- Righteousness is a free gift given by God through faith in Christ's atoning work. Righteousness is your identity, not an allusive state of existence you reach through performance.
Because you've been given right-standing (righteousness) with God, his spirit now dwells in you. He has also joined his kingdom to you and placed you in it. So when you seek God's kingdom, you first do it by connecting to his presence within you.
You are not righteous because of anything you have done other than surrender to Christ, seeking his kingdom works the same way. God pours out his love for you in your heart so you will be made whole. His grace is his spiritual influence in your inner man to be strengthened and experience the fruits of his spirit. Because of these things, you can experience a connection with the kingdom of God within because God has delivered you from darkness and translated you into his kingdom.
Rest in him, take comfort that his eternal dwelling place is already connected to your inner man, enjoy your identity as a child of God and live a life that brings glory and honor to his name!!

When Gods Kingdom comes, His will is done on earth as it is in heaven. But we are not supposed to wait for Jesus to return for it to happen. The whole message Jesus preached was ‘Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand’. This is what the bible calls ‘the good news’. This is also what Jesus calls the Gospel of the Kingdom. And it is this gospel that will be preached to the ends of the earth before the end. Jesus said this before he even died for us. It is this gospel that is confirmed with signs and wonders. Today’s Gospel is so consumed with Jesus death and resurrection that we stop there and do not preach the full Gospel. Today’s Gospel teaches us the way to His Righteousness. It gets us saved but we stop there. In Mat 6;33 Jesus says seek first the kingdom of god and his righteousness.
Mat 11;12 the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the violent are taking it by force. Violence or forcefull pressure. How can anyone take it by force if Jesus has already come back and it just happens? Luke 17:20 the coming of the Kingdom of God can not be observed. Yet we will all see when Jesus returns. It doesn’t make sense because Jesus is talking about now. Luke 12;32 do not be afraid any longer little flock for your father is pleased to give you the Kingdom. Well we would not be afraid after Jesus returns. God wants it done the way he set it up to be done. When we work in partnership with Him. When I lay hands on the sick and they are healed, what happens is my speaking in faith cracks the kingdom of darkness hold on the sick person. Violently forces it back in the spirit. God will is done for the brief moment and God heals the sick person, just like they would be healed in heaven. This moment is the “on earth as it is in heaven” part. Luke 11;20 but if it is by the finger of God that I drive out demons then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Or come near to you).
Jesus says over and over that whatever we ask the father for in his name, he will give to us. And he gives us two reasons why, John 16.23 so that your Joy May be complete and John 14;12 and what ever you ask the father in my name I will do. So that the father may be glorified in the son. And he gives us clues on how as well like Mat 21;21 if you have faith and do not waiver.... and mark 11;23 ...and does not doubt in his heart.... mark 11;24 ... believe you will receive it and it shall be yours .....
This is why Jesus can confidently and boldly say MK 16;17 these signs shall accompany those who believe .... he is not Joking or talking about apostles only, he is talking about those who believe. That means you and me. Sadly most of us don’t believe that much or work out what he was talking about. Truth is It is the Holy Spirit that will link up all these scriptures for a person and give them understanding of many things but it is reserved for those who do what Jesus says and seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. I began by focusing on everything Jesus said and I just decided it was true because Jesus said it and carried on from there. You can too. The kingdom of God is at hand for you.

It's not inward... that is not biblical .. we should not look to ourselves but God.. we shall not depend on ourselves but God.. we are only vessels that the Lord uses.. God has all the answers.. our hearts are deceitful and there is nothing good within this flesh.. Only God is holy and his spirit that lives within us guides us but our hearts is deceitful so therefore we must look to God and not within ourselves.. God gives us power through his holy spirit but this mindset is wrong

According to the late Dr. Myles Munroe, one of the influential Kingdom teacher in my lifetime, when we have the Holy Spirit in us, we have the Kingdom of God in us. His influence is in us and hence we are Ambassadors of God. We should be influencing the world around us to be like the Kingdom of Heaven, for if we are ambassadors of Heaven, we are it's citizens, then just as Caesar sends a Pontius Pilate to make that area like Rome, we need to influence Earth so it will be lije Heaven. The Kingdom is a government, not a religion, that was why Jesus never was a part of the religious around his time. Jesus brought a Kingdom (a goverment), not a religion. So seek the Kingdom, means seek the governmental influence of The Kingdom of God.

