- hellooo happy easter sunday!
i've been listening to a lot of doom and death metal lately LOL and Loathe is one of my favorites lately. i don't know if they even classify as death metal. but their new album is super good, i highly recommend.
this song in particular makes me feel some wonderful yet emotional kind of way, and is probably one of my favorites of this album, among many others. i SUCK at singing high notes, forgive my GARBAGE falsetto LOL
i hope you all are finding ways to occupy your time during this quarantine, and if you are directly involved in fighting this pandemic on behalf of the poorly and idiotically-run federal powers, i sincerely thank you all. God knows we would all have died if it weren't for your efforts.
stay safe everyone, and go and strive to be your best, whether that's achieved through working on projects or finding your own quiet time or whatever else it may be.

After reading the lyrics while listening, I absolutely broke down in tears. I interpret this song as someone dealing with the death of a loved one. Trying to deal with the sadness however he can. Going outside to gaze at stars to find their spirit. When he sings "is it really you?" I interpret that as him asking the sky, is that really his loved one's presence he feels - as his gaze meets a particular set of stars that resemble their eyes. Then he just lays there letting himself be "crushed by silent snow" embracing his loved-one spiritually.
The really sad part to me was when he sings, "I'm bleeding out, oh you know." I see that as him cutting his wrists so he can "collide like stars" and be with his loved one once again. The silent snow can be a metaphor for depression. And the "ebb and flow" lyrics could be how depression tends to be chronic and increased when traumatic events happen. The "oh you know" could be him talking to his loved one reminding them that they know how he is and how devastating life changes can ruin him.
More optimisticly one can interpret the "bleeding out" lyrics as simply him feeling empty and bleeding out all that he is, missing his loved one. Maybe that's why he says "collide like stars for a while." Meaning he just wants to let go for a while and break down and cry, let it all out. Embrace the pain and longing to get through the trauma and start to heal from his loss.
I couldn't help but think of my aunt Norma who passed away from brain cancer. She beat it with surgery and chemotherapy when she was in her 30's but it came back in her 50's and she simply didn't have the strength to take it on again in her advanced age. She was the kindest and strongest person I've ever known. I miss her so much.

@@xnosmokenoknivesx I shared it on multiple videos of this song to be able to increase the possibility of starting a positive dialog with like-minded fans. UA-cam could easily filter out multi-posting. So if you take issue, direct it toward them. In my post I am not trying to sell anything nor am I spreading conspiracy theories.
My intention is not to spam. I see it as bringing up a topic to a group of like-minded fans at one video, then going to another group of like-minded fans with the same topic. Sure there might be some people from the 1st group that hear the same topic being discussed in the 2nd group. But if that happens then please disregard if you wish to not take part again. You are welcome with open arms either way.
It's kind of like when a comedians tells a joke at one performance. Then tells the same joke at subsequent performances. The comedian is simply trying to bring that joke to a wider audience. Hecklers never harass the comedian yelling, "you already told the joke before!" The joke is repeated for those who haven't heard it. But in my case it's not a joke but rather a song interpretation and relatable experience that can help some in dealing with loss of a loved-one. I wish you peace and love, no hard feelings. You were self-deprecating with the "garbage falsetto" description you gave of your performance, but that's just it for me.... the way you did it, made it sound like a man singing to his true love and breaking down emotionally, overcome by the passion he has for his true love. It may sound "broken" to the vocal experts out there, but to me, (and I suspect many others), it sounds REAL, and HONEST. That can't be discounted. Amazing job, my dude. - a friend in Michigan
