Figuring out what's wrong with the truck and why it won't start. C10
Переглядів 84Місяць тому
my #1967 #C10 column shift a.k.a 3 on the three doesn't start. so far, we have noticed that there is no power going to the #distributor and that the rely is not even wired to anything. The yellow wire I mentioned in the video needs to be covered since it is no longer needed. I need to purchase 12 gauge wire since the new distributor needs 12v. if there is anything you noticed, please comment. h...

I have custom panels but no way to mount. They have made with custom wrapped particle board Any idea how to mount these
Still going get dirty once you start it and circulate oil, flush some diesel through it first if you want to clean it
Your experience feedback is so helpful. You were very professional when speaking! Thank you!
Did it have holes for the panel clips on the panel?
Yes, it did have holes already. More like lines cut out you have to squeeze the clips in there. Good luck brother.
The vin is also on the firewall under the hood it is also on the frame too
By the way, only a 1963 CHEVROLET had those chrome fender pieces. Cadillac didn’t offer a 283 CID, only CHEVROLET.
To remove the thermostat, I’d use a 15 ton forklift and a 15 ton chain with a hook. Which might be overkill. Or, I’d just use a screw driver, put it through the thermostat and lift upwards. Same results, but a screwdriver 🪛 is lightweight. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Looks legit
Is that Cheech Marin narrating?
He brings back a lot of memories. Glad I could take you back to memory lane
Bro i need everything you can tell me abt the deville, i got one left to me and i wanna turn it into my daily
Does it turn on? Check the breaks out, what type of engine? It was a great daily for me on the winter. The V8 kept the car nice and warm lol. Congratulations on the inheritance.
Nice truck always loved that style of F-150
It's a great rust free truck. I can't complain. Very fun to drive.
I also had purchased an 87 Cadillac Deville 6 months ago for $500 it was running okay but did alot of work to it since we had it we replaced radiator , did front and back brakes, sparkplugs, distributor cap and fuel filter..now it stopped on us yesterday so now I think the fuel pump needs to be replaced..but I love these kind of vehicles plus the parts are not that pricey and easy to fix..yours looks pretty good but we also gonna put some work into ours aswell interior and paint wise can't wait till she all fixed up
I wonder how the impala door panels compare to my 65 cutlass. Would be nice to be able to buy my panels in Chevy red.
My daughter just found a 1987 DeVille that looks a lot like this - white exterior, blue interior. We bought it (for $2500) for her to learn to drive on. Seems easy to work on and it is solid. I actually wish it was my daily driver, it’s in awesome shape and starts right up every time. Thanks for showing your gorgeous red-on-white Caddy!!! ❤
Oh shoot, looks like you got rid of yours and got something else! 😂 Lol, hope all is well in your life, bro, cheers!
Good luck to you and your daughter.
Come be a part of my team Chef!
I wish!
Why not just show the replacement? Too much talk about nothing to do with the battery replacement.
UA-cam has a feature that allows you to fast forward the video. Good luck. 😉
I have the fleetwood version. 1986 fleetwood de elegance. Half vinyl top. Getting ready to slowly restore her
I found this helpful, so thanks! Very well-spoken and genuine. ☮️❤️
Thank you, I didn't mean to make it so long. Appreciate your feed back
I have one. Love driving it, hate working on it. Worst car I ever worked on.
Definitely not a car I like to work on but I do love to drive it
Nice 63
Yes, it was a nice car. Needed some work but overall it was in good condition.
I only see a 327 ss impala on any year only
Hold your phone the other way you get a better picture
Where are the panels from?
Classic industries
So how did you get the lug off? My stud is stationary but somehow the lug just spinning on the stud but won't come off. Looks just like yours
Took it to the shop that installed and they used a small saw to cut it in half, and it came off from there. Good luck
What about the silver part that goes behind the door handle and arm rest?
That's an extra part. You'll need to order those parts.
do u have a Impala for sale
A 68 for 30k fully restored
15 18 hope was hundreds because this car needs alot of work and money invested in it alot of potential but is gonna take alot of money to have it done that's probably why u gave up on it Ofcourse you not gonna say that
It sold for a fair price. At the time of the sale, I was still in the Navy. Now that I'm retired I wish I'd kept it so finish it off. A lot of work never hurt anyone. If people are worried about how much work or money a car is going to take they shouldn't be looking into buying classic cars. I buy project Cars and make them a little better and sell them.
@@bringbacktheclassics ok that's other ppl I'm just saying for the car I saw in the video and condition it was cuz u talking about 15 and 18 hope the was 1500 or 1800 because I bought my 64 Chevy impala ss and way better condition interior all there with paint job ok a mean I'm still getting it painted but I got it for less thn 10k and I'm the type of man the I like to put money on my impala ss I got alot of money put in invested on mine is not a typical original 64 everything brand in it
@alexga681 yeah, for a 64 I wouldn't pay 10k. It all depends on the location. Next time you see a deal out there, let me know.
