- I wanted to say soccer, I really did, but I couldn't do it.
A Football Manager investigation will get to the bottom of this pressing footballing question - who is the worst professional soccer (or football, I see you people) player in the world? There are over 395,000 players in Football Manager’s database so it won’t be easy to find literally the worst soccer player on the planet who is a professional, but we’ve come up with a way to do it. The question is answered. UA-cam channels were found.
We spend so much time debating the best footballers or soccer players on the planet, it’s only fair that something like this is done. FM makes it possible, but my goodness is this a hard job. The bottom of the barrel is much more full in the football world than the top. As such, it can never be completely fair, so my apologies if you made this video. Take it up with your Football Manager scout. Or just the people that make FM, but leave the messenger alone. I want to be able to go to Thailand at some point and not be harassed in the streets.

@@erethjallsen8819 No it wouldn't. Because SI games are not capable of making a football manager where you can see a terrible football from bad teams. No matter who you playing against, if they create a chance it looks like Barcelona from their best time.

my moral took a hit once when I found my friend who I played Sunday league football with in the FM database, he was our top goalscorer, scored 60 in a season once. He had 1 finishing.
What made it a little bit better was he was a 100m runner who raced at a county level, and his pace and acceleration were both 10😂 some how.

Willian was absolutely fantastic, even last season, he was our best player for most if not the entire season and is generally a club legend, this season on the other hand...

No joke I went there on my UA-cam channel when I was in Russia for the world cup - I know a few guys in the town - I'll ask them if they know Beka Tandilashvili
in my current save..... Tendilashvili left Duruji after making 1 appearnece in 2 seasons for free and joined STU (also Gerogia) where he made 32 appearences and 5 assists (6.43 avg rating) before leaving again on a free to go to Kartli where he hasnt started a game yet (im in january)

I tried it, I gave every player 1 in everything, and they are unable to score. I did it 3 times, all ended 0-0.

Well that would be quite the party pooper of a fact if true. :-(
Scouts for fm fill in reports on players they know exist and with the info they know about them. For a lot of players and staff, all they know is what team they are on, and maybe a guess on playing time and contract status. The players then get dealt a Current Ability and Potential Ability, and the attributes are filled in randomly according to a template.
More well known players don't get attributes according to a template, but a weighting the scouts do. Like, some scout gives his favourite striker 20 acc and pace, but his CA is such that the program only treats that like a very heavy weighting on acc and pace, and he ends up with 15 each, because he plays in the First division in Sweden.
It depends on how much research is there. If the attribute is set to 0 then it will be randomized indeed.
You should try to get a full team of players like this and see how they would do in the big five leagues

In Lebanon we don't technically have a professional league. It's a bit hard to explain but I wouldn't call it a professional league.

I played the Indian league in FM20 and the players on that were awful. I'm not sure why the biggest teams in India (according to the national team "biggest clubs" tab at least) aren't in the league, but the teams that are in the league are terrible

You should make team from them and let them play match to some comparable team. It would be interesting to watch them try play footbal with those atributes.
Pretty sure the Player Search function only list "known" players, rather than all 300k+ in the database.....
With the in game editor you can remove the ‘in game knowledge’ and search the whole database

Well, shoutout to the eight football players from the league team who are the professionals then.
Thailand also won the 2019 SEA GAMES which is basically youth +2 over 22s
It's the only country in ASEAN that has fully professional league.
This is so unfair, these guys are just bad luck with the scouts who made their stats, i mean, for years we have seen players in Football manager be considered hot prospects in real life, just because they were famous in the gmae, and then they would not translate into that in real life.
Some didnt even existed, in 2001/02 championship Manager (made also by SI games) there was a guy called To Madeira in the lower leagues of portugal
that had 20 finishing and 20 dribling, among great other physical and mental aributes, who basically gave him the ability to score more hat tricks in the EPL than Thierry Henry at the time...
And the guy didnt even existed in real life...
So, i am pretty sure there is an absolute worst professional football player, but measurement of that should not be made in how they are representing in stats in football manager.
there are mathmatical ways to see which one is the worst.
i would say, the worst player, is the one that effectivelly is more useless for the most amount of money costed.
So for instnace, i a player who receives a contract of 1 million dollars a year, and then in the lenght of 4 or 5 years contract, doesnt make any apearence
and that happens not becuase of injuries, but because the manager never picks him into the team.
That makes him a terrible player, ok, perhaps not the worst player in the sense of probably find less agile or atribute worse around the world, but those are amateurs for the worst part, they receive less or nothing in return, they play for fun mostly.
While some guys are being paid big bucks without even being worthy.
And then there are some cases of scams as well, i eard about a french guy who went into the Paris SG stadium, took some pictures, and then offered him self
into a Bulgarian team saying he played in the PSG team a couple years ago, he had a website, that made him look like a professional player...and he was asked to train with the Team in Bulgaria to see if he would say, and guess what...
The coach manager actually said he was ok to go, and they offered him a 10000 Euro monthly contract, and announced him as as signing...
then someone actually got suspicious, because they were well informed about PSG, and then realized he actually never played in anywhere...
it was a scam...

What surprises me is the fact that the worst professional player in the world is a regular starter. That makes me wonder if his teammates might be semi-pro players probably in wheelchairs or something. Wouldn't it be nice just to see how the guy would do at one of the best clubs in the world and that you keep him in the starting 11 for the whole year. I wonder how he performs.

Problem with this video is, how reliable are the stats for these super-obscure players in terrible leagues? Is there really a footballer who has 1 for nearly everything but somehow three of his stats are in the teens? How does that work?
