favorite of mine too. The playground scene was actually filmed near where my dad lived as a kid. He took us there after making us watch the movie when we were little. I definitely need to pick up the story because I didn’t know it was a book.
I Love “ The Birds” We found it unintentionally funny. Especially the scene where the kids get attacked and, a girl has a bird plastered to her forehead 😂 Who would have thought 🤔 If Tippy Hedren had just a packet of Arrnott’s Scotch Finger biscuits she wouldn’t have had a problem with the birds 😂 Hey! it works for us with Magpies & Lorikeets here in 🇦🇺🤷🏻♀️😂✌️
Gavin... I love you but as a Long Island native, it's pronounced Am-ih-tee-vil. And don't worry, locals consider the books/movies a cash grab too. I appreciate both films, but the true crime story attached to that property is more interesting (and sad). So too are the publication and production stories surrounding the book/movies and the paranormal investigations they inspired. There are some weird elements to both, for sure, but no one thinks the Amityville House is actually haunted and multiple owners since the 1970s have confirmed they've never had issues living there except for curiosity-seekers trying to peek through the windows. Since you love true crime and paranormal investigations I recommend engaging with that side of the story. That Psycho shower scene reenactment was *chef's kiss*!!! Very poetic that the first 3 stories referenced the ones you read/watched previously. As always, Ash and Tobu are adorable, and I love that they have a neighborhood kitty friend stopping by. 🥰 (Edited for typos)
Omg EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. You push out banger after banger. I’m starting to think there must be a team of people behind this channel. Like how do you do it????? 🤔
Absolutely loved the shower scene! I should definitely read The Birds, though I already get jumpy around them so it may just destroy me paranoia wise. I haven’t seen it in a bit, but the Amittyville remake I remember being more like intense than the original and Ryan Reynolds definitely gets like way scarier than the dad in the original
With all the wind, now you need to watch The Happening by M. Knight S. 😂 I first saw The Birds in high school for a servey cinema class and we were all laughing and out teacher was like, "how? This movie used to terrify me when i was your age!" Lol
This really sets the vibe for the start of spooky season!! I was actually never interested in reading these books even though i do love the horror genre, but after watching this, if i can get my hands on any of these through the library or charity shop I’m absolutely picking them up!!
Love Daphne Du Maurier's The Birds! I wish the movie had been more like the short story! Still love the movie but think it would have been very creepy if it stayed true to her version. Great video and makes me want to do it too for myself. :)
The number of times in my life that I've had a neck ache and wished I could just Exorcist spin it around to make it feel better is so high my dude. So high. Also, if you're interested in true crime there are a bunch of books about the mass murder that happened in the Amityville house of the DeFeo family. As always your skits, creativity, and the amount of work you put into these videos is A+ tier and we truly do not deserve you.
Gavin this has nothing to do with the books, but I love that your kitty has a mustache! Squee what a dapper kitty 😅❤🐱🐈⬛💜💜🐾 I actually own the Exorcist book, I think I bought it at a "Friends of the Library" sale - used to get major book hauls from those. Oh the nostalgia 😊 Happy spooky season! Can't wait for your next Stephen King video! 🧡🖤🧡🖤
I love the film Psycho! And it is interesting that the book starts with Norman Bates before it all. Cut off the scream and her head!! It's much more gory in the book and it is interesting to see that it happens so soon. I was more attached to her character in the books. Okay, so I kind of want to read pyscho now, also knowing it is short as well and an easy read. Cackling at your turning the head around the whole way edit hahaha. I love the film for the exorcist! I added the exorcist on to my tbr after first watching it... but it sounds like it might have too much clinical language in it and talk around whether she is possessed or not and I would get bored :/ Daphne du maurier is such a beautiful writer and I truly love her gothic stories. I haven't read the birds and that stories collection but I do want to read it myself as well. It sounds like the book gets right to it and sets the atmosphere immediately. And it is interesting that this time around the adaption is so different! This was such a fun vlog!
The editing and production quality of your videos are amazing ✨ That shower scene cracked me up, but it’s also super accurate haha! 😂 I haven’t read any of these books but I’d love to read psycho someday, I love the movie so much. I just found a really cool red faux leather copy of Bram Stokers Dracula at a local thrift store so I will be reading that first ☺️ Ps. Those strawberry daiquiri’s look so good!
I have to agree with you on your opinion of the books versus the movies. I grew up watching all four of these movies and loving them in varying degrees. I read "The Birds" and also watched it for Engilsh class back in either late middle school or early high school. The rest of the books, I didn't end up reading until I was an adult out on my own. So, it felt different and a tad underwhelming when reading the books versus watching the movies. Still didn't stop me from finding and owning an early published hardback as well as the 40th edition hardback of "The Exorcist".
I'm not sure about how food is processed in the UK but I know in the states expiry dates are more suggestions than anything else. I know there are people who will never eat or drink anything after the date on the container but like fat free milk is good for up to a week after it's "expiration"
@@GavinReadsItAll yeah, most expiry dates are "sell by" dates for stores, not "eat by or die" dates haha Also, instead of throwing the fresh ones out, you could always cut them up and freeze them so you don't have to buy frozen ones next time!
Can I just that shower scene was hilarious! I couldn't stop laughing. 😄 I have seen all the movies and only read The Birds. The bad part for me is because I was raised on horror I will probably have seen the movie before I read the book, this is how it is with pretty much every Stephen King book or short story. Psycho--I love this movie and back when it premiered it was unheard of to kill off the main character right at the beginning. I think that's part of what scared people when watching it because it meant no one was safe. I am glad that the movie was pretty true to the book except I don't think they could do beheadings back then, I mean they used like corn syrup or whatever to make it look like blood in the shower because the movie was black and white. The Exorcist--It didn't scare me, but my mom and her two sisters went to see this in the theaters. Lot of hype on how scary that people left the theater, fainted or barfed. Of course my mom and her sisters just laughed when watching especially when Regan projectile vomited because it looked like split pea soup. Again, my family was raised on horror so this wasnt scary to them. Amityville Horror--Saw both movies, not that scary, but as for the book I think some of it is true and some of it was fabricated. I love Ed and Lorraine Warren, rest their souls, but I am not chancing to take a foot inside that house. That house is scary and ominous looking even during the day time, I'll take my chances at Winchester House. I really do think the house is haunted and , yes, a man really killed his entire family in that house, but I don't know about demons. The Birds--What I love is the difference between the story and the movie. Yes, definitely can see where inspiration was taken from the story especially finding that farmer guy. In the movie that was the scariest part was when the older woman found the farmer dead and they didna close up on his face. I was little when I saw this movie, which, it didn't scare me because I thought, well, it could happen because we're so mesn and cruel to animals and their environment I wouldn't blame them for attacking us. My mom is actually scared of this movie and only scared of birds when they're grouped together. I loved both in this situation. Just to note loved that you kept it in black and white. Can't wait for more! Truly appreciate it! Don't know if you're willing to read Edgar Allen Poe and then watch a lot of Vincent Price movies because he starred in a lot of Poe's adaptations. 😊🩷🩷🩷

