My 800 is overheating. It’s brand new. I took it back to the dealer. He said when he’s driving fast it runs beautiful but when I get down to 8 miles an hour that’s when it overheats. Problem is is I can’t drive it 40 miles an hour everywhere so we took it out to River run. It’s like 7 miles of trails. We was coming back only after driving it towards their trails for like 10 minutes when we had to come back into the park area where everyone’s trailers are at there’s a 5 mile an hour speed limit, the thermostat is hot as it can be and if I try to put a oversize thermostat on it, they said it would void the warranty. I have no idea what to do.
Nice catch ! I have a Massimo that eats through plugs like a two stroke. Don't leave home without one. They smell like they tend to run rich also.. today's bad gas ? maybe nature of the dragon ?
The Massimo is notorious for fouling plugs out. Have you tried to do a ECU reset. Then go out & drive it at all different throttle positions & speeds & it might relearn the proper AFR.
Got a 2018 odes dominator 1000 very hard to start as engine hard to turn over. New starter ,starter clutch and gear , flywheel and stator oh of course new 500 cca battery. Did find out today if I take spark plug wires off it spins over. Like it should. I have heard about a software update. Any advise thanks Freddie
I don't know about a software up date for the ECU but for the Zeus screen yet. So you say when you pull the spark plug wires off it turns over ok? Not taking the spark plugs out? I would check vavle clearances & also check your primary clutch to make sure it isn't trying to turn the secondary clutch & transmission over when trying to start it. Could have a bad oneway bearing on the clutch.
Is there anyway the ignition timing could be off other than the flywheel key? What Don think about crank sensor ? I know I’m fishing but not sure of what else it could be thanks for trying to help. Great channel
i have a odes dominator 1000 2017 its putting oil in the air filter and there is oil on the bottom of the motor do you have any suggestions on why the machine is losing a lot of oil.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. You might be able to help me this this issue. the start up switch is not shutting off the system after heated up. This the second key switch I change and after a few months it’s the same. Specifically after driving the ATV for an our. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
Correct with the plugs in and have already checked valve clearance It’s like the decompression isn’t working. But I don’t think they have one. Tried with clutches off. Is there away that the ignition timing could be off ? I’m stumped not sure of where to go from here.
How was the motor running before you started to replace all of those parts? I'm wondering if you could have bad rid bearings. There is the possibility of it skipping time but I haven't ever had that problem in the 1000 are the 800. But it is definitely worth checking out. Really hard to diagnose with out actually having it in front of me.
Sorry I just saw this comment. You need to check the 4 x 4 relay to make sure that the relay is getting power and that the relay sending power across it to actuate the actuated motor
Do you have an email address I’d be able to send you a video on? Got a starting issue I took a video of and was wanting your input. Thank you for your videos!
