My daughter just found a 1987 DeVille that looks a lot like this - white exterior, blue interior. We bought it (for $2500) for her to learn to drive on. Seems easy to work on and it is solid. I actually wish it was my daily driver, it’s in awesome shape and starts right up every time. Thanks for showing your gorgeous red-on-white Caddy!!! ❤
It's a great ride! Definitely a head turner. I actually sold this car. And bought a 1947 kaiser special check it out. I posted a video on my channel. I miss my 87 though
I also had purchased an 87 Cadillac Deville 6 months ago for $500 it was running okay but did alot of work to it since we had it we replaced radiator , did front and back brakes, sparkplugs, distributor cap and fuel filter..now it stopped on us yesterday so now I think the fuel pump needs to be replaced..but I love these kind of vehicles plus the parts are not that pricey and easy to fix..yours looks pretty good but we also gonna put some work into ours aswell interior and paint wise can't wait till she all fixed up
@@bringbacktheclassics yes sir. little by little. Fixing to change the water pump. Radiator fans wont come on. Not sure whats going on. Im been careful though.
The fan not kicking on might be a wiring problem. I'm not to familiar with the fans of the cadillac. But my 2005 dodge ram fan wouldn't kick on and I had to replace the wiring harness and it worked like new
Thanks brother, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Unfortunately I sold the car for a profit. I'm currently in a 63 impala which is not a bad up grade if I say so myself. Keep your head up and stay humble brother.
My Aunt bought a white 87 sedan DeVille new, she drove it into her 90s about 12 years ago. Nice car's , drive it easy and watch your fluid levels. My Aunt loved hers
Its in the radio Gm Delco radio notorious for going bad. I have a Symphony Sound with cassette still works stored the radio in a heated and air colntroleed basement i can sell you the radio for 95.00 and it works. I just pulled it to get a Cd player for my 1990 Cadillac.
These were all in the junkyards by 1998. The 4100 Hook & tow was two gloryifed Vega engines glued together. These are also bad for head gaskets and alum intake cast iron engine and no water jacks for cooling the engine. These would also crack the intake manifolds as low as 15k miles. Look at this link to a retired Gm mechac that tells you what garbage these are ua-cam.com/video/Fl29Q8KdCCI/v-deo.html I have a friend that yanked this out and put in a GM 3800 Superchaged Series III engine and computer from a 2004 or newer Ultra Park avenue
I know that this is an older post but I do have the directions for how to use that radio from my 88 Eldorado's owner's manual. I'll be happy to send you a copy of the correct pages if you let me know how to get it to you. Be well and may God continue to bless you brother.
Are you referring to the "brake fluid lines" if I helped please drop a like. Unfortunately I don't have this car anymore but I'm here for whatever questions you have.
@@ExiledSummoner damn, I'm not going to lie man. My Deville was my first classic. I'm so glad I go rid of it. I made some profit then I bought my 47 kaiser. Same with the kaiser I had to get rid of it because there were no parts out there in case something happen to it. The Deville just had so many mechanical problems. That 4.1 is no joke. BUT if you want to stay with cadillac you'll need to buy 1975 or older I was told those were easier to work on. Now I stick with chevy and I have 1 F150 1975. Good luck brother.
Does it turn on? Check the breaks out, what type of engine? It was a great daily for me on the winter. The V8 kept the car nice and warm lol. Congratulations on the inheritance.

Yeah, thank anyways. I sold the car about 3 years back
I could use the manual
To change the time you have to press set and use the seek buttons.
Thanks I'll try that, none of the buttons seem to work. Hopefully that sequence works though.
I have one. Love driving it, hate working on it. Worst car I ever worked on.
Definitely not a car I like to work on but I do love to drive it
what are those 2 round things plugged into the bottom of the master cylinder called
