Congrats on your platinum. You made a huge investment in this game and got the platinum in around 70hours (according to the most consuming trophy for rotations). I'm almost 100h in and still have to get some SS. Never tested playing daily, specially over a week. I'm jealous in a good way ☺️
This has so far been the hardest platnium trophy I've obtained. I knew very quickly when you said there were two major difficult parts that the Ultra and Sprint modes were going to be it, I spent a few dozen hours on each of them and just used constant line pieces and a couple all clears for my strategy. Doing thise two modes alone only got me from level 30 or so up to 96 with the amount of attempts, and even then i only had around 300,000 rotations. I manually pressed the buttons for more hours while I watched television episodes or read books. Definitely worth it and it's good you found your own way of doing it.
man, im on my way for this platinum, finally did the sprint one with 1:09s even uploaded the video to my channel =) im doing ultra with your tip and did 32K yesterday, thats the last one i need to SS. ive watched this video around 3 times already. great presentation! ive even came back here today to like and subscribe now. Upload more videos like this, it feels like i completely understand your experience heheh =) feels nice
I remember trying to do the T-Spin tower to get double SS on Ultra. I ended up abandoning it and stuck with trying to go as fast as possible and ended up going quite over the mark lol. Tetris Effect is absolutely my proudest platinum and that's when including games like Yakuza, Judgment etc.
@@Jeremy_Bentham Honestly, just getting SS everywhere is a major accomplishment in and of itself. That platinum and the rarity of it makes it even sweeter.
i’d just like to state that SS rank on classic score attack is unbelievably hard, and took months for me to achieve for the first time (although it’s now extremely consistent but that’s because it’s been even more months) also ultra is arguably harder than csa, and is one of the SS ranks i don’t have, also what the hell did you actually just learn ST stacking to get a platinum trophy
@@SciDarkReal it honestly wasn't too bad! There are some good tutorial videos out there and if you just commit to it and know you're going to suck at it at first, it's not too bad. Maybe took me 10 hours or so to get it down
Try yakuza plats. I had to even learn mahjong to get them (AI does cheat however) Yakuza 3 is the hardest one because it needs you to perfect 100%, finishing the whole completion list.
I have all the Yakuza games platinum from 0 to Infinite Wealth and i'm struggling on Tetris Effect. Sprint is the one i'm struggling with the most can't even get 1 minute 40 because i keep getting too many long bar droughts so it makes it impossible. Yakuza games are a 6/10 on difficulty at the most where Tetris Effect is a 10/10
@@Jeremy_Benthamit’s a method for achieving consistent perfect/all clears and to answer the question, well, it’s normal guideline tetris so i don’t see why it wouldn’t, although some spins aren’t possible due to no 180

Hah I did an hour or two of manually spamming spins while watching tv, but it was way too slow for me.

Lol yeah I decided to commit to learning ST stacking because I was so intimidated by doing Ultra by just going fast
