Originating in the 1970s, the Oklahoma City Police Department formed the Tactical Team as a response to hostage situations and barricaded suspects. As the team evolved, the OKCPD Tact Team has a rich history of growth, milestones, and a legacy of de-escalation. Though they've changed over the decades, their commitment to keeping our city safe remains. Anywhere. Anyway. Anytime.
