I worked as an Amazon delivery driver in 2019 and yes it was common for me to find pee bottles that others forgot to throw away. And getting fired was as easy as a customer saying they didn’t get their package or if we keep bringing back returns because sometimes businesses were close at 5 PM and we couldn’t deliver their package so we had to bring it back and it was always our fault when in reality they put the business deliveries at the end of our shift. And they made it nearly impossible for us to get raises we had to hit a certain deadline or of packages delivered with no issues and perfect driving score which is hard in itself because a computer is monitoring your driving and if you brake harder than it likes Then it hits you with a point.

Then I think even automation will not help relieve in long term. End is near for society. Society is collapsing I think.

I was an amazon delivery driver for about a year, I confirm everything you said about draining every drop of sweat from us, absolutely exagerated efforts are demanded for what they pay us. You clearly see they want to push you to the very limit, I currently deliver about 300 parcels per day at approx. 220 different locations. Gets paid about 0.40$ per parcel after doing the math.
They give zero fucks about their employees, often asked me to work over 10 days in a row, trying to give lots of availabilities, coming in on day offs, & after all of this they won’t even agree to give me a dollar extra per hour, (supposed to be +1$ every 6 months). This is my last week and they still asked me to work 7 days in a row.. this company is a joke. If you work there currently I feel sorry for you.

I work for amazon and all the practices you described are spot on. It's a modern day slave plantation. The amount of crazy shit that goes on in the fulfillment center is that of a full blown dystopia. There is harassment against pro union workers and managers who don't resist the union are getting dropped very fast. It is chilling at how evil the system is and how many leaders who work there are either covering their eyes to avoid cognitive dissonance or they are full blown sociopaths that love to impose suffering on their warehouse laborers.

"The real question is: What is fuelling this empire?" Well, the answer is an obvious one. It is the consumer who has the final say in where they consume and spend their money. I avoid Amazon at any cost and have found that retailers and other online businesses are generally happy to match their prices. The way I look at it is if I wouldn't want to work there, then I won't spend there. In general, I keep my consumption of material objects at a minimum and replace what is broken rather than what is "outdated."

You barely scratched the surface of the driver rabbit hole. I’ve been working as a driver for over a year now. Amazon intentionally segregates us into groups called DSP’s (delivery service provider) and these groups are contracted for a time period and often these contracts are cut with little to no warnings prior (I had about 2 weeks of work before I was jobless). The drivers generally are unaware of this knowledge until it’s too late…. This happened to my DSP while we were breaking records for safety at our station.
Also unfortunately yes I can 100% confirm we pee in bottles, there aren’t usually many gas stations my route passes, and they never built any function in for bathroom breaks which you’d think would be obvious solution??? There’s much more I could talk about but I’d be writing all day.

@@devinfraserashpole4753 The thing is, if you asked this question, then I should answer in a proper way without dodging.
So is the innocent? Well, there's literally no definition of innocence. And no I don't mean a dictionary definition. The thing is, everything is beyond good and evil so to speak. We live in a structuralist world where there's no objective reality, each person has their view of the world depending on how they process it.
And that is indeed nihilism, structuralism, and postmodernism. And I do believe in those concepts.
But according to most people's view of "innocence", no he is not. But again, there's nothing as good or bad at the end of the day. We humans have to do what we need to do, and when we get all that we need those needs advance to be wants. Just like ants, we build empires and the queen is usually the one that inherits the kingdom's chair or works its way up there either by luck or by utilizing others. Is that ant evil? No, but its nature suggests that. Same with us, it's just a little different depending on how evolution happened to be.

I’ve been working at Amazon since I graduated. And when I first started to work there covid hit so everyone told me Amazon at the time was actually a lot more relaxed then previous years. They told me if you didn’t meet rates 2 work periods in a row security would actually escort you out take your badge and you were just fired no questions asked. Now even though this wasn’t the case anymore when I first started. Every period the managers would come to every wall and basically gives us a rundown on our rates if we were under performing or “doing what was expected”.
Now I used to work the graveyard shift from 6:30pm-7:00am. Now something to touch on the ridiculous breaks. Yes all of the breaks were only 30 minutes and they were extremely strict on not going over that. So you realistically only have a 15 minute break. Because you have to walk halfway across the building to get to break. Then you have to warm up your food of course. But mind you your whole department is on break too so it’s at least 100 people and theres only about 16 microwaves. And on top of this my god I hated this. The microwaves were terrible maybe it was because it was so many microwaves in one area but you had to warm up your food for a minimum of 3 minutes to get your food hot. Anything less than that it was basically just rotating under a light emitting no heat just straight inertia to warm it up( sarcasm but this is what I like to think). So now you could finally eat. But swear to god you have to speed eat it. Because like I said averaging the time you only have about 15 minutes by the time your done walking to break and warming up your food.
Now a ridiculous story I have during peak season about break is we used to take naps because they’d work us to death. But during 2021 idk why but they actually banned us from taking naps. Mind you we work a night shift we were already tired from that unhealthy lifestyle on top of all the work we were forced to do. So me and my work friends would legit lay on the floor (ik probably nasty or whatever but we really didn’t care we were so beat) and try to nap but the managers who aren’t even on the same break schedule as us would come in there and force us to get up. And say things along the lines of. “If I can’t lay down and sleep then you can’t” but the managers at Amazon don’t do shit. There’s a select few but it’s mainly the PA’s who do the hard work.
Moral of the story I’m questioning why I’m still working there. If you plan on working there. Because of a bonus or something. Get your money and get out. Amazon or Beff Jezoz doesn’t care about you.