I've been asking God how to do this correctly and having knowledge of this verse. After many years of not seeking because of extreme discouragement over and over and over again, I lost my fervency for God. I felt abandoned and cursed and could not change it no matter what I did. So....I froze in time. Now I'm wanting nothing more than His will and "seeking first his kingdom".

I know this was posted over 6 years ago, but God's Word is alive, active and sharper than a two edged sword, so It’s principals are always applicable for any person in any season of his/her life. This is applicable in my current season as the Holy Spirit has been ministering Matthew 6:33 to me a lot lately. Thank You so much for clarity because I had to do a self-righteous check on myself because in my mind, I thought I was seeking Him and His righteousness. Oh, but this video revealed to me that my definition of righteousness is not God’s. Thank You, Lord, for using this minister to provide me guidance. Minister, continue letting God use you as His vessel.

I'm sorry but you gave the wrong message you're right so much and you finally made a mistake because if you think you do not have to live a certain lifestyle to be righteous your mistaken and I can already tell you where you where you made your mistake is where you say I've heard people sit here and say Christ did it all if Christ did it all then why did Jesus say why didn't you listen to me you're supposed to be obedient there's a message of him telling you how to live your life and if you think that's not that's not going to make a difference then why to those that practice righteous are righteous it's kind of like why did God ask Abraham to do something and he was accounted righteous and I'm not saying that we're supposed to take the credit for the righteousness. And yes at the end of the day God did tell me we could lose the Holy Spirit
Good luck being righteous through your lifestyle. If you break one commandment, you're guilty of breaking them all. Can you live without ever breaking another law?
@@ClintByars hey Clint you know God made me a watchman I'm wondering why I would be giving a message and the Bible would even give you a message that you can that you can not be righteous those that practice righteous are righteous how about when God gives you Grace and you deny all ungodliness and worldly lust and live a righteous life what about the scripture where God leads a person to righteousness. Does that make it sound like I'm taking credit or does it sound like that God's taking credit. You're the one that's twisting the word of God and the church also. Yeah the very thing that everybody wants to point out God's grace teaches a person to deny all ungodliness you know not to be a drunkard a fornicator an idol worshiper an adulterer etc etc. His people don't keep on sinning. Why was Paul no longer a child of wrath and a child of disobedience because he crucified the flesh and he died to himself daily. People didn't rightly divide that did they. Keep your body under subjection. I know Paul is staying from sin. I know why most professing Christians end up in the lake of fire.

Look inward? The Gospel is not about me looking to my self for my right standing before our Holy God. The Gospel causes us to look outward! I find NOTHING in my own being that is worth redeeming. My hope is in Christ alone. The gospel is something that happened outside of me, in real history, approximately 2,000 years ago on the cross of our Lord. Jesus alone is the reason why I am right with God. His substitutionary death for my sins and perfect righteousness credited to me is the only basis for any confidence I can ever have in being saved from the just wrath of God against my sin. To seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness is to seek the rule of Christ, who is God with us, in the flesh, over all things including me. And to seek His righteousness is for me to give up on my own righteousness, which the Bible speaks of as filthy rags, and to trust in the righteousness that is provided to me from God alone, by grace alone, to cover my sins, namely the righteousness of the Lord Jesus Christ. Look outward to Christ alone.
Look inward because the spirit of the living God is in there, his grace is his divine influence in your heart, everything you need from God comes from His spirit which is within you. Of course I'm not meaning you in and of yourself, I mean God in you.

Its not that simple. God's Kingdom is His will for our lives. As members of the Body of Christ, we all have responsibilities. Just as members of our natural bodies have responsibilities and functions, so do we as members of The Kingdom. It's our responsibility to spend time ruth God and learn what His will is for our life. This sounds like a message from a "once saved always saved" type of church and we all know that's a lie. Don't be deceived people! Seek God's will and purpose for your life!

