- Quick tutorial on how to embed a UA-cam or Vimeo video into a page using Adobe Dreamweaver CC. This is very simple, but I'm still asked all the time how to do it. Hopefully this covers the subject sufficiently. Submit any questions if you have them. Thanks.
it's 8 years old but still helped me a lot. Thanks!!
Within a minute, I subscribed. You make it so clear, you rock! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! This was simple, you explained it well, and best of all it worked!
Accent makes this 1000% better :D My plebby Aussie accent cannot compete
Extremely excellent by any standard.
As a Canadian I love your accent. 😁
Ha - many thanks Terry! I love Canada. Only been in Eastern and Atlantic areas though. Wish I could visit the rockies some day.
Thank you, Tony! Your video shows precisely and easily how to embed the videos in Dreamweaver CC. (and perhaps a good reason why you don't want to show "other videos" after yours is done! hahaha)
This tutorial helped me a lot. Very nicely explained. Awesome...
Thank You, it was really helpful to me!
Wow - thanks for the compliment. Glad I could help.
Thank You, it was really helpful to me! thanks
Thank you so much! This will get my grades up for sure!
Your videos are SO helpful!
Still relevant 5 years later
Great video... thank you for the information!
Super tutorial.... thanks so much.
Thank you so much for this tutorial
Worked well, thank you!
Great video! Really helpful!
Thank you so much ! Great work !
That is exactly what I was missing in my code, the "". The copy and paste would drop it for whatever reason and I wasn't catching it. THANKS!
I followed these directions to a tee and couldnt get this to work. It wasn't untill I went in and manually typed "http:" in the middle of the youtube embed code (right before the //www.youtube" part) that I finally got this to work! So odd but glad to figure it out after hours of pulling my hair out!
where should l add the "" ?
Thank you very much Tony!
Thanks Tony & others! Very helpful... just had to put in the http: in the embed code! Works like a charm.
aaawww you fixed my problem thank you !!
Thank you, this will give me an A in my webbclass! :D
Thanks man. I appreciate it !
Oh OK. Hit F8 and a box should come up that shows your "Files". At the top of the box that comes open will be a drop down menu that will show either: Local View, Remote Server, Testing Server, etc. You can select it there. Hope this helps! TLG
muchas gracias, pase varias horas intentandolo y con tu ayuda fue muy facil, saludos.
Me alegro de haber podido ayudar. Gracias por mirar mis videos.
nice tutorial toni
thanks so much!!
Hi there, your videos are really helpful. Thank you so much. I couldn't seem to find that white screen on your right side to click the arrow up to upload the video. I was able to work on Code and Design to embed the youtube video. HELP.
Thank you!
For a moment, I thought u were Forest Gump LOL
Have you uploaded the page and checked to see if the video is there. It probably will only show up as a white square until you upload. The previewer in Dreamweaver doesn't display the video unless you do the live view. Sometimes even that doesn't work, but it should work when uploaded.
thank you so much :D
Thank you very much, my website is looking promising now!
I mean I coulnd't seem to find the local view.. Do you know where I can find it? Thanks.
My videos keep showing up as a white square, only downloading a flash video and embedding that seems to work. HELP!
When i scroll over the area and click where I want to embed the code/want the video to be at..i dont see the same code that you get. WHen I copy and paste the video it says it cannot find the video.....
Check at the end of the code and make sure the http: part is there. Mine wasn't there, but it is and works fine.
I just want to let people know that the Http: part of the embed is missing on the code. so if it isn't working that is why.
haha thanks! Now it works
Thank you so much! been having this problem for weeks now! can't believe it was that easy -__-
Your welcome. Don't worry, it got me too lol. I was staring at the code for an hour thinking, whats missing. Lol. Then like a day later looked at it again and face palmed.
what do you mean? what code is it missing ?
The embedded code. For when you want to embed UA-cam videos. The "http:" is missing. I dont know if it is still missing, but that is what we were talking about.
Doesn't work like this anymore apparently, not for me.
Hi Tony, when I try and add a video to my website, I copy the code as is but the box stays grey and nothing every plays. Any ideas on what I should do?
Hey. Does it still stay gray when you do a live view in Dreamweaver? or after you upload to your web server and try to view it online? It really should work - but it will always be gray when you are working in design view. Hope this helps. TLG
What kind of accent is that? Where you from?
