I like that you went through it quickly. For those of us who already pretty well know what we're doing in airliners, we don't need a 90 minute video breaking down every last little detailed step in the descent and approach process, just something that highlights the general steps in this specific model, and your video does that perfectly.
But this video is for everyone not just “Those in the know”, what about the people that don’t know and need a longer video, there’s forums for “Those in the know” and videos for people who need a visual lesson…
@@Mickymoore1969 - You contradict yourself; you say this video isn't just for "those in the know", then turn right around ask ask "what about the people that don't know and need a longer video...". Exactly...that's why I commented that THIS video is - for the most part - better suited to those who already have a good idea how to fly an airliner, and those many longer videos out there that go deeper into the finer details are generally better suited to less experienced virtual pilots. Surely we can agree on that?
@@NoelKerns Yeah whatever dude, you're right, I'm right [whatever], you sound really arrogant well that is how your comment appears and one thing I have learned in this life is to walk away from arrogant people.
@@Mickymoore1969 - Whatever...If I'm 'arrogant' in your mind because I have a little bit of experience and I don't need a long video, well, I guess there's not much I can do about that.
For autoland you need to use baro altitude set rather than radio altitude because it's more precise.the radio altitude it's a non precise approche and used only for verification.
I wish I could play your highly informative videos at half speed! Do you have any idea how many times I have to rewind 10 seconds to hear what you said, lol!
Not bad for a first effort but I need a few more flights, great info though. Could not find the tcas to turn on, I came in on landing way too high maybe because the approach would not turn on till I was almost on top of the runway. For people like me you and the other sim community are a great reference thanks.
Watched your first two videos and can't find the part where you manually inputted the ILS/GLS coordinates? Please could someone explain where I find these? Not got the navigraph subscription, so is there another way of finding these within the sim?
you seem like you have done this way to many times, I need a bigger course on this airliner lol either way I put it on 0.75 speed and kind of followed along :) great job
I literally have similar problems im just someone who likes too fly the planes for fun and doesnt care about the realism so im just trying to takeoff at one place and land at the other without all the auto pilot but for somereason with the 787 it just refuses to let me control it it will not let me go below a certain altitude or control flaps or gears so I found it unuseable for me and its sad too cause its my favorite plane but I'm forced to use other aircraft like the a320 because it will let me control the whole flight manually
Can someone please help me? Ever since the new Update for the 787 and the 747, my 787 does not work anymore. Whenever I try to start it up, at random times it just shuts back down and all the avionic screens just go blank. I've run through the checklist they give us and it still shuts down. I have not been able to fly the 787 since.

Love how you add some quirkiness as you do your videos!! LOL! You deserve a new subscriber! Thanks for the tips!

Great video!!
Hilarious, but professional!

To be honest, I had no problem following Mr Gatcomb in this video.
use arrow keys

Does the t/g indicater show if you made the flight plan in the world map or do you have to use simbreif ???
Which add ons have you installed for this plane ?????
Can you use the localizer and approach readings to land manually?

Why does your cockpit looks so much more modern than mine? Do we not have the same aircraft?
Thanks. Great videos. Which mods do you use for the 787?
I believe he uses the premium deluxe edition which costs around 85 dollars :(
You can download the 787 online. Then you can use the mods that make it good like Kuro and Horizon Sim@@doggovision5729
Where is the ETA of T/D? I have been trying to find it, can't seem to locate it in FMC. Need to set alarm for long haul flights!

You FA would not have bounced her had, if you had watched the green Top of Decent indicator on the magenta flight path on the ND. 😜
Why is it when I try to take off with the 787 in mid- climb it'll do this violent pitch straight towards the ground killing all 213 passengers
Same happening to me did u find any fix ?

How come when i hit a check point my plane randomly does a u turn
Check the FMS, it may have the next way point behind where you are. If that happens I typically delete the previous waypoint.

@@Iwan_S510 I have a Xbox but I bought stuff from the market place for the 787
Check if your engine generators are on. Sometimes I find that the checklist prompts you to switch them on, when they are actually already on.
I know on the 747 you gotta wait 7+ mins for the navigation to align, then crank up the engine.. 787? I still not have a clue what's wrong with it
