    John
I've been watching your mini accuracy series. I've been shooting about 3 months now.
I was stunned at how much I learned and improved after watching the first 3 episodes.
I was anchoring in the wrong place and wasn't locking my elbow. What an improvement!
    Thx!!!!!! "Great Instructions"

Great advice. I'm glad the evenings are getting lighter now. I'm back to my routine after work each day.
    1. Don't even take boots off
    2. Grab beer from fridge
3.head straight to the back yard
    4.practice,practice,practice.....
    I love it. 😉👊✌

it was you who got me catapult mad, i remember the first catty i ever made was when i was a wee loon i tied together pencils in school with string and chained rubber bands and made pouches out of old clothing labels. but as soon as i watched your videos i started mooching and ive been hooked ever since

Thanks, for all your hard work John. Many blessings for you and yours. When we were kids we used to practice shooting from standing, kneeling and the almost impossible prone position.

Another thing that helped me is to imagine everything between your fork tips and the elbow of your other arm to be like a chain.
You want the chain to be straight, so everything between your fork tips and elbow should be on a straight line. Don't push your pouch towards your eye if that makes the chain crooked, move your eye over the chain.
    Also, keep a straight back.

Nice video I needed that tip on not dropping the elbow

I’m right eye dominant but I hold with my right hand and aim with my left eye. I’ve tried to hold left but it just doesn’t work for me. What really helped my accuracy was having a slingshot with a sight. I keep my elbow low like you suggest not to and I have great accuracy. Your suggestions and your videos have been very helpful for me finding what works for me. But everyone is different so my suggestion to everyone is experiment and find what works best for you. I have found that a combination of being comfortable with the way I shoot coupled with some technical aspects that John describes altered to suit me works best. It took me a while to get the perfect combination of all things to function properly, just don’t get discouraged and continue to experiment if it doesn’t work right away, eventually it will.

    John,
Any chance of a video giving the low down on band types please. For example heavy/light, hunting / target and best set up for heavy / light frames. There’s so much opinion and I can’t really make head nor tale of it all. I’ve found your videos invaluable so far keep up the good work

I bought a couple of Gamekeeper Catapults about 8 years ago from ebay. I was amazed at how much range they had and how accurate they were. I ended up loosing them during a house move and am wanting to get another one. Glad to see that gamekeeper John is still doing his thing. Britain's finest ambassador of catapults.

John I hope you can help, have a catapult, the flat elastics are held in by clamps, targets etc that I don’t use instead I am following your advice. Small garden 15feet target with mud balls. Not very good, clearly elevation and anchor are a problem I need to work on. However I found a childhood slingshot with rotten round tubes a wrist lock, again following a video I managed to put flat bands on it, not great but got them on. Now with this I am hitting the target every time, I can’t miss. Shooting through the forks and much more relaxed feeling overall!! I feel like I’m cheating or something. Any thoughts at all would be so welcomed.

Hi John any help and advice please? I hold the catty with my left hand and draw with my right hand which feels the most stable and natural stance for me. The problem I have is I have blur and double vision in my right eye which sadly is my dominant eye, so I have to close this eye and use my left which means when I use the folk tip as a reference point I shot left so I have to overcompensate and move my reference point right to the outside of my index finger (shooting OTF gangsta style) which isn't a very defined ref point for accuracy when it comes to live targets which is very frustrating. I've tried switching hands but it's not comfortable and I feel like I'm going to shoot my my own hand off ha! Not really sure what I can do to make adaptions so any advice would be great thanks in advance.

John ? If the flat bands come over the top of the slingshot, rather than around the sides, can you still shoot ganster on the side ?.

All of the Gamekeeper frames are shit hot. I use his PPSG and his PPMG. On first glance, the PPMG looks bigger? But it ain't. Same distance between forks as the PPSG. I like it that the PPMG can take Wilder bands without having to fold them in at the tips. But saying that......my overall favourite is the trusty old PPSG. fits my hand beautifully ,and is consistently very accurate. Mine never leaves my side, it's there when I need it.....I make sure of that. Each to their own. Hope this helps. 👊✌
