I was able to build my own gunite pool with construction experience for about 25k with a waterfall. Hired out the shot Crete and Plaster process and did everything else myself. That's a 12x20 and 4.5 feet deep. A lot of hard work and a lot of research. Double checking everything along the way. But total worth it.
What about adding a spa? 5-10k average for that? And what about if you choose fiberglass shell that already has the hot tub in the layout... does that decrease the cost compared to concrete?
I think your concrete pool prices for the Midwest region are really low. I personally have not seen any pool contractors building concrete pools here for less than 100k
From pricing I done on material it seems the price quote in this video is purely the shell of the pool.....without any hardware, electrical, operating equipment, pool deck, etc. I don't think anything less than $75K for a pool is likely (and that is with a concrete pool deck).

I always laugh when one of these videos shows up. Just went through pool pricing and didn’t see anything near these numbers.
