First time I've tried one of your tutorials. Thank you for your generosity in sharing this knowledge. Really appreciate the clear way you teach.
I learn more from youtube than I do in a class room. I don't have to ask da teacher to repeat him or her self just rewind the vid. You're the best.
love your tutorials!!! you make it so simple to follow along and you seem to do most of these in under 10min. thanks so much for the effort you put into these for us!!

Matri Please explain how you can work for explanations like Video program Techsmith Camtasia Studio
I haven't used Photoshop since college, but I would like to get back into editing and creating. Is there a particular version of Photoshop or Illustrator, Lightroom, etc. I would need to create a woodcut file like you've demonstrated?
You can do this on most versions of Photoshop.
It is Just Amazing .Thanks for Video
Excellent video. Would love to have an option to the transcript, Is that possible to do. You are so precise in your descriptions! Thanks
+Helene Guertin Email me at bluelightningtv(at)gmail(dot)com. I'll send you the transcript. Remind me that it's for the woodcut.
its so helpful tutorial.. thank you
thank you for the brilliant video
Thank you, master!
Marty, is that Blueberry Screen Capture software. I use the Standard on Win 7 and it looks exactly like your video cursor and additions/inserts. On Mac I use QT Pro.
kellyjdrummer I'm using Techsmith Camtasia Studio
Is cool, thanks you
hi so if you save the pic does it move when you look at it
I know this tutorial is an older upload, but I was just curious… is there any particular reason why you have said to use the Pencil tool to paint white instead of the Brush tool? Or is it simply your preference, maybe? I've rarely used the Pencil tool in favor of the Brush tool, myself, so if there is a reason, I'd be interested in knowing it.
When I want sharp edges, I prefer the pencil tool. When I want softer edges, I'll opt for the brush tool.
Thank you!
Really cool !!
That was amazing
Great job and looks nice. God bless now
Nice one Marty
very very nice .. thank you .
Hey very nice tutorial!
I have a question, do i get all rights for a created picture with this technice when i use an image from the internet?
Marty, Hi! I like your calm tone of voice and you don't move to fast. I love your key instructions. I've only worked a little with Photoshop but would like to create an image base on an organic photo (nature) and make it look as if a wood carver did it. Is that possible? Thanks for any help!
+Jacqueline Stigman It depends on the specific characteristics of the image you're thinking of. The methods probably would be similar to those this tutorial.
+Blue Lightning TV Thanks Marty! What I'd like to create is the look of a more 3 dimensional wood carving. Of say vines, leaves, flowers...Like some carvings on antique French wood furniture. Possible? Thank you for being here!
+Jacqueline Stigman It's an idea that I may explore in a future tutorial. It may be too illustrative, however.
Excelente. Obrigado.
Thank you so much is very very simle for tutorial
bello grazie
Awesome! thank you!
This is cool but could I do this with dark wood?
Blue Lightning TV Hey marty, i really like your videos and they are very helpful, i was wondering if you could do a 'how to make some a zombie' tutorial, im working on a project and it would be very helpful, thanks in advace
I am using Photoshop Elements 2018. I was following your Instructions until I got to the part about Select Color Range. It is not there! Can you tell where to go from here?
Thanks in advance
John.
Sorry, don't know. I never used Elements.
Marty, which version of Photoshop would you consider the best? I work with elements 11, and when following your tutorials, I sometimes lack tools used in the video. Is there a version better than the rest? Thanks
Each new version that's made available is generally better than the previous version. At I write this, the newest version is "CC 2014" and it's available by subscription for $9.99 p/month at Adobe Creative Cloud.
Great tut - thank you!! :)))
I'm working on learning this using CS6. When I click on Bevel and Imposs, I dont get the Inner Bevel options in the menu. Am I missing something?
Nevermind, I figured it out, user error. If you just click on the box nothing changes, you have to click on the words too.
thanks lot sir.
I love it!👍🏽👍🏽🍸
good~ it helps me a lot~tq
Hello
l am enjoying your channel , l have a request !
Can you please make us a tutorial for The Human Torch ?
Thanks in advance !
would there be any specific reason that i can not drag the picture to the other tab where the wood is at.
The layer may be locked. Another way of placing onto the other document is to press Ctrl + A to select it...Ctrl + C to copy. Then, open the other document and press Ctrl + V to paste it.
thanks too much for ur lesson !!
Any chance of doing a video on making a 3-D nerlinger pattern for laser engraving?
lol.
@@BLTV_Photoshop why LOL coral draw can do it can't photo shop?
Where can I download some brushes?
Nice technique. Thanks for sharing.
But, to be honest, I expected something the other. (but I don not know why)
I expected this technique was the preparing part for making a file with a G-code so that one can make a "carved" copy of it with a 3D-router/carver.
Is it possible to do this?
Probably not.
That is a pity. One cannot have everything. Thank you for your quick answer.
super!!!
Thank you.
which artist uses this similar technique
Hi. I would like to say thanks to you spending time to make the movie. Could You Please teach me how to carve photo into leaf in photoshop cs6? Thanks in advance! I 'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thanks again
It would be essentially the same technique. Just lower the amounts for the bevel /emboss.
@@BLTV_Photoshop .Thanks so much. I love your movies so much. Thanks for your spending time to make movies and also thanks for replying to me. Many Thanks.
Ok thanks
Marty, and glass etching videos like this?
Where are the project files located? I want to try this technique!
Whenever you want to find the links to the files that I use in a tutorial, please go to the video's description, which is below the title of the video. Click "Show More" and scroll down. You will see all the info, as well as links to all the files that I use.
Another great tutorial for me to use for making a photo I want to give to a friend.

With your photo open, press Ctrl + A to select it...Ctrl + C to copy. Open the wood texture and press Ctrl + V to paste your photo onto the wood texture.
Yeah it works thanks man you are great👍
Please make an Tutorial on "How to make a wood engraving from a photo" ? Not woodcut - woodcut and wood engraving both are separate not combine both have 3-5 differences.
Thanks a lot
