It was nice speaking to you as you were exiting Fleet Auction this morning, (Monday 12th Feb) We where picking up 2 x 17 ton box vans and using the ramp to in the compound to drive our car into the back of one of the trucks. Stay safe, Mick the trucker 👍
In the 70/80's we paid £3/4000 to get curtain siders built onto old flatbeds and cut down shitty tilts, it seems criminal to me to cut down fairly good curtain siders to make shitty flats nowadays, they never look right, the headboards are weak and all 4 corners are eyesores were the tensioners were, those mercs for export are alot of work at the final destination to reasemble, potential death traps welding/flitching 3 chassis sections back together, got to be an african job, Top tip, leave the air freshioners in the plastic bag and just open the top, they last longer and it stops your eyes watering from the intense smell, also those old curtains just roll them up around the 2 poles, tidy and easier to handle, i like the new plates, are they legal ? looks like irish specs, anyway cheers ,..
Hi mate, yes I agree I don’t like cutting good curtain siders into flat beds but if that’s what makes money I will do it. And also yes when the customer told me he wanted the vehicles cutting up I didn’t agree with it but here again it pays the bills and puts food on the table so I’ll do it 😁
