What u9 Phil. Blessing your hearts from Sikeston Missouri
It’s so amazing to me that Phil Leah can still do these shows. He is 82 and about 2 months older than I am. No way could I do that. Of course, musically, I never could have done it at any age. Way to go, Phil! You Keep on Truckin’!
And had a liver transplant. The music keeps him alive.
Medeski, Scofield & Haynes… Phil’s got some pretty good friends!

Always did
Phil's friends have the Jerry Vibe and respect the heritage
Sounds real sweet
It was special to witness this live last night...perfection !!
Honestly one of the best Phil shows I've ever seen. Sco & Warren have always had such fire chemistry, and then add in Medeski and Molo into the mix, made the Zone that much immensely stronger.... I'll just say this, if you haven't listened to the entire show yet, do it right now.
Sadly I couldn’t make it it. Where can I find the show? Video or soundboard I don’t care I just wanna hear it.
@@Masons4Liberty yup I’ll grab ya the link
Where can I watch the rest of the show??
It speaks for the absolutely great Phil Lesh to gather such great musicians as Warren Heynes, John Scofield, and Ed Medewski under the name of Phil Lesh & Friends. SUPERB!!! I am the generation of the Grateful Dead but only a few months ago came to detect the Grateful Dead and consorts and offsprings for myself. I am, so to speak, a very very late Deadhead.
Phil Lesh looks ever more like a Distinguished University Professor of The Fine Arts. He certainly is a prime representative of the finest of all arts -- Music!
Warren Haynes and John Scofield are a match made in heaven ❤️
I like the Tempo Phil!!!!!!❤🎉😂
Amen to that
Schofield is inventing new lead lines as the song develops and that's what Jerry would want. Lovely.
Thank you Phil!!!
What a surprise and a thrill to see Warren Haynes on the ticket tonight. Big Good
IS THAT WARREN HAYNES!!!!!???? Yes!!!! 🙌
MISTER Warren Haynes. He’s married.
@@sneakerfacevids441 yes sir
Fkn A! I didn’t know Warren AND Molo were back with Phil! Now we need Rob Baracco and Jim my herring and we’re set
Yep
Hardest working man in the biz
I was there, it was very good.
Scofield shreds light
Phil is true anchor of the Real Deadheads....this ain't no D&C show....tempo is right and the Real Vibe
With John Scofield !
Yeah I'm kinda surprised Jerry and John didn't get together and put something out a long time ago.
O me , you guys that were there, remember that shit. Kinda like the good ole days!!!
So grapevine wonderful. See you Phil @ Sacred Rose~!
Question: How many strings does Phil's bass have?
Phabulous Phil n Phriends! Phank You!
Complete lineup change from when I saw them in Seattle last month…this is a real 2 set show! What I saw was good, but this??
Warren is so high to start this set. Puffed some heavy bud!
Add started before the music
Need four
Phycd for Levitate, hope the same line up
Warren is on tour and is booked for another gig that night. I'm not sure who Phil will throw in for guitar and vocals. But with all of the talent that will be at Levitate, I definitely expect something special.
The feller on keys was one of my favorite actors on Breaking Bad :|
Is John Mayer the only person these new fools know ?
Literally was going to post the exact same thing… 🤯
Poor Hank
Medeski's the name, and he's a classy veteran.
@@scooter2163 I haven’t seen MM&W since like 2007 or so. They looked like infants back then, and I didn’t recognize him. Definitely has Hank Schroeder vibes now.
@@waylonnicholson371 Yea, always dug them, especially Medeski to be honest. Last time I saw them was long before you did in 07! He gets invited around to other things too as his skills on the keys are pretty special.
DC is done
Isn't this pretty big scale for a P&F?
Sorta. It's a lot bigger than the Cap where he typically does residencies in this part of the country (fits about 1,800 people) but it's still got a very intimate feel despite how many people it is said to be able to fit (they say around 6-7K but it feels more like 3K when you're in there). There isn't really a bad seat in the house and as a result of it's size compared to the Cap, prices are far more reasonable for tickets.
@@Evan-hs4vd thanks. Wish we had something like this located centrally in Chicago.