I worked in a really shitty company once where they had their eyes on me almost constantly. This was because my direct line manager, didn't like me for whatever reasons it might be and all the "gaslighting" and constant berating from her made me very self conscious and question my career choices and my skill set. I didn't realize I was in that zombie mode, going through some form of mental breakdown until friends and family members pointed it out and I quit, just a week before lockdown. Long story short, I got a good job now and rebuilding my career once again.
Anyway, as much as I went through, I feel being an Amazon employee must be way worse. I notice that American based companies when they branch out to "cheaper" countries, they tend to be a hell lot more bureaucratic and lack the chill that their European counterparts have and this is with experience working with the Germans. I'm sure there are American companies that care about work life balance but amazon isn't one of them for sure.

It's why they're working hard to eliminate masculinity - they don't want men to be able to ever become a "threat" to them. So, you "celebrate" single motherhood, which, almost always leads to a son who will become a pushover beta male. BETA males will then take the abuse that the corporations will push on them, as, they see their only way to ever become powerful themselves, is by bowing to the demands of the corporation. This is why you have so many beta male millenails and genzers that 'look the other way' when topics about corporate accountability come up - because - that's their only ticket to play. The deep psychological exploitation via the breakup of the intact family is often misunderstood, but, if one is willing to peel the onion back far enough - it's evident whom the beneficiaries always seem to be: Corporations and Gov't. LOL: I Love how corporations push this whole "We have an open door" "we want your feedback" "we care about you" "we're like FAMILY"

Worked at ring before and after the acquisition of Amazon, when Amazon bought ring there policies are absolutely insane, for a call center that was tech support we had metrics to hit that were damn near impossible, at the end of the call the customers were given a survey, in the survey it asked 3 questions. One of the questions though is a make it or break it for you. It asks if you solved the customers issue..alot of the time the issues I had were with things or curcumstances out of my and my managers control to be fixed in a 14 min bare minimum phone call. So when people would say no there issue wasn't solved and they would explain why 9/10 times they stated it wasn't my fault that I was great and helped the best I could. Unfortunately because they said no its still a hit on my metric so I would constantly be talked to, or written up for having a low resolution score. Also there time off policy is shit, pto is shit just about everything was shit, working there made me more depressed and an alcoholic than my time in the military..

working at ring is not a career or a small business owned by you. I would have seen that experience as a fun joke, smiling as I am being written up, just to see how corportocracy works. the goal would be to LEARN from the job, not to actually care, BUT to build skills and then poof, vanish and keep growing till you figure it out (how to make it in some industry).

Amazon tracking is broken down for stowing associate's: tak time (number in seconds from last item stowed), stow rate (number of items placed into pods), number of hours worked at station (bathrooms are at times one toilet stall w/ one urinal), break time is also monitored for every employee and must be timed accordingly in order to avoid warnings that can lead to documented written warnings.

    • @alexisdominguez3133
      @alexisdominguez3133 Рік тому

Written warnings are given for many different variables: quality, productivity, attendance, and behavior. When given a written warning, it lasts for 30 days, get a second and it last 60 days, third written warning is called a final written and lasts 90 days, after that it's termination. This is coming from me, a Amazon area manager that is currently looking to change jobs away from Amazon.

I a 24 year old had never used Amazon until a few months ago. The first time I went to use it, I accidentally entered in my cards expiration date wrong some how so I fixed it doubled checked it, clicked pay, I was then banned from the site and not just my card it was my name, card, and address to prevent me from making another account of any sort. The only reason I can think of is since I tried to make the transaction twice even if it was correct the second time it triggered their fraud protection. I then called three separate times and not one Amazon employee could help all three would say “aw man that’s crazy let me get on this…”. I would get transferred to several employees every call be put on hold for hours for them to every time come back and say I had to give them a utility bill with my cards payment on it to prove it was me which I questioned every time why AMAZON needed a personal utility bill to prove it was me when not even a bank would require such crap to approve flagged transactions. They’re disgustingly abusive of there power.

      Those days are over.
Anyone using weapons of mass destruction to wipe out the middle class will do it again and again.

I was murdered by a woman in NY State. She used 5G a weapon hidden in a telecommunications system. She wasn’t connected to any power instead a chronic psychiatric patient and serial stalker, cooperate thief and saboteur.
This obviously is a war crime, torture and murder.
The knowledge of operating this lethal technology damaged the brains of hundreds of CIA employees and killed one ( known) . FBI agents senators and other government officials were also attacked with this radioactive known oscillation technology.
Everyone and everything is expendable to the persons I was murdered by…..
