Well ideally there is no independent current source. Whichever available in the market are derived with the help of the other circuits. But when such sources are directly used in some other circuits, then they can be considered as the independent current sources, because their behaviour does not depend on the new circuit parameters. In the voltage controlled voltage source, the controlling voltage controls the output voltage. And op-amp is the perfect example of that. Whenever the op-amp is used either in inverting or non-inverting configuration, then the output voltage is Vo = A x Vin So, if you see, the output is directly proportional to input voltage.