Is Amy Helm with them?
10 times better than Dead & Co.
I agree and I want to go and see them. I can’t handle the lights at concerts because of seizures but I would definitely do whatever I can to stay healthy for Phil
Walter white on the drums
Ànd still lots of magic tickets available for purchase at shows..just don't eat any apples
He’s ok..... there’s a guy... named Jeremy diantiono Who plays at Phil’s club in San Rafael, California
The terrapin cross roads. He sings with san geronimo...one of the best lead singer in the Bay Area.the greatest singer ...is CHRIS ISAAK....HES NOT ONLY GREAT....HES THE NICEST KATS AROUND
@Karma Mechanic it closed. I use to sell the stuff for san geronimo...I was the Merch guy. Did he sell it. Or closed.
i dont like warrens voice but the band is incredible.
I'm with ya. The 1st Dead and Company or whatever I saw ages ago at Coors Amp. in San Diego had Warren singing lead vocals. I couldn't get into it. Afterwards, I never saw another Dead & Co. show except for a Bob & peeps show at some casino in East County Diego. Killer B.T. Wind that day.
After seeing almost 80 shows w/ Jerry, I just can't bear to hear other's try & duplicate his songs.
I will say this Phil show that Gnu's premiering now sounds awesome. Some real picking going on. Looking forward to hearing his Unbroken Chain.
I'd rather see Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings or Rawlings Machine now a days or any other numerous original acts.
Nick Cave, Stereolab is touring again, Marc Ribot, endless modal/spiritual jazz revival going on or just stay home & listen to records, lol.
@@j.t.walter5086 i havent seen jerry because im only 18 so i still go to the shows that speak to me (jmf, phil, melvn, grateful shred) . but yeah its all about original music.
@@isaacsweeney626 I can relate to that brother. Technically I like to say I attended my 1st GD show at Universal Amp. in 1973 when I was 6 months in utero in mama's womb, lol.
However, I actually saw my first show when I was 15 at the last Irvine run in 1989 & I was immediately hooked. 2nd show was Dominguez 5-5-90 & my last Brent show was 7-12-90 R.F.K.!!!
(last Brent Dark Star).
Brent's passing was devastating.
IMO, Jerry & the band peaked in '89 & '90. Jerry was always improving on guitar despite some rough mid eighties vocal moments. I saw most of my shows in 1991 with Hornsby. So I barely made the cut agewise. I knew how blessed I was just to be alive while they were still around & determined to catch as much JGB & Dead as I could. The last solid run I saw was Expo 93 & I saw one cool 94 Eugene show. I caught the unimaginable "Unbroken Chain" at my one & only 1995 show in Vegas and that was it.
By the end of 1992 all I cared about was JGB shows, Meat Puppets & Dinosaur Jr.
Vince's Casio tone was never my thing.
At least we have the lossless FLAC masters on hard drive!
In High School I'd have cassettes mailed to me from kind heads who ran trading classifieds in the back of Relix magazine. Never could imagine having everything.
Give me a fookin break. He's 62 years old. I'd like to see you play as many shows as he does and how you'd sound. 🤦♂️
promosm ✌️
Scooooooooooo!!!! Lol
We saw the Dead.... in Hartford, New Haven ..... Springfield.... Wolsey Hall.... Waterbury Palace.... Radio City Music Hall....Raceway Park...💥🌏💥💥🎶🎶🔥🍺🍺🍀🍀🌏❤❤❤
They are so much better than Dead and Company.
THE NEW DEAD
Longest, most boring warm up ever. Play already
No more shakedown st. Get a job
That was Warren and boy was he boring. Put some energy into it
huh????
I got out a downvote for this.
Embarrassing
Not embarrassing
How?
I agree. Slow. No energy. Glad I saw all them decades ago when they still had it.
@@brianjenks1 I conquer. I'm even more irritated Scorsese & what's his face thinks he can play Jerry in a movie!! Jonah Hill pitched it!!! The nerve of that dude.
If Jerry's ex was the one who approved that shit....SHAME.
Medeski, Scofield & Haynes… Phil’s got some pretty good friends!
