The razor Elliot is using is the Mühle Rocca. It is a very good razor built in machined stainless steel, so it can last you a lifetime. However, it is not one of the best for beginners because it is quite aggressive, and it is always recommended to start with milder razors. I started with an Edwin Jagger DE89, a very elegant tool with a very smooth and respectful shave. You could also start with a Mühle R89, which has the same head as the previous one, or with a Merkur 34C. The razor in the video was the third one I acquired, and it is marvelous, but it's better to have experience before using it because otherwise, you might get more than a scare.

Hi elliot, being a fan of the against the grain, I recently bought a cheap safety razor, it uses the gillette plus blades but unfortunately I always have problems against the grain, pimples always come out under my neck. What do you advise me to do? Thanks in advance
not elliot but i shave against the grain, facial and hair prep is key make sure you’re softening your hair with a hot towel and oil prior to shaving, it reduces nicks and bumps by a lot, and try to use a fresh razor whenever possible

Your lather looks as though it isn't hydrated enough. When you see a professional barber perform a wet shave, the lather is almost dripping off the client's face. After all the purpose of the lather is to hold water in suspension as the water is the main lubricant.
