Thanks for taking us through the labor hrs. You've seen enough of these to know what you are doing and it's still a lot of time. I just spent my day with rusty tank and his friend clogged fuel filter!
Amazing electrical understanding on your part, something I'm lacking. Got lucky getting my 200es running yesterday thanks to a $12 PZ27 and an $8 throttle cable and got the idle low enough to put into reverse! Not so lucky on the 200s today but the carb and throttle cable duet went quicker so as soon as I can check for spark, I'll focus there. I was able to remove the bracket on the cable choke style carb and replace it with the metal arm for the manual choke model. Keep on that Grizzly.
I was given a dragon motorsports 250 with no spark and after testing replaced the cdi still no spark then had to find a stator and pick up coil when doing that found out it is a honda gutted wiring and redid thanks to your videos it now runs thanks for doing your videos
i have a problem with one on these it just randomly shuts of and loss of spark all parts in the flywheel checks out new key switch nut/rev lights work any help would be a blessing Harvey
Just out of observation cuz I just did a stator on my 87' big bear 4x4, same issue, but shouldn't the stator be clocked so the big cdi mag is facing the pick up coil
Im having some of the same problems, I've watched all the Kodiak videos but I can't find the video where you fixed it, did you ever find out what's going on, did you get that book for the wiring diagram, let me know which video shows the fix, thanks for all the vids and the learning that is over loading my brain lol, but I'm still going to keep pushing it in till it registers, God bless
This video is for beginners not sense to me cuz he check stator he said everything was fine when he check before take apart. I can do that with close eyes i have a artic cat with spark i put new stator flywheel was good i try another cdi and still not start can you make a video with the flywheel with spend over the little keyway spend around the shafh that why i have not spark on the time was not needed i have spark but out of time this video is so easy also my advice to beginer to take stator cover off is drain the oil first remove foot rest if want for more access to cover and flip the bike on side on two wheels so the stator cover set straight up when you take cover off nothing fall off and make sure all the washer put it back between gear some bike has that especially on Suzuki eiger

Nice for you to talk us through the troubleshooting routine you used. Lots of useful tips in this video. Thanks for sharing it.

Harvey is the G.O.A.T. ....... wealth of knowledge......
(appreciate your help Mr spooner!)
Hey
I was given a dragon motorsports 250 with no spark and after testing replaced the cdi still no spark then had to find a stator and pick up coil when doing that found out it is a honda gutted wiring and redid thanks to your videos it now runs thanks for doing your videos
I'd hate to pay this guy by the hour.
The coil that charges the cdi is called the exciter coil :) good video
Hey
Looks like you are almost there. That's probably all that is wrong with it. Hopefully the carb isn't full of crud. 👍👍
i have a problem with one on these it just randomly shuts of and loss of spark all parts in the flywheel checks out new key switch nut/rev lights work any help would be a blessing Harvey
Is there a special timing for the stator ? My bike runs a little sluggish and doesn’t want to rev up fast. I think maybe it’s the stator, idk
Hi do you have the part number or link, my grizzly 600 has the exactly the same problem thanks
Hey do you still got you 600 grizzly
Just out of observation cuz I just did a stator on my 87' big bear 4x4, same issue, but shouldn't the stator be clocked so the big cdi mag is facing the pick up coil
Can wrong timing cause low compression and loss of spark?
sounds like a good "friend."

😆this is the fix partner, restart and watch again beginning to end, you'll have it.
