It should serve as a means to get people out of high rent and back on their feet before they’re homeless. Once people are homeless they become hard drug users who aren’t deserving of a home at all but rather a prison sentence for life.

Seeing as how $24 million was given to Newsome for the homeless problem and he STILL dodges questions about where all that money went. Meanwhile people still demonize the homeless as if it's they're fault when the problem CAN be solved, just no one wants to spend the money to do it.
Thank you Governor Newsom and your lack of response for the homeless issue. We have lost many structures now do to your incompetence. Bidwell mansion being there worst catastrophe on your watch.
Yeah, that mayor really talks a good game. And talks, and talks, and talks, and talks. Doesn't seem to actually do much about these problems she talks so much about huh? I've watched seven homeless fires out my window, on the block WITH NO STREET LIGHTS THIS PAST YEAR. I made a documented request about this in July, they say it takes 45 to 90 days? it's been well over 180 days. The hotel the city bought sees an ambulance in front of it two or three times a week. Oh, and a recent murder.
Hmm… what could have caused the fire. Well I’m no fire inspector, but maybe it was the homeless drug addicts with power tools that were living there unlawfully.

Insurance pays out more than the building itself. But since homeless are there we can blame them and charge them with arson and lock them up permanently.
My brother lives on the 25th floor of circa LA and we watched the whole fire from start to finish. Immediately we said its most likely vagrants that started it. Surprise suprise.
What a completely out of control situation the vagrants are in Los Angeles, year after year after year and never any change. Sad.
