Wow...the stand ins are getting really out of hand now. Why are they putting so many back ups in these last few months? I've seen this 20 times now and the last few months there's almost always 2 or 3 stands ins every show. I mean this show its was Back up 1) Lorraine 2) Clocktower Woman 3) sister 4) Jennifer - the Jennifer was the back up to the back up!! I can only start to think that they are planning to tour and will have 2 crews...1 for touring and 1 for London.
A lot of the cast then were away on holiday. There are currently no plans for this show to be touring. I was told during the gold experience ticket host (at the show) that BTTF will be extending past October 2022
@@aidanrocketman97 Yeah, I'd be surprised if it wasn't extended (again) it's the best Musical in London at present. I do think it will be toured. Just reading between the lines on some comments made by the official Facebook page when people ask about it coming to x,y,z city...they always say "maybe in the future"...but who knows. I've watched it so many times and between spetember and December it was the same cast time after time...I remember the first time we saw a stand in (about our 10th time watching it) it was Will standing in for Ollie....I almost fell off my chair ..lol....Although I do think Will has improved massively and is as good as Ollie now as Marty. I'm not sure the reason for the stand in is holiday, as they have been putting numerous stand ins now for a good few months , since January I think. I've seen it so often now that I do actually enjoy the odd stand in as it's adds something different. I was really surprised to see Alessia as Jennifer in this video as the normal Jeniffer stand in is Rhianne....Alessia is a great dancer and would love to see her take on Jennifer. I just wonder what the reason is for so many and so regularly having stand ins since January?
The actor who plays Jennifer was on holiday, what other swings are in different roles here? I see the OG marty, doc, biff, george. I think the swing for Lorraine changed recently as one of the actors left. Another ensemble male actor left as well, that's it?
@@tryingtocatchastar Yeah, looking again it wasn't too bad...it was only back up Jennifer....Lorraine...Sister...Clocktower Woman. I've seen it about 25 times now I was just starting to notice more and more stand ins...but ironically I saw it twice last week and both times it was practically 100% original cast so I ate my own words..lol I think for me when some people have paid £140 for a seat and you see a lot of stand ins, I'd feel short changed.. a bit like paying £140 to watch your football team then when you get there they put the reserve team out. But yeah, there's always unforseen circumstances and holidays/illness. Either way it's an amazing show and I think by the end of next month I reckon I'll be on my 30th time!!
@@Show_Guide they arent stand ins though, they are ensemble so they're people that appear in the background but if main characters are off - they step up, like I saw Shane Riodran playing Biff both times I've been, but he's not even listed as a swing.
