I developed lymphedema after having my first child. I had a lot of edema. I am not obese or overweight. I continued to have babies and had swelling. I manage it with compression. I only have lymphedema on my right leg/primarily my foot. Can you explain why this happens after pregnancy? I had a normal non-surgery pregnancy, labor and delivery. No issues and I developed this swelling during pregnancy and it didn’t go away on my right calf and foot after 6 week postpartum. Thanks for touching in this as I am not in the category of having surgery/cancer, obese, etc. i was diagnosed with it a year after my first child and I was 28 years old. thanks!

Johanna Collins. I too have Lymphedema, along with gout in my right foot. My right ankle is very swollen, and I had a stroke in 2007 and my right side is paralyzed, and I have to use a wheelchair. You get so many suggestions from everybody telling you should try this and that. The swelling of my ankle occurred within the past two years. Now I'm trying to watch my diet and eat more vegetables and cut down on red meat. I was surprised to learn that many of the Doctors don't know a damn thing about Lymphedema, so they are lost just like me. I want to wish you well in your journey to find the answers, and God Bless.

WE NEED TO MENTION THAT IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO AVOID PORK , SHRIMP AND FISH WITH NO SCALES; OH! ALSO AVOID DUCK AND ANY FOOD FROM DIRTY ANIMALS. EAT HEALTHY, VEG AND FRUITS. ANY ILLNESS CAN BE REVERSIBLE
