And I would get it where, RU yells at ALL the girls. And it would make more sense if She yelled to all of them about not wearing something do basic BUT the fact it's just to Joe only
Finally someone said something about how half the episodes in S14 had no one go home. TBH I hope that S15 just does it normally. I think they should have a split premier where no one goes home so we can get to know everyone a little better, and no one goes home then (or they get brought back). I think there should be an allowance for 1 or 2 double saves. And I think the top 4 challenge should be a competitive episode where someone goes home and RuPaul crowns from a top 3. They need to retire the Lip Sync for the Crown.. it’s tired.
I really liked the like personalized songs the top 5 did on s14 but there shouldn’t have been 5 that’s a bit excessive. I would prefer top 3 with that same format.
From what I've heard, season 15 has cast 16 queens which will most likely fix this issue, BUT, then we're back to the S11 issue: too many queens, too little time to get to know and care about those early outs. VH1 should've just ordered less episodes but they been too greedy so... We'll have to settle for either a season with 17 double shantays or 45 queens

In regards to RPDR ALL STARS III, Michelle Visage was quoted in a news article that was published following the airing of ALL STARS III saying that if it were not for the jury of eliminated queens, that Shangela would have won ALL STARS III. For that jury of eliminated queens very clearly did not make their judgement calls on skill of any kind or even the top 4 queens' track record throughout the competition either. They made their decisions based on friendship and loyality to Trixie and the fact that Shangela most likely was a threat to them. Trixie may have come a long way in her drag career. However, she is one of the weakest RPDR winners of the U.S. franchise. Shangela is still a very strong and hard working drag queen even with the loss of ALL STARS III. For she did a guest spot on STATION 99 tv show I believe and is getting ready to be the first drag queen to compete on DANCING WITH THE STARS U.S. very soon.
The jury of eliminated queens didn't feel threatened by Shangela, they didn't like the way she moved behind the scenes. She got on their nerves many times. You can look it up. I heard Bendela say so in one of her podcast interviews during pandemic
Rumors say that the reasons they implemented the jury vote in AS3 at last minute after BendelaChrist' s self elimination are because: a) Ru herself didn't want to eliminate Bebe. Hence Shangela being eliminated is the collateral damage from the voting outcome. b) Trixie at that point is the most followed queen on social media. So they wanted her to push her to the top 2 so she could win in order to gain more viewerships, fans and ratings. If Shangela was in the top 2 there's no way Trixie would win the season based on the track record alone. So they put Kennedy at top 2 with the worst track record just to justify Trixie's winning
Along with Mrs. Kasha, who I'm glad to see back soon, clearly Max was mistreated. I totally agree with Mera on Italy and so many of us wished Priscilla was replaced. Unfortunately there's probably a two year contract. Honestly I'm sad you guys are no longer watching. I deeply hope Italy learnt from season 1 mistakes and the second, starting in just few weeks, is going to be much better.
21:00 Can we also point out that it was only after this huge fight between Bosco and Camden, Bosco getting called out for it on the main stage, the iconic line "was in the bottom 3 times in 1 episode", and ONLY THEN does Bosco precisely have the golden bar. It legitimately felt like a producer stunt that they could make sure was perfectly timed just to have drama at the beginning of the next episode. I love Bosco, but that entire situation smelt like shit and it was hard not to see the nuts in it afterwards too.
The only season I ever quit watching midway through is Holland Season 1 when Sederginne was eliminated. She'd been underappreciated and robbed for multiple weeks. Then they sent her home to Abby, who was in the bottom for the third time in a row, despite the fact that the lipsync was pretty evenly matched and Sederginne had a way better track record. Plus, even if I had continued, I probably would've rage quit the next week when Chelsea was sent home.
For me the only time I gave up on a season was UK3. After River and Choriza were unfairly eliminatedI had no one left to root for. All my faves were out, and it was obvious that Krystal was going to win anyways so what was even the point?
As much as I love seeing every queen do their werkroom entrance on the same episode, I think a double premiere with no eliminations works the best, then you can have your double save and your lip sync smackdown during the rest of the season, whether it be midway like US S14 or to decide the Top 3 like in Canada S2.