@@ClintByars If you understood what it takes to pinpoint the Will of God for your life, you wouldn't be asking that question. One has to communicate with God and be properly positioned to learn His will for their life. Plus, it's not God's will that we live a sinful life, treat people wrongly and be out of communication with Him. Since it's not His will that any should perish, being in His will positions us for everlasting life. Why would God send one to hell who is in line with His will? We don't need scripture to tell us that's not the type of God we serve. He proves that to us by relationship. God reveals himself only to those which He chooses. It's a privilege, not a right. In order to have that privilege, your heart has to be open, properly positioned and in communication with Him. None of this is by power or might, but by His Spirit. In the Spirit, all things are revealed; the Will of God is included.
The Kingdom of God and His Righteousness is..simply..Love and Peace. Jesus said Love your enemies and peacemakers are the children of God. Heaven is Love and Peace.

Thank you so much! I was so confused about this and trying to earn my way to deserving “all these things.” Because of who Christ is in me I am joint heir to all these things. All I need to do is turn inward and see him and my alignment with his good and perfect will for my life to remember.

Brother this was great for me. As someone who used to be in the occult ( I have since been baptized in 2017 ) I am fairly frightened to ‘manifest’ as you say because I DONT want it to come from the enemy’s camp.
Manifestation is a huge topic in the new age, and sometimes I still feel myself slipping into old patterns. I read it somewhere that ‘manifestation’ is called Prayer in the Christian world. But if you leave God out of it and assume you are doing it yourself, then it’s witchcraft. What do you think?

I'm glad you made it out of the darkness. It's smart to guard your heart in that way. Look at what Jesus said just before he was arrested.
John 17:6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word..."

As you see, Jesus manifested God's name, meaning God's authority. As long as what you're manifesting is consistent with the character and nature of God, it's safe. You will have certain sensations and emotions, let's call them triggers, that may seem familiar to what you used to do, but the Holy Spirit will teach you.
Manifesting God's name or God's spirit for a believer is all about being conformed to His image. He's already placed His spirit in you and given you a new heart (inner man) but you must renew the rest of your being, so it reflects what he's done in your spirit. This mostly happens through mind-renewal rather than conjuring God's spirit.
God's spirit knows what to do in you, you just make space in your heart for Him, keeping your mind focused on who Jesus is, in all His preeminence over all of creation, and allow God to shape you by His grace. Your body will respond by developing new neuropathways that are consistent with God's ways of thinking, but in the beginning, it may feel like the old stuff. Just bring your thoughts back to the authority of Jesus, acknowledging Him as Lord in your heart, and the transformation will follow.

God’s Kingdom is a government in heaven that will accomplish God’s will on earth. (Matthew 6:9, 10) A person seeks the Kingdom first by making it his or her most important concern in life. That would include not only being eager to learn about God’s Kingdom but also telling others about the good things it will accomplish. (Matthew 24:14) A person who seeks the Kingdom would also pray for it to come.-Luke 11:2.
God’s righteousness includes his standards for right and wrong conduct. (Psalm 119:172) a person seeks God’s righteousness by living according to God’s moral laws, which are always beneficial.-Isaiah 48:17.
The phrase all these things will be added to you is a promise that God will provide for those who put his Kingdom and his standards first in their life.-Matthew 6:31, 32.
How would you say one becomes righteous in the first place?
@@ClintByars “righteousness” can also be translated “justice” or “uprightness.” God’s righteousness is according to his personal standards and values. As the Creator, God has the right to set the standard for what is good and what is bad, what is right and what is wrong. (Rev. 4:11) We individually need to do our best to obey and follow God's laws and standards within our imperfect limits by doing good in all even tho others don't do so, keeping ourselves in check constantly.

No, the same way they have to seek/pursue in the race to win we too need to continue seeking/pursing and living up to Gods standards on a daily basis that way our righteousness is justified by God, remember Jesus was willing to come suffer for us, he was loyal and seeked Gods righteousness until his death and was justified, same with us, remain loyal and obey God even if we have to face death. 2 Timothy 4: 7 "I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish, I have observed the faith. 8. From this time on, there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me as a reward in that day, yet not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his manifestation."
