    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  4 роки тому +1

      Well ideally there is no independent current source. Whichever available in the market are derived with the help of the other circuits. But when such sources are directly used in some other circuits, then they can be considered as the independent current sources, because their behaviour does not depend on the new circuit parameters. In other way, it's value does not depend on the voltage or current across any element in the new circuit. I hope it will clear your doubt.

    Sir, can we use the concept of source transformation for dependent sources or, is there any limitation in using source transformation theorem with dependent sources.

    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  4 роки тому

      Yes, it can be used for the dependent sources.

    • @VinayExplain
      @VinayExplain 3 роки тому

      The answer is yes. A dependent source is simply one whose current or voltage is not a constant, but a function of some input parameter x. So in the source transformation algebra, you simply regard the quantities V and I not as constants but as V(x) and I(x); in other words V(x)=I(x)R and I(x)=V(x)R.

    What is the use of independent or dependent sources

    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  4 роки тому

      Many times in the actual design or during the analysis of the circuit, we come across these sources. For example, just take the case of aBJT or MOSFET amplifier. It is biased with independent DC sources. And sometimes the same BJT or MOSFET, is used as current source (It is the dependent current source) in some other circuit. So, to simplify the analysis, it is represented by the dependent source during the analysis. I hope it will clear your doubt.

    @JASHEEM99 6 років тому

    Hello! What is the function of a dependent source in a circuit?

    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  6 років тому +1

      Let's say, you want to control the load current in a particular circuit. And if you able to do that by changing the voltage at some other node. e.g MOSFET. In MOSFET, the output current (Drain current) is the function of the voltage applied between the gate and source.
      So, just by changing the gate voltage, it is possible to control the current. And if the load connected to the MOSFET then in a way it is possible to control the current through the load.
      I hope it will clear your doubt.

    I couldn't understand the example of voltage controlled voltage source.

    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  6 років тому

      In the voltage controlled voltage source, the controlling voltage controls the output voltage.
      And op-amp is the perfect example of that.
      Whenever the op-amp is used either in inverting or non-inverting configuration, then the output voltage is Vo = A x Vin
      So, if you see, the output is directly proportional to input voltage.
      If you change the input, then for the given fixed gain, the output will change.
      For more info, you can check the entire playlist on op-amp.

      Means both terminal of the opam will be either inverting or non inverting ?

    • @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS
      @ALLABOUTELECTRONICS  6 років тому

      Inverting and non-inverting are the two configurations of the op-amp. In the inverting configuration, the output will be 180 degrees out of phase with the input signal. (i.e Vo = -Ax Vin)
      In the non-inverting configuration, it will be in phase with the input signal. (i.e Vo = Ax Vin)
      For more detail, please check the videos on inverting and non-inverting configuration of the op-amp.
