    I scalloped my own neck (maple fretboard) fairly shallow. Uniform scallops like Yngwie, but the scallops are more like his "play loud/duck" strat than his current USA signature model. Visually, I like the shallow-type scallops better, they give you just the same functionality with a look that doesn't look as "exaggerated" compared to the scallops on the YJM USA Strat.

      I agree, I like shallower scalloping too because it takes less time and work for me. But this one here I only scalloped like this because of the thin fretboard it has. Usually they end up deeper in the process of polishing like the candy apple red one that I have. It also depends on what thickness a maple fretboard neck has and what kind of finish, if it's thin or thick and tinted or not. But when it comes to his signature models, I prefer the older shallow scalloped ones.