I WISH DRAG RACE WAS SCORED WITH BADGES(POINTS) SO THEY CAN ALL STAY THE FULL SEASON. TO SHOW ALL THEIR LOOKS, ABILITY TO GROW ON SEASON, AND JUDGES SEE MORE OF ALL THE THEM.😍💋
RuPaul announced that there is a 3rd season of Drag Race Holland coming and there will be a new judge. I quit watching S2 of Holland and España after a few episodes because the judging was all over the place and there was clear favoritism by the judges.
Season 13 was the worst with that Pork Chop lounge lasting 328 episodes. When Kandy Muse was saved (which I don't disagree with) it was just another moment of like "UHHHH cmon this is ENDLESS" instead of being happy for her. You'd think they would've learned the lesson for S14, the middle of that was like S13 part II !!
To me the worst was Italy, the way they treated the queen Enorma Jean and as well Dragula season 4 how Sigourney was treated. Hate to see intolerance into Drag scene. Uk versus the world was really rough when Jimbo was fired...
For me: Art Symone being brought back, and Anita being eliminated in Down Under Krystal not winning the ball, and Kitty winning instead in UK3 Suki Doll elimination in Canada 2 Kandy being saved from being eliminated
Elecktra Bionic was robbed for 1-2 win for me. She overall was the best of the season. She can do more things than Farida and she doing well in every challenge and runway. The judging was unfair. The host was so unprofessional and offensive with all the queens.
Could not agree more! Elecktra Bionic is amazing, really calm and professional too, unlike most of the other queens! I did enjoy the chaos of the season though.
Very that. Italia S1 is definitely a mess but the hate that it’s receiving now is a bit too much. For someone who has no interest in following the franchise Mera has a lot of sh*t to say about it. The season was not good but it’s nowhere near bad as Mera portrays it.
I honestly don't understand why there's this huge stereotype that Canadians are uber sweet people. I have been to Canada numerous times, I've spent a lot of time interacting with Canadians, and while the people of Calgary really are just the warmest, kindest people you'll ever meet, well, the first season of Canada's Drag Race was an accurate representation of the average interactions I've had and heard from others. That isn't even to say Canadians on average are rude, they're not, they just have a culture geared towards more biting humour, if that makes any sense. I mean, this is the country of hockey. Canada's Worst Driver wouldn't be the best show to ever happen if it wasn't for Canadians being their awry selves. I legitimately thought production told the Canadian judges to be meaner because they did not want to be held to the standards of the "Canadian UwU" stereotype.
I think changing the title to "jumping the shark" would be helpful. I was kinda confused what I was going to watch and clicked mainly because I love this channel
Here is the thing about having a jury of eliminated peers. I'm fine with it, but people need to know that from the get go so they can do jury management and establish a plan for that finish line. If they wanted to do like a pageant thing like they did as a challenge, a fun twist could have been : "the jury will pick one person to go straight to the finale." still not a big fan of it, but it's better than what they did on AS 3
Honestly, I know it's controversial, but I really liked the points-based system from AS7 and I'd like them to try that with a regular season. So often we see queens go home week one on a challenge that didn't play to their strengths and then we wonder what would have happened if they had a chance at other challenges. I think it would allow us to get to know all of the queens better plus it would stop all of the "I would have killed this challenge, you bitches are lucky I went home early" nonsense... if you get to the end of the competition and you have the most points out of all the queens in the cast then you're more likely to be the most well-rounded queen and the most deserving winner. If you get to the end and you have no points but we had fun getting to know you, you're still going to build a great fan base
I don't think it would work. Everyone on AS7 is proven to be good at the format of the show already and it was a small cast. On a regular season, so many queens would just consistently do poorly and be dragged up to the last episode and we all know how the fanbase treats queens they think have stayed too long
Funny you mention the Fonz! I met him in London at a book signing (he signed two Hank Zipzer books for me which were for my nephews and nieces). Strangely he filmed the series at my old school in Dewsbury :) I digress! Loving Chloe's campy creative look today 💗
Looking back on Pearl…here’s what I think. I think after the “is there something on my face incident” Ru was going to try and tear Pearl down…not by eliminating her…but by screwing with her as much as she can. Like I don’t think she goes abt the conversations towards the end of the szn correctly and I’ve just always felt it was out of bitterness
Kandy’s and Simone’s double safe didn’t sit well with me. The favoritism for both (for different reasons, one to win and the other one for being good reality tv) came through. The discarding of some talented queens like Sugah, Mrs. Kasha, Max was also cheap. I wasn’t too keen on forced or negative reunion moments, like Adore and Laganja’s talk at the reunion, or the whole Vixen dynamic that she felt her best choice was to walk away.