when they announce your name at the Oscars for best actor... remember to thank your viewers. That shower scene will be remembered for generations.
Watched Psycho on Friday night with my oldest kid and was blown away by how well it has aged and how damn effective it still is. Really want to read the book now.
You should read Jamaica Inn whilst visiting the Jamaica Inn! Paranormal Gav coming out to play again! 😊😂
As someone who grew up being told that demons and possession is very real, The Exorcist, was terrifying for me.
If your strawberries are about to go bad again (or any fruit/veg) just stick them in the freezer! You’ll save them that way, and they’re even better for making frozen drinks or smoothies.

Loved the iconic shower scene🤣 And loved it that you did the vlog in black and white, it really fits the atmosphere of the old horror movies.
This whole thing was a cinematic masterpiece. The shower scene, the black and white, the hunky Ryan clip. ✨art✨
I love all the work and creativity you put into your videos! Such a perfect vlog to start the spooky season. 👻
Am wearing my Exorcist movie poster shirt at this very moment and pointed at the book cover like that one Leo DiCaprio meme.

I love Daphne Du Marier and I was so surprised by how much I loved The Birds as a short story! She's truly amazing
The shower scene 😂😂 Gavin, that was iconic!
Looks like The Amityville Horror is in print on this side of the pond.
Wouldn't surprise me if it's less in demand in other countries.
The production values on this one! Incredible.
39:04 oh no look out Gavin 🤣
Also, the exorcist was based on a true story of Roland Doe's exorcism from the 40s!
I remember reading The Amityville Horror as a kid, my mom had the paperback. I loved it! lol
