    I know this tutorial is an older upload, but I was just curious… is there any particular reason why you have said to use the Pencil tool to paint white instead of the Brush tool? Or is it simply your preference, maybe? I've rarely used the Pencil tool in favor of the Brush tool, myself, so if there is a reason, I'd be interested in knowing it.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  7 років тому

      When I want sharp edges, I prefer the pencil tool. When I want softer edges, I'll opt for the brush tool.

    Marty, Hi! I like your calm tone of voice and you don't move to fast. I love your key instructions. I've only worked a little with Photoshop but would like to create an image base on an organic photo (nature) and make it look as if a wood carver did it. Is that possible? Thanks for any help!

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  8 років тому

      +Jacqueline Stigman It depends on the specific characteristics of the image you're thinking of. The methods probably would be similar to those this tutorial.

    • @jacquelinestigman6432
      @jacquelinestigman6432 8 років тому

      +Blue Lightning TV Thanks Marty! What I'd like to create is the look of a more 3 dimensional wood carving. Of say vines, leaves, flowers...Like some carvings on antique French wood furniture. Possible? Thank you for being here!

    • @BLTV_Photoshop

    • @BLTV_Photoshop

      Each new version that's made available is generally better than the previous version. At I write this, the newest version is "CC 2014" and it's available by subscription for $9.99 p/month at Adobe Creative Cloud.

    Nice technique. Thanks for sharing.
    But, to be honest, I expected something the other. (but I don not know why)
    I expected this technique was the preparing part for making a file with a G-code so that one can make a "carved" copy of it with a 3D-router/carver.
    Is it possible to do this?