For me when it comes to having episodes where no one goes home I think it's the expectation of it. Every week I expected someone to go home and no one did I was more and more... confused... annoyed... I can't think of better words than that but I think you understand. I like the idea of having a few episodes in the beginning for us to get to know everyone but I think having LESS queens, rather than more, would work better and setting up the expectation. I understand they want to leave it suspenseful for us as viewers and for the queens so that the stakes feel real but after watching AS7 I do feel like there are ways to raise the stakes in during times when contestant know they're not going home. I'd even be interested in having the first four episodes where no one goes and episode five is a lip sync smack down or maybe a double elimation ball.
There is only one season of US drag race I just couldn't watch any longer and quit it... season 7! ugh. Ironic thing is now my 2 all time favorite queens came from that season.
I like it if in like the first three episodes no one goes home you get to know who they are and then they all been given a decent chance to like get their head in the game a little bit after that it’s every person for themselves
Priscilla is really a toxic host, she was mean to all the girls after the season ended on socials, not motha energy at all. Also you calling her a truck driver really sent me 😂 love Elecktra Bionic but Farida was really and truthfully robbed, if they wanted Elecktra to win they should’ve given her a win thoughout the season, they pretending like they didn’t make their own production choices, Itália was such a mess. Imma was season q the same way as the second half of season 1: skipping through most of it.
The problem with DR Holland is that the scene there is so small. So many of them belong to the same family as well, including Envy, so she would not be able to be objective either. It would be like if US was half Davenports, and hosted by Kennedy.
I'm on-board with most here. Except for Thailand. I LIKED it because it broke the mold so much, and so early in international too. Runways are amazing, I love them. But in a lot of series, they end up barely mattering. So it's nice to see the runway treated as its own challenge, with its own ups and downs. If someone wins the challenge but utterly bombs the runway, I want to see her success praised, while her failure is acknowledged and dealt with. And Thailand's the only one I felt really did that a lot.
Didn’t kana warrior essentially get eliminated because she lip synced too many times? Like I swore they told her something along those lines and they kept Katy Killer
I didn't think the beginning of season 13 was weird, I thought it was gratuitously cruel. And that thing where they had to eliminate one of the group.... straight out of some ww II movie. Put me off the whole season
Jorgeous winning the design challenge ruined season 14. The person who should’ve lipsynced that week wins? Way too much riggory, made the competition seem like it didn’t matter
Also was lowkey shocked to not see Nina West and Silky's lip sync here. Cause it was already a jumped shark when it wasn't a double elimination, but then you kept the one with a botched reveal, a half hearted split, the single weakest wig reveal of all time as opposed to the one who still stayed semi composed and at least had her lips visible the whole time.
Here's a solution: do the two sets of contestants where they're in the groups of seven for two weeks each with nobody going home during those first four episodes. Since the nobody going home episodes are all front loaded it won't feel unfair or rigged like the chocolate bar or the return of Art Simone. It'd also guarantee each queen would be in at least three episodes allowing people a chance to get to know them beyond sixty seconds in one episode.
i'm assuming it's because of covid restrictions they couldn't do something like it, but one way to fill in the episode count would be a comeback episode like in s7 where the eliminated queens compete for a spot back but nobody goes home.
I have opinion about Allstars as well. I feel like after S3 and S4 the producers have been pandering to the audience to make up for Shangela being robbed and the double win. like since then the show has exclusively allowed the fan pick to win (although I do agree with the winners on S5,6 and 7) it does feel a little like they're covering up their mess.
My biggest rage quit moment was the first elimination of Joe Black, only to bring her back, yell at her about H&M (even though it was mid-pandemic and no one was given a stipend for clothing) and re-eliminate her

Given they don't get prize money, UK DR really should have a stipend. Maybe those girls who can't afford to compete would actually apply.

