So surprising and sad Alaska would change her mind so quick. In interview with Maddy she said she would go back, and joked she’d pretend to quit her podcast with Willam to be on again, then go back once the show wrapped. But then again Bob once said she wouldn’t do all winners, until she saw Monet on it. I’d love to see both on.

Right, the world of drag doesn't revolve around Rupaul's Dragrace/World of Wonder. Seems some people are more a fan of Dragrace than drag.

No shade but like come on production was at peak with AS1 and AS2 cast cause was a big enough gap fill in spots for AS.
They only invite stars to the competition in the first place. All Stars obviously just means returning queens, not new ones. There has yet to be an All Stars that I haven't enjoyed and far more queens get featured by doing it this way.
Especially with Global All Stars coming this year. They should at least alternate between All Stars and Global All Stars.

I think having All Stars every year is ruining that franchise. It should be every 3 to 4 years with big names coming back and a few surprise castings.
Fact, having all stars is every year isn't special, to me it's just another season.

to be fair, several winners have made different statements at different times about returning for an All Winners. i feel like Bob brought it up a lot on the pit stop or other places, but recently said on Exposed (w Joseph Shepherd) that he would've done the first season but now the timing's just wrong. i also remember Violet & Priyanka entertaining the idea on the pit stop, but again maybe that was just for comedic purposes. Trixie & Katya definitely said they'd never come back and they have always maintained that position which absolutely makes sense.

Maddy said on her recent pit stop episode that she definitely wants to come back for AS and seeing how popular she has become post DR, I think it’s only a matter of time before she returns. I would love to see Utica come back and it’s a crime Kelly still has not been asked back.
For season 16, Plasma, Amanda, and Mirage for sure I can see coming back and depending on who wins, all of the top 5 I can definitely see coming back. Would love to see Megami back but with her cosplay drag on full display.

B, if they do a Drag Race Asia I can see Kim Chi either hosting or guest hosting. WOW really needs to do sumn w the rights they bought for the SE Asia countries they got bc I'm tired of waiting for my fave kpop stars to make guest appearances on the show. It's eventually gonna happen and I'm already screaming/living for it. 🙌🏿

I could also see them casting Bebe for All Winners 2. Envy Peru is a wild card, as she is one of the most fierce winners ever, but so far hasn't been in the spotlight like Priyanka or Lawrence. I'm secretly hoping that all the praise she gets online would be enough for producers to invite her. But maybe Bebe is more likely to be cast than Envy.
Bebe was quite mediocre on All Stars 3, a season where she was up against Queens who all lost their seasons.
I highly doubt they’d ask her to come back against actual winners.
Save that spot for someone like Envy, Icesis, Spankie etc.

I would love if Maddy or Delta came back for an improv episode, where the contestants had to basically be on mini-versions of Give It To Me Straight/Very Delta.

I don't think it's the competition that Violet is worried about if she returned since she slays, it's the sensitive fans. If they were upset with her or hated her now, that means she would need to watch anything she says because those fans would have a magnifying glass on her. That in itself is exhausting.

Porkchop has made a brand out of being the very first out. If she came back she risks messing with that brand. So many people know her when they don't know all the other queens from the early seasons. She gets referenced in international versions for whoever gets eliminated first so everyone knows Porkchop. She'd have to be sure she'd get something from All Stars
Realistically for queens from early seasons, even queens like shannel don't have as much of an audience as most the season 14-16 queens

Kim Chi did have a WOW show called "MUG" with Naomi Smalls(?). Kim was fun in it, but she seemed to mock or dislike the idea of having a recurring schtick or structured format, like having to say the intro title. Maybe she didn't like doing the show.

I adore Nina Bonina's drag. I dont think she has any hate in her heart, she just speaks very candidly and does not have a filter. People are just so ready to jump on every comment without engaging in a conversation about it to clarify. Cancel culture is too quick. I also wish Max was still doing drag. Okay but she’s also just said some wildly transphobic things in videos she edited herself and posted for the entire world to see. Regardless of if she’s just “unfiltered” as you say and has good intentions, she is someone with a platform and was negligent with her use of that platform to punch down a group in our community that is already facing so much adversity.

When Sugar and Spice went on Denali's UA-cam Channel, there was an idea spread around that they tour and meet different "drag aunties" that kind off give a masterclass on different aspects of drag, since they weren't that much in the "drag community" back then.
That got me thinking: Which drag race queens could give a masterclass on different aspects of drag?
(Like "the four horsewomen of drag race", for example Jinkx for snatch game, bob for acting challenges or writing lyrics, Sasha for lipsyncing etc.)

Or maybe some of these queens just know that Drag Race All Stars is not worth it anymore. Like let’s be honest here, with the current format of Drag Race where there are a lot of Design Challenges, high energy performance-centered Challenges, would queens like Nicole Paige-Brooks, Porkchop, Stacey excel in them? Like frfr. So i think it’d be smart to think that their iconic moments during their original season are enough already for their career outside drag race coz it’d be not worth it to appear in All stars and risk being considered mediocre. Im not saying that they are necessarily bad performers anymore, Im saying that with the CURRENT format of Drag Race itself, with all these high standard for runways, and challenges, combined with the riggory of it all
I think they need to do more spin offs for alum that isn't drag race. DO the living together big brother style show, or an alll dance competition, or a make up thing. Things that are more off shoots of drag race but people that do less of everything could join in and not loose face for not being good at odd things like marketing or photoshoots.
Say what you want about season 9... but season 9 collectively has the most iconic cast, iconic season, and iconic reunion. Season's 5 and 6 are in the 2nd and 3rd bracket with season 6 being 2nd and season 5 being 3rd.