@@bringbacktheclassics that's u but 64 is way more expensive thn a 63 and why would I let u know I'll get it for my self
@alexga681 way more expensive? According to you. Everyone knows 63's are the best. 64's just became mainstream but it's actually the uglier of 62, 63, 64 🤣😂
Just got my 86 deville in june. 84k miles 1 owner. Thanks for the vid bro
Not a problem brother. Enjoy the car
@@bringbacktheclassics yes sir. little by little. Fixing to change the water pump. Radiator fans wont come on. Not sure whats going on. Im been careful though.
The fan not kicking on might be a wiring problem. I'm not to familiar with the fans of the cadillac. But my 2005 dodge ram fan wouldn't kick on and I had to replace the wiring harness and it worked like new
@@bringbacktheclassics i replaced the cables and motor fans. I think it might be the relay or cooling module. I guess ill find out 😂
I would like import same this car. I like it ❤
I hope it all works out for you man, i get it bro seriously
Appreciate the support. Yes, it all worked out.
My father would drive me to school in his Kaiser or 50 Bullet nose Studebaker.
Beautiful memories
They were so ugly that they were beautiful.
Couldn't agree with you more.
Hi Handsome.!!
Very nice install. I’m installing the same exact black door panels on my 63 right now. The metal poke clips, once they’re on the door panel do you hit them with a hammer to flatten the clip onto the panel? Any help is much appreciated.
You got this, brother! Remember, slow is smooth, smooth is fast!
Man! I love that 1987 Caddy bro💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it brother
@@bringbacktheclassics no problem bro. I even love that chime bell when you start the car up too man Lol 😁😁💯💯💯💯I’m a Caddy fan too bro
@Ddog2k3 it was a beautiful car. I purchased it for 2k from a retired cop in NJ. It was al dusty and didn't run. Just needed a tune up. But if you are looking for a caddy don't get the v8 4.1 it's to hard to work on unless you're a mechanic.
@@bringbacktheclassics o is that right? O ok cool. Yes I’ll keep that in mind. Yea because I be hearing people and seeing on the internet how bad the 4.1 V8 are and not good engines I mean that’s what I heard lol. But yes thanks for the heads up man yea I know now not to get a Caddy with a 4.1 V8. Appreciate that bro.
Hard to believe they made cars so attractive when we see car's on the road from the 90s on up. I tried to get in another guy's car at the supermarket the other day!! Back in the day you knew your car they didn't all look identical
Couldn't agree with you more. This 47 definitely had its own identity.
@@bringbacktheclassics Ya bro you don't see these often. This is the first one I've seen in years, pretty rare. Last one I seen was I think a nostalgia drag racing event, Henry J's, gasser's all old school car event. I miss my old Galaxie had it almost 20 year's but lost it during Obama, house everything. Millions lost during that time. I had the car located up to December 2021 was for sale on Facebook marketplace for only 10k, I know the guy didn't do anything to it since I sold it eight years ago because the price would be a lot more. I know the VIN by heart had it so long. Kaiser Frasier I think the last one I saw it was a gasser, really cool. This one you have here appears near bone stock..
One day, I wanna be like you!
Just installed both batteries and Aux batteries. Dash said start/stop unavailable charging. Any idea?
Did you make sure you reconnect all the wires in the auxiliary battery. I know it has a ground that i almost forgot to reconnect
Is that a nova
Good question, no, it's not its a 1963 Chevrolet Impala non SS
😮💨 she’s looks good
Thanks, she was a solid car. Unfortunately, it sold. I can't believe I let 3 63impalas go!!!
I’m looking for a Chevy impala is that 63 still for sale?
Sorry brother. It sold shortly after I posted it. 18k
How are these comparable to the 1991-1993 models
I have no idea, did you find out?
Can you show all the tags location so we know where to look for matching numbers please!
Great question, depending of the car, you'll need to look in different places. I apologize for the lack of communication. It would be better for you to look up the year off the car and Google it
Thm
That smile was worth the wait!!!😊😊
Right! Thank you for your comment.
I really enjoyed this video.
Thank you very much! I appreciate the feed back
Two words….Fumoto Valve!
Yeah, I saw that I thought it was pretty cool!
Thanks for the video bro!!!
Appreciate the feedback!
I know that this is an older post but I do have the directions for how to use that radio from my 88 Eldorado's owner's manual. I'll be happy to send you a copy of the correct pages if you let me know how to get it to you. Be well and may God continue to bless you brother.
Yeah, thank anyways. I sold the car about 3 years back
I could use the manual
need to see more of it
It was completely resorted, it's gone now. 😢