I didn’t make it to the final episode of AS4, because I rage quit after Manilla’s elimination…
Same
Omg I'm living for Chloe's style today
The only season I ever quit watching midway through is Holland Season 1 when Sederginne was eliminated. She'd been underappreciated and robbed for multiple weeks. Then they sent her home to Abby, who was in the bottom for the third time in a row, despite the fact that the lipsync was pretty evenly matched and Sederginne had a way better track record. Plus, even if I had continued, I probably would've rage quit the next week when Chelsea was sent home.
Not you calling her ARTPOP 4:16 😭😭😭😭😭
TO SHOW ALL THEIR LOOKS, ABILITY TO GROW ON SEASON, AND JUDGES SEE MORE OF ALL THE THEM.😍💋
chloe"s hair is just everything!
I don't jump the shark, I am the boom boom shark
RuPaul announced that there is a 3rd season of Drag Race Holland coming and there will be a new judge. I quit watching S2 of Holland and España after a few episodes because the judging was all over the place and there was clear favoritism by the judges.
The only series that made me quit was Italia after the Lipsync to be disqualified, i just couldn't continue (i might go back but i don't know)
A lovely birthday present for me :)
Happy Birthday!!!!
@@connorscott1496 thank you so much 💖
Season 13 was the worst with that Pork Chop lounge lasting 328 episodes. When Kandy Muse was saved (which I don't disagree with) it was just another moment of like "UHHHH cmon this is ENDLESS" instead of being happy for her.
You'd think they would've learned the lesson for S14, the middle of that was like S13 part II !!
Have you beauties done a list on queens who were prematurely cast for all stars? I would love to see what you think!
To me the worst was Italy, the way they treated the queen Enorma Jean and as well Dragula season 4 how Sigourney was treated. Hate to see intolerance into Drag scene. Uk versus the world was really rough when Jimbo was fired...
Chloe looks like the little cousin of Paloma’s (DR France) promo look
I'm surprised no mention of the pairs for season one all stars. Maybe we were more intrigued to see how this would progress
For me:
Art Symone being brought back, and Anita being eliminated in Down Under
Krystal not winning the ball, and Kitty winning instead in UK3
Suki Doll elimination in Canada 2
Kandy being saved from being eliminated
I'm at 2:00 and I already know that AS3 Jury is gonna be number 1 💁♂️😅
Okay I was wrong, no numbers 😅💁♂️
The season was not good but it’s nowhere near bad as Mera portrays it.
oooh im loving the thought of Envy being the host of holland
I’m still 100% sure that the jury vote was to ensure that Trixie won, as she was more lucrative than Shangela and did a lot more work for WoW
I think changing the title to "jumping the shark" would be helpful. I was kinda confused what I was going to watch and clicked mainly because I love this channel
Kerry Colby even tweeted something like "watching Drag Race and I just realized I'm the only person who has gone home in the last FOUR episodes"
trixie didnt win season 3 in the show, but career wise she did go on the be the next drag superstar. i mean shangela is doing just fine though
On a regular season, so many queens would just consistently do poorly and be dragged up to the last episode and we all know how the fanbase treats queens they think have stayed too long
Veronica’s elimination on season 3 almost made me quit.
I rage quit DRDU1 when art came back, cuz I was so over it!
Funny you mention the Fonz! I met him in London at a book signing (he signed two Hank Zipzer books for me which were for my nephews and nieces). Strangely he filmed the series at my old school in Dewsbury :)
I digress!
I love the hate for Drag Race Italia and their host 😂😂😂 Drag them!
And the rules on Drag Race Thailand were wild. 🤣🤣🤣
Mera serving young hip fashion mom and Chloe's her daughter entering her gazillionth pageant at just 5 years old.
Love the BUFFY look ,Mera
I love Chloe's laugh soooo much :D i love u
04:16 ARTPOP
Down Under S1 Ep 4
Enough said.
Chloe is giving me drag on a dime done right Huntyniqua!
i'm assuming it's because of covid restrictions they couldn't do something like it, but one way to fill in the episode count would be a comeback episode like in s7 where the eliminated queens compete for a spot back but nobody goes home.
I lived on how Mera hates Drag Race Italy 🔥❤️
Jump the shark don't you mean "Jump The Ship!"
no lol
I have opinion about Allstars as well. I feel like after S3 and S4 the producers have been pandering to the audience to make up for Shangela being robbed and the double win. like since then the show has exclusively allowed the fan pick to win (although I do agree with the winners on S5,6 and 7) it does feel a little like they're covering up their mess.
