Christ I remember those brief cases struck fear in every recruit if they were walking by themselves.
You do a tough job! S*A*L*UT*E!! From a retired Sailor. I taught OS A School twice; 1989-92 and 1996-99. Had some great trainees and some trouble makers.

The memories
I remember seeing her and thinking "That's the one from the videos"
She's right, FQA is the police for recruits. But damn are they necessary. From one PO1 to another, bravo zulu on doing that tough job of pushing boots.
I was a starboard watch and an FQA checked the log, tried to give me a yellow card but I proved that person wrong!! One of the memorable moments I had🤔🤔
My biggest regret in life was not passing Navy bootcamp

I’m pretty sure she was there 3 years ago doing our drill inspection, I also think she caught me and this one guy walking to close across the grinder and smoked us lol

Back in the day they were MED (Military Evaluation Department) and had red name tags instead of briefcases. It was still an "oh shit" moment if you had to interact with them, be it on the street or in the compartment for an inspection. Straight to pucker factor 12!

When I was at RTC (1997-98) seems like ancient times, the base was completely different, RDCs made it "rain" if you messed up and there were a lot of tornadoes in North Chicago, in the winter time. This auditing of recruits with a briefcase seems a bit soft. Do we no longer operate Recruit Training as, "fear your RDCs, come together as a team, then realize your RDCs were actually really cool and just doing their job"?
I'll bet the CC's nowadays don't Hurricane Your Shit out into the street during Inspections. Their 1-5 day is probably cake too. The CC's years ago loved to put You thru Mini-Mo then later Full-Mo...
